Sales process was smooth and Bill was outstanding. Only drawbacks were related to crazy market and price increases.
Sales Attentiveness - Bill treated us like we were his only customer. Kept us in the loop, walked us through the details and was patient with our questions.
Concern For Needs - Bill collaborated with us throughout the process and listened to our needs.
Additional Comments - If you haven't gathered this already, Bill Rice is the reason why we went with Sierra. He has been a fantastic partner in this process from day one, which differentiated Sierra from other builders. Hopefully the remainder of the process without Bill goes as well. He's set the bar high!
The process of building a new home is not that easy. A lot of things to think about. And especially for someone doing it for the first time it's almost impossible to remember and think of everything. So I would recommend that the builder keeps the customer informed and make suggestions just in case something was skipped or observed that the customer may have forgotten something. Also there were weeks when no work was done on the house. That prolonged the process by a couple of months. Please see my other comments below.
There were quite a few things that they didn't do a good job on. There was a lot of inattention to detail and had to be redone.
We have been committed to Sierra to build our home for over 15 years. Over time, the other builders we considered went out of business or changed names (a red flag and more than once for a few). We had bumps in the road and would recommend that the homeowner inspect work almost DAILY.
Our experience with David Garcia in the beginning was fabulous! He was very patient with us and took extra time to explain the process to us. Unfortunately, he left. Mike Stopiak is very good but seems very busy with multiple homes. There was an inspection but we are unable to get details about their findings. I'm sure everything was addressed before progress proceeded but we would still like to know what the issues were. Their specified vendor, The Design Center, left a great deal to be desired. We couldn't get accurate pricing, we were always in the dark if we were over or under budget and then after a couple of months we learned that our selections were no longer available. It was very frustrating dealing with the Design Center. However, by contrast, the lighting company, Turney Lighting, was outstanding! We knew pricing the day of our selections! Afterwards, we received a booklet with pictures, pricing, and specifications for all of our selections. It was excellent dealing with Turney Lighting. The appliance center was OK. Sierra Homes failed to inform us that the appliance allowance did not include a refrigerator...
We ended up with three different project builders.

Areas Of Satisfaction - The responsiveness of the salesperson met my expectations.
In the general aspect, I am 85% satisfied. Crossing the T's and dotting the I's towards the end of the build definitely created 15% of dissatisfaction.
I am supervising my own project. Literally every issue identified has been brought up by me or my building inspector (who I had to hire because of issues with your company). When you do make mistakes, you try to “cheap” your way out of the issue. If you want more detail, you may call me at 713-410-5843.
Took longer than expected which then led to higher pricing - much more than anticipated.
I have already recommended Sierra Classic to one of the physicians in my office. Sierra builds a tight, quality product with amenities that elsewhere would be considered an upgrade. I can feel good about recommending them for a project.
Additional Comments - The staff at Sierra Classic is awesome. We really love working with Andy and all the ladies in the office, especially Ofelia and Joanie. We would not have made it without them.
Concern For Needs - She easily balanced the needs of 2 couples for a home with in-law suite.
Additional Comments - Alicia has been wonderful to work with (this is our third build so that is saying something!) She is approachable and professional. She has graciously managed our unique project, with multiple individuals, and balanced the details for all with incredible patience, creativity and efficiency.
Additional Comments - Erin has been amazing to work with through the process!
Sales Attentiveness - Nicky was very attentive and incorporated all our ideas while also helping stay within our size and budget parameters. She was also very hard working and responsive.

They did a good job overall, but very slow. Sometimes it didn't feel like a custom home building process.
Meeting with design center taking approximately one month to have an appointment. This delays starting the build of the home.

We are almost 1-year post completion and couldn't be happier with our new home. From start to finish it was overall a good experience. There were ups and downs, but Sierra's management team was quick to find solutions and help get us to the final product. We were first time "builders-from-scratch" and it was definitely a learning experience into everything it took to navigate site prep, foundation, and then finally getting to the build. We made a lot of changes along the way, but Sierra stepped up to the plate every time to incorporate our changes or come up with solutions to achieve what we were looking to accomplish. We were simply amazed with the finished product. Post build, their warranty group has exceeded our expectations in attentiveness, corrective action and providing some great suppliers. We created some lasting relationships with David, Patrick and John and i must admit we occasionally still stop by just to say hello. If we venture down this road again, they would be our builder of choice.

Areas Of Satisfaction - The quality of products used and workmanship. You really don't see this until you look at others who are building homes and see their product vs. Sierra. The ceiling detail was a very nice inclusive design. The warranty service has exceeded our expectations.
Additional Comments - When we started started interviewing builders, we quickly found out how difficult this business can be. We happened to see the model home and decided to stop. It was our last top looking for a builder. From the start they were transparent about pricing and expectations. Their building portal is also a huge added plus for keeping track of finances, changes and completions.
Recognized Excellence - Andy Hanna did an overal good job. Always there when ever I had questions.

We did not want to write this review; we waited two and half months, giving Sierra Classics time to make everything right. All started out great and we were excited about building our retirement home. We lived out of town, doing everything long distance, and depending on Sierra Classics to do a professional job.
Additional Comments - So far it has been positive.
Communication - Patrick has been great to work with, he keeps in touch with us regularly to be sure things are going well. Patrick is a great asset to Sierra Classics! John has a very calm, reassuring demeanor and is quick to address and respond to all our questions and concerns. We are happy with him as our build supervisor and feel like we are in good hands.
Problem Resolution - Problems along the way have been addressed quickly.
Communication - It is exciting to see the progress pictures that John posts. Being far away with limited travel due to the pandemic, we appreciate the pictures and always welcome more.
Areas Of Satisfaction - House looks great, seems to be built well. Selections are great.
Experience with Sierra Classic was a challenge. Once our home was completed we had problems with screens to our Family Room not install at all and one of the sliding door not working properly. It took almost 3 months to get screens in. We were not satisfied with Communication with the builders.
