I would build a stud wall and get rid of the recessed niche. Once done you will have plenty of support in securing the TV mount.

Who is the builder sub-contracting the work to? THere are companies that do nothing but gutters. THere are also siding companies who handle the gutters.

No need for s econd mositure barrier which is what the paper-face is. Just roll out unfaced insualtion atop the existing. Or, as an option, rent a blower and use loose-fill insulation.

I agree, no less than 4/12 but the sheathing must be layered 100% with Ice & Water memebrane first.

If they were included, file a suit in small claims which you may win but never collect. Give the builder a final warning, in WRITING (email or certified), that you will be going online and posting comments about your negative experience.

Definitely use the LED bulbs but be sure that they are dimmable. The light output is much, much better than any other type of bulb. I know that they are more expensive but the CFL-type bulbs burn out much too quickly.
