Find a bracket that will span the columns. Drill and insertlead anchors into the brick at the correct locations for the connecting fasteners.

I would build a stud wall and get rid of the recessed niche. Once done you will have plenty of support in securing the TV mount.

Ask for current copies of all their sales and contractors licenses as well as current copies of their general liability and workers comp insurance policies. Also, google them to see if they even "show up" and if they do read their reviews!

You might want to look into AB2299 for the state of California. Add additional living area and raise the value 160k-400K to all R1 Properties. We build these for a living and are seeing a 2% return rate on your investment.

Direct added value to your home:

Finish out unfinished living areas

Upgrades to bathroom and kitchen

Add additional living area

All other items completed to home have negligible value added benifits in terms of Apprasial added value.
