BUYER BEWARE: THEY SUBCONTRACT ALL OF THEIR WORK TO UNSKILLED, UNLICENSED, UNINSURED AND UNSUPERVISED COMPANIES AND WORKERS. If you are considering RoofTek, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!! We hired RoofTek based on the good ratings and positive reviews. We did our homework-we spent weeks, not just a day or two, researching companies, checking licenses, insurance, BBB, reviews, etc. We unfortunately chose RoofTek. Little did we know that our worst nightmare was about to begin. They do not have solid roofing experience! Tear-off crew and installers were not trained or even supervised! Two workers fell off ladders, one needing emergency care. A nail gun was not properly secured and slid off the roof and went through a large window. Luckily, no one was under it when it fell and no one was sitting at the kitchen table when it went through the glass. We had broken and scratched windows, siding that had multiple holes in it, damaged railings, damaged landscaping, etc.) That was just damage to the exterior. Worse yet, they did not follow manufacturer's recommendations for installation, VOIDING our extended warranty. Somehow, they managed to qualify as a "Preferred Provider" with Owens Corning. Do NOT let this fool you! We paid for a 50 year warranty that is WORTHLESS due to faulty installation!! In addition, they did not even bother to register the warranty in which they only have 60 days to do after installation. It's been 16 months and they still haven't tried to register it. After speaking to the Owen's Corning Rep, they said it's too late to register extended warranties. It's been less than 2 years and we already have singles starting to pull up. Some of the newly installed shingles are so damaged by the installation that our 20 year old, storm damaged roof looked better. We went several winter months without gutters. We had to make several calls, emails and texts to get them to come out to install the gutters. They did such a terrible job on the gutters that they are still leaking and look horrible! Improper shingling throughout the roof. Did not cover all of the hip edges. Cut shingles too short on the rake edges, exposing the drip edge and deck. Edges are cut so badly that it can be seen from the ground 3 stories down. Damaged facia in several areas. Did not replace drip edge where it wasn't "convenient" for them. Did not secure ice shield or underlayment. Did not shingle the valleys correctly. Did not install the flashing correctly. I would be shocked if they properly sealed the areas where they removed the roof vents. We're honestly scared to check at this point. In an attempt to "fix" the siding, they tore off the damaged siding in several areas and then left it uncovered for months during the spring snow and rain. We had to call/text/email several times to get a response. Most communication went unanswered by the company and their "representatives". The windows that they tried to replace were contracted by someone who we later found out was not licensed and not insured. We had to have one window replaced 3 times due to obvious defects in the glass. Two windows leak now when water gets on them. The windows don't even come close to matching the old ones and it looks absurd. There's so much more to list-we could write a novel. We feel like we were deceived in every way. We did not get what we were promised in our contract and we have little recourse outside of court. Strangely enough, trying to write honest reviews about our experience have disappeared. Not sure what to make of that.
For the aforementioned reason
They did a great job.
RoofTek was informative and careful with our property. They made sure we knew what to expect and cleaned up the job efficiently.
The management and organization was horrible.
Did a good job and price is fair.
Initial work was done very satisfactory. There were some left over problems that were rather difficult to take care of. The head office did not support complaints well.
The whole experience was wonderful. They did a great job.
RoofTek was prompt and very efficient from start to finish. We are very happy with our new roof!
The employee's of Roof Tech were polite and respectful. I was surprised when the roof was completed in one day.
From sales to scheduling to installation to customer service, and finally accounting, RoofTek was great to work with. I wish more service companies were even close to this good to work with.Thank you!
The address of the project is 11 East 900 South
The employees at RoofTek were professional at all times starting with the sales reps to the project manager. The quality of the materials and the workmanship is of the highest standards. Best of all, they didn't quit on me even when my insurance company had. My roof was completed in one day with only a bit of cleanup the next morning Amazing! I would highly recommend RoofTek.
I'm not a roofing expert, but I'm very happy with the work done and with the people that did it. The work seems top notch and was done professionally and quickly. And the staff was very willing to assist me and all my concerns or issues were handled to my satisfaction. They did a great job!
Project went as planned. Little effort on the home owners end which was great.
THEY LEFT CIGERETE BUTTS ALL AROUND THE HOUSE AND YARD.
Great job and beautiful roof. Done fast and left our home clean.
I always hold my breath when dealing with a contractor that I've never worked with before. I was relieved to find that Rooftek was fantastic to work with and they completed my roof ahead of schedule and it looks amazing! I had some questions about insurance billing and their support team was easy to reach and answered all of my questions. I'm really glad I decided to take a chance with them!
Everything was great until it was time to settle the bill. I have tried for over a month to get a final settlement and our “marketing agreement” payment. No one returns calls at the billing office - at least now that they owe me money.
They seem to know what they're doing but the customer services was abysmal.
I referred several friends based on my experience with Blair. I could have referred several more but when I started to have problems with the rest of the company I stopped.
RoofTek took good care of us and we love our new roof!
easy to work with!
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of RoofTek as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
