We have moved to model home appointment scheduling and have suspended warranty in-home visits. We are practicing social distancing, and some staff is working from home.
the process of building my house has had no leadership continuity, leading to multiple errors. Then before the house was finished I was forced to close. there was garbage left in my house, holes in the walls, and overall poor craftsmanship. Now I am being treated like an inconvenience when I ask when these things will be repaired.
Our experience with Elliott has not been pleasant at all. From the beginning when we were told we could not build in Riverbend because lots were all sold and being pushed to Diamondhead. In Diamondhead we were sold a lot where our house we wanted and designed would not fit on the lot we chose even though we were assured it would. Only after I was told I would have to move to a lot that I didn't want I put my foot down. I did my research and found a lot was available in Riverbend and insisted that Elliott transfer us to Riverbend. Salesmen that do not know what they are selling, do not communicate, days to respond and in most cases no response at all. Field Managers are even worse.... tell you what you want to hear but don't do it, don't follow-up, quit.... we had 4 Field Managers (Dawn, Stephen, Joey, and now Dawn again). The house is beautiful on the surface but do NOT look too closely....shotty work, unfinished work, thin paint job, sloppy paint, paint on trim, paint on cabinets, paint on hardware, door knobs keep falling off, nails sticking out of door frames, nails sticking out of custom shelving, and Do NOT get me started on the SOD or lack of, worse grading on yard, sod placed on holes, sod placed on ruts caused from digging the hole for the septic that was installed just days before close, dips all in yard so we have standing water, sod placed on ruts from digging up sod to place gutters to the rain garden.....oh let's talk about the Rain Garden.....a nasty pool, a mud hole, retains water for 3 weeks....mosquitos! Snakes! Unsafe, unsanitary. The rocks washed away from rain garden; it is just a muddy slush at bottom. Trash piled up all behind the silt fence in the wetlands that we had to clean up...boxes, trash, paint cans, some kind of compound. Our mailbox was put too close to road, wasn't secured so has been hit multiple times, mailbox never would close so our mail could end up all in road. Culvert under driveway is washing away.... fixed several times and now we were told it is the county's problem!! Seriously!! Still have no drawer microwave.... y'all were so gracious to give us a tiny little loaner that was dirty!! Still no outdoor refrigerator.... oh, and didn't run a gas line to grill so you had to put some monstrosity gage line drilled in the back of our brick kitchen and the side of our house. I am preparing a detailed list of all the crap not done that was promised to be done by close or shortly after and a list of all the issues encountered but based off of the customer service we have received so far no one will respond, no one will care, no one will do anything. I would not EVER recommend an Elliott home! I dreamed of getting one of your homes and when we finally got one it has been a nightmare. And all of this cost us $514k....unreal!! Our doorbell isn't even wired, half our soffit lights won't turn off, ceiling fans outside doesn't work. The washer trips the GFI almost every wash load. There are so many things wrong that I could write a book. And all these issues so far have been communicated to Elliott but nothing done.
Elliott Homes advertises expert quality but is really becoming more like other home builders such as Adams Homes or D.R. Horton Homes
Tim is great and was always responsive and polite.
A beautiful line up of homes available from Elliott Homes. We built the Alton using the traditional elevation for the classic looking brick home. The floor plan layout is very well thought out with no unused space. The climate control system is very well centralized for efficient heating and cooling. The lots are huge and spacious. All of the home models are elegant and the upgrades are second to none.
There was some miscommunication about things with their builders. There would be beer bottles in my house.
Professional staff. Pay attention to the smallest details. I believe they call it the “Elliot Way”
I have already been recommending and I haven’t completely moved in yet.
The experience was oval all very pleasant. They tried to think of everything. And made an effort to stay on top of everything wow
I don't understand why they don't put a natural gas hookup in the laundry room.
I felt like they were in a rush to build the house, so when they built the house, there were a lot of issues.
I will recommend Elliott homes. Our experience had been smooth so far. Love the floor plan and Rod Barbee for his patience.
Elliott Homes is very helpful and pleasant to work with.
Elliott Homes was the best. I did everything remotely with my realtor and the sales representative. They are both terrific.
I love my home so that’s is why I would recommend a friend to Elliott Homes. I would recommend them with caveats though given some of the issues I experienced in the first year of my home.
Elliott Homes are so beautiful. I am still in shock that this is my home.
My home is beautiful, solidly built and comfortable.
The communication and entire process was not a good experience from the sales to the finished product.
As of 2/5/22 the process building our home has been full of delays and poor communication for months on home status. Initial estimates on closing date was scheduled for January and not even sure if March is possible at the moment. Signed contract with Elliot in 2021 April. Elliot seems more concerned about completing their new subdivisions and community projects than the individual homes already under contract.
We like the fact that all the house plans are drawn up and ready to pick from. Also all materials.
Mitzy was very professional. Highly Recommend Elliott Homes.Workmanship are Top Quality.
They have the best homes from what I've seen.
The homes are lovely. However, as I have just recently moved into the area, I do not know anyone except family, nor do I know people who would be moving to this area.
The house is beautiful and exactly what i want
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the opportunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Elliott Homes as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
