Additional Comments - The sales person Alicia Shultz and construction manager Jason Long are the main reason we had our custom home built and we would go through them again.
Design - The salesperson was instrumental in the design of the project!
Likes & Dislikes - I like the design and how the construction manager and salesperson really paid attention to what I wanted!
Recognized Excellence - I would like to recognize Alicia Schultz & Jason Long for their exceptional service!
Areas Of Satisfaction - They met and exceeded my expectations with construction management and sales!
Additional Comments - It was a great experience working with the construction management and the salesperson.
Little to no oversight of subs caused numerous mistakes, poor workmanship and delays. Communication was very sparse and incomplete. Finish quality of flatwork, porches, interior paint, etc. was extremely poor. Footprints, stains etc. on porch entry are a joke we are stuck with.
Sales Attentiveness - Excellent, good communications, knows the process & listens, personable
Couldn’t ask for a better project manager than Andy Hanna. Always answered the phone when you called and always addressed any and all issues you might have.
I built 2 homes with Sierra and would give my highest recommendation. The company is solid financially, builds outstanding quality homes, are flexible and can build anything you might have in a design idea. Communication is excellent and they have the patience to listen and understand your needs and desires.
Likes & Dislikes - The feature I like most about my home is the wrap-around, covered porch. I like the cedar trim railing and holes.
Recognized Excellence - I'd like to recognize the salesman, William Rice. I'd also like to recognize Billy Burciaga and Corey Duhon.
Areas For Improvement - They didn't fall short of any of my expectations.
Areas Of Satisfaction - They met or exceeded my expectations with the expression of the final plan. It was good or better than I thought it would be.
Sierra was very pleasant and easy to work with. I built during Covid and even then we had very few delays.
Thank you to Sierra Classic for a positive experience in the building of our new home. Sierra's professionalism and communication is much appreciated. Building in normal times can be challenging. Sierra was able to navigate the issues of today and provide us with a high quality, fantastic home in a timely manner. Thank you!
Easier Than Expected - Patrick has been very attentive and helpful.
Additional Comments - I will and have recomended Sierra to others. Shane Robberson is an excellent Superintendent. 3rd party groups with Sierra have been good to work with (Design gallery, appliances, lighting). all very helpful for us as 1st time home builders..
Recommend with comments about working with a custom builder versus a production builder
Sierra Classic builds a very good home and unlike most other builders, they enable true custom homes. Only downside is that the build time has been much higher than expected.
Work has slowed down tremendously. Some of the work looks shotty (large drip pan under hot water heater in attic balancing on @ 1 inch beam. I was told it has a nail holding it to the small beam which concerns me for a slow leak.
Some of the holes up to roof were covered hap hazardly.)
DESIGN COORDINATOR ATTENTIVENESS - Elyse is wonderful and should be recognized for her organizational skills, attention to detail and overall positive and professional attitude! Every builder should be lucky enough to have someone like her!
Additional Comments - We appreciate Adam stepping up and assisting us with our house build under unusual circumstances. He has been the consummate professional and his honest, open communication is appreciated!
Too early to tell. It has taken a long time just to get where the house is today. Almost 4 months to get a foundation. Getting an inspector out to inspect the framework and then someone out to fix what was found took mostly July and August. Things are just now starting to pick up, but it has been close to 12 months since start of construction was given. I am sure the pandemic has not helped much, but I think the planning and execution could be better......
Sierra delivers on a high quality well executed home. So far they have exceeded my expectations for quality and they do the little things that will really make the house last. I thought I picked the best but now they are proving it!
Alisha is amazing to work with. Goes beyond to get the job done.
Alisha is our sales person and has been absolutely incredible! We’d recommend
Very professional company and they are patience to work with me from answering questions to scheduling meetings. Looking forward to complete my custom home.
When comparing our building process with others in the area, we seemed to have been giver fewer obstacles to navigate than many others.
Our interactions with Sierra Classic Custom Homes personnel have been very positive since we first walked into the Spicewood model and met Alicia. She was excellent to work with and answered our questions very quickly, which was greatly appreciated. Elyse is really excellent at what she does, and her talent and help with picking out all of our interior and exterior selections was incredible and made MaryLee so much more comfortable in making the huge number of selections, so we appreciate that alot. Mike is very knowledgeable and makes us confident that he is on top of the building process and will manage the project to assure the expected level of quality is obtained by all sub-contractors, and it seems that construction has been very efficient and quick since the time the foundation was completed. We also like getting the weekly construction updates, and we appreciate receiving the pictures of the progress that is being made. We are confident that we will be moving into a well-built and excellent home, and we cant wait! The only negative we have experienced was an occasional lapse of time getting responses to questions asked via Co-Construct, e-mails or voice messages earlier on in the construction process, but this hasn't been an issue anymore over the last couple months.
Design and sales have done great, project execution has not been a good experience.
Sales Knowledge - Patrick has been a real pleasure to work with.
Construction is extremely slow
First of all, the sales agent is not clear on how they structure their loans in regard to what is included and what is additional out of pocket cost. Below are the things, as a first time home building client, I did not understand were not included in my loan:
- rock removal
- fence for back yard
- iron fence for porches (front and back
Also, almost all of my allowances were under what was needed. I was told they made allowances “very generous”.
Additionally, they keep you in the dark about the construction process. You are on a need to know basis only. Any communication if probably going to have to be initiated on your end.
I will not recommend them based on their services and people, not their work product.
Alicia is incredible!!!
Too early to tell at this point. Haven't even received the final prints yet! Build project not even started.
Quality of build was very good. Communication was intermittent.
Everybody that I have worked with has been very helpful, patient and answered all of my questions.
We weren't going to complete this survey because we felt we had nothing positve to say. We did it because the phone calls and daily emails, made us think they really want to know our opinion.
Additional Comments - The staff at Sierra Classic is awesome. We really love working with Andy and all the ladies in the office, especially Ofelia and Joanie. We would not have made it without them.
The floor plan of our house is fabulous. We were really frustrated the inconsistent communication by the project managers and that the build took 7 months longer than what was in the contract.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the opportunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Sierra Classic Custom Homes as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
