They took 9 months to complete the roof. The people in the office that I spoke with only wanted payment. I told them that I wouldn't pay until the work was done. They continued calling me. They threatened to put a lien on my house. They changed the amount by $7,000. They charged a dumpster fee when there was no dumpster. The employees were uncooperative. They wouldn't let me have a copy of anything. They tried to justify the increase by saying the cost of shingles had increased. I checked myself, it only went up by 10%. I was not given a copy of the invoice until the end. There were a lot of issues.
The quality of their work is good, but they take quite a bit of time to get it done.
River City Roofing was very dependable. They were quick to contact me after a natural disaster wiped out my house and roof. I needed a new roof as soon as possible. They came out, gave me a quote, and the quote was exactly what I paid. I am very pleased with the quality of work. This was during the winter. Weather permitting, they were able to do the roof for us, and I am pleased with it.
The crew boss, Aurelio Andrade, did a really good job inspecting everything as they were doing it. He was here every day checking things to make sure there were no problems.
They did a great job.
Brian, the owner, put me first on the list because it was going to rain and he wanted to get my roof done due to the damage. He wanted to get it done before the rain came and caused any more damage, which was fantastic.
We hired River City but had subcontractor do work
Overall, I am not satisfied. I wasn't home due to my illness. My daughter was there on my behalf. They said that there should be someone to supervise, but no one was there. The request for payment was done in intervals, and they asked me to make a payment before the project was finished, although initially they told me I wouldn't have to pay anything until the project was completed. When I asked, they told me that they needed to pay the workers after paying about half the amount my gutters and fascia board did not get done. I believe I was overcharged a lot for the roof, given the time it took to complete the job. It was fast, and I don't believe they did everything they said they would do. I still have the fascia board that was in the garage, and I don't have the gutters, for which they said they purchased all the material. They threatened to send me to collections.
Communication is very poor, work is fast but maybe too fast. Didn’t do a good job cleaning up the worksite, a few nails would be expected but found nails and also had to clean the whole sidewalk of debris that they neglected to clean.
The one thing I really liked about them was their high-quality communication.
Originally could not find a contractor in the area after hurricane Ida to even give me estimates. Once we found RCR they responded to all our needs, including recommending we get a structural engineers report. It took almost 18 months to finally settle with the insurance company but the engineers report seemed to be what made our case.
The service was great. Although, the billing was messed up.
Everything seemed straight forward in the beginning, but went downhill quickly. Quote numbers were all over the place at every turn and getting the work done was like pulling teeth. We asked to have the old dish on the roof removed and taken away, but it ended up in the corner of the yard. We were told a date for the work to be done and those dates came and went 3 times. It ended up taking almost 7 weeks to get the work finished. The original quote included adding a downspout on the SW corner of the house but it wasn’t done. Emailed back and forth for a few weeks and it was finally completed…then we were charged again for it. Giant headache from start to finish. I regret sending my moms info to David because she had her roof done through you and she kept getting phone calls that “we haven’t been paid” when she had the check cashed through the bank weeks previously. She now has leaks coming in and staining her ceiling inside the house. When she contacted David she received a text that said “on my way” and hasn’t seen him yet…this was last Tuesday. Definitely will look at other options in the future should I need another replacement of my roof.
Did a good job working with insurance
Wonderful and patient group to work with! Truly the best! They walked with us every step of the way through our housing project.
The promises were made, and the promises failed.
Brandon gets things done.
My name is not Carl Olimb 2.
There were errors in the billing process and I was overbilled.
The crew showed too early in the morning, far earlier than had been agreed on. They woke up my kids and made for a terrible day.
The work was done quickly and the crew was very polite.
The salesman was very friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.
Very good. Doug was a pleasure to work with
Took a lot longer to get done than should have.
Good
River City Roofing did an amazing job.
We had our roof replaced at the end of 2022. We were told it would be a complete re sheet (all new plywood) and my husband was in our crawl space the other day and there were a couple sheets that were not replaced. After having some time after the holidays to look around in the attic we feel like they left quite a mess in our attic and on the patio and yard. They did do some clean up but we feel like they were not careful with keeping the things stored in our attic space protected.
Aurelio is awesome. The project was done faster than projected. It looked great and I am totally satisfied.
