It was a good experience, as you could expect after a hurricane. There was some time lag with paperwork, but it all was sorted out, and it was a good experience.

I understand that Janney is a large company with multiple jobs running at the same time, especially after the 2024 hurricane season. However, while the level of communication was very good before the work began, it decreased rapidly once the repairs began. See additional comments below.

Janney Roofing was very professional. They did not lie. They passed a test that I gave them that four other contractors failed. That test was on nailing patterns.
They were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. They went above and beyond several times.

My entire project was a complete communication breakdown. I had both my sales representative and project manager on completely opposite pages. Before I went into this project, I made it very clear to the sales representative that the roof was part of a larger construction project on the house, and that everything had to be on schedule. My project manager, outside the first day, basically stopped communicating. I needed to follow up with him on project status, and where thing were. He actually caused my construction to be a day delayed. After the roof was gone, he was supposed to remove the dumpster. I was guaranteed that the dumpster was going to be removed on that Sunday. He ultimately wasn't able to remove the dumpster for me, despite having Janney make that promise that it would be. A larger issue that I had was on the second or third day of constriction, around 5:00 I noticed that the work was getting done, and the team was packing up. The crew was left on my property for three hours. My project manager and sales person didn't have a good grasp of what was happening. What occurred was that the person who was picking up the crew, their ride, broke down. As a homeowner, these people are on my property, so I am liable for them. Janney didn't give me a courtesy call to ask me if it was okay for their crews to be there. What I am more surprised about it, Janney is a big reputable company, I would have expected them to tell their crews to go get Uber's, and they would pay them back for it as opposed to having them on my property for three hours. After the work was completed. I think my sales person did a great job advocating for me, but I don't think corporate really cared. They only gave me a $500 credit for all the inconvenience that I went through. Between the frustrations, the lack of communication, the nonchalantness of corporate, I wouldn't be inclined to recommend Janney Roofing.

You could be more careful of house surfaces when removing old roofing. Some contractors cover the ground and garage doors during demo.

Scheduled us for a 12/23-12/24 full roof replacement. We were very apprehensive as we were also having family in town for Christmas Eve. The crew was great and had all of the work done and cleaned up well ahead of schedule. The post install inspection by the county was done and I was told that the replacement was done very well. They even made a comment about how they they would expect to see some minor issues but they saw no problems.
Janney responded quickly after the hurricane to tarp my roof, then worked with my insurance company to replace my roof. My involvement in the details of the repair was fairly minimal, for which I was grateful. The employees I dealt with were responsive, efficient, and understanding. I was very pleased.
