We have moved to model home appointment scheduling and have suspended warranty in-home visits. We are practicing social distancing, and some staff is working from home.
I had a guy come when we first moved in to put the fence, and the electrical outlet to put his nail gun in didn't work. They took care of the leak and water. Other than no power outside the plug in it was fine.
No, their customer care service is really really really bad. They do not respond to the issues at all.
I have a broken window that they will not repair.
Working with Elliott homes was a pleasure. Everything was well communicated and listened to. My new house is beautiful. Elliott made the whole process very easy.
Yes, outstanding Advisor, beautiful homes, great experience so for. We are just in the prebuilding stages.
Everyone I talked to that helped me though this process, was extremely nice and polite. It was just awesome.
I love the professionalism and the overall process of buying a new home with Elliott Homes.
From the initial query, Online Sales Consultant Elaine McCrimmon reached out to address our interest in Elliott Homes. We have already referred Elliott Homes to a dear friend.
Very impressed & will highly recomend!
The process has just begun but so far everyone has been very nice.
I would advise you to get an inspector, that way you know what is wrong prior to moving into your home.
They're working on it, and I am aware they are working on their customer service skills and the warranty process. They have been terrible since I owned my property. I am a realtor there is no way I would bring my clients around Elliot Homes until I see that they are doing much better. I don't recommend them.
I've tried to get in touch with Elliot Homes about issues that I have been having and no one has gotten back with me. Elliot Homes have also lied to me about things I've been promised.
Our experience started off great. It got bad after our project manager was changed three different times. There were issues we could see but i felt like were discouraged from bringing them up. We were told things like "its not your house yet, it's mine." and that we weren't supposed to see the house at construction stage. There were many issues that could have been resolved without further delay or undoing work that was already done to get to a previous problem. (missing trim, wrong arches, floor outlets not placed properly, wrong fixtures, etc)
Elliot Homes makes beautiful homes!
Expected closing date was not met, can be unfortunate for people.
The warranty department was atrocious .
I love my home. I would recommend an Elliott Home.
I would recommend Elliott Homes because they offer a quality product and I am very pleased with my new home. However, there was very little communication from Elliott after I signed my contract. Between my realtor and I, we had to follow up with Elliott Homes numerous times for updates and for documents needed for closing. I was very disappointed on the day of my closing because my lender informed me that Elliott did not send a document they had been requesting for two weeks until the day before my closing. As a result, I had to move my closing to later in the afternoon which was a major inconvenience for me. Overall, I love my new home but it appears that Elliott does not have enough staff to support all of the communities they are building right now. Due to the lack of communication and timeliness, I am unable to give the full five stars for this question.
I think Elliott Homes is a great company. They make the home building process very friendly and user friendly.
We had an amazing experience with Elliot Homes. Cameron was excellent. He did well with our walk through. We enjoyed the customer service provided. The only issue I have with the service I received was with the preferred lender we went through. Their service was spotty. We received 4 different time frames when we would be closing. We rescheduled a couple times which was frustrating. We are very happy with the experience with Elliot Homes. The preferred lender caused a lot of unneeded stress.
Poor quality construction and customer service.
My wife and I choose Elliot homes over other building contractors in the area because we felt that their quality was far above the other communities we had visited. However, are chief issue since closing on our house is that some of the defining features of our home, once which we felt made it stand out as a higher quality property, have deteriorated. For example: (1) Exterior property. The sod lawn died within a few months of us moving in, despite substantial lawn care efforts on our part. The shrubs and plants also died, to include the oak tree in the front yard. The exterior trim also was not fully sealed with silicon in many areas, has drooped, and over all feels rushed and sloppy. The incorrect paint was used on wood surfaces our side the house and will have to be repainted with exterior paint vice the interior paint/primer that was used. In addition, the privacy fence contracted by Elliot has already deteriorated and is now leaning. Upon inspection during the customer care visit, it was found that there were not enough evenly spaced posts to support the weight of the fence, nor were the posts fully anchored with concrete. The fence was also not up to code in that the bottom of the fence sat on the ground and was susceptible to water damage. We are currently working with the fence company to enact their warranty to fix these issues without any help from Elliot. (2) Interior Property. The trim and modeling in the house has quickly deteriorated as the house has settled. There are large gaps under door ways and around the cabinets, which will inevitably lead to water intrusion and mold. We also noticed that much of the paint had not fully dried when we moved in, and things we placed on shelves have pulled up and stripped the paint. We also found out at our customer care primary visit that the granite counter tops and all tile had not been sealed when they were initially installed. Since the visit was delayed multiple months, and it was not discussed at our closing, nor is it something we would have expected would be left undone, water marks and damage is now visible on said surfaces. (3) Community. Since moving into our home, we have been consistently displeased with the state of our community and road. We completely understand that construction sites for new homes will be busy and dirty, but the state of most build sites far exceeds that which is acceptable. Contractors leave trash, and construction materials all over the road. Their vehicles block the road, and they often drive faster then the posted speed limit. The community over all looks trashy and unappealing to new buyers. We feel there is no useful communication from the home owners society and it should be turned over to the residents as soon as possible. Overall, it feels like our house lacks the pristine quality which we choose Elliot homes for and it makes me doubt that the home or community will hold up over time. I would cautiously recommend them to a friend and advise that they ensure the quality of the home before closing.
Josh was very helpful in everything.
design or installation flaws that will not be corrected because they are on your "exempt" list???
