Smoke and Mirrors .. no follow up! Everything was great until after install. Energy usage was below prior year but still had significant local electric company costs $120-140/month compared to my other significantly larger home installed by Tesla where install at same or similar cost in different location and only paying $10-25/month. Had to email and make several calls to customer service to ask them to figure out why my electric bill was higher than prior year. I did historical research and sent it in. Took several calls and emails to get response. After 5-6 weeks -They said my usage was higher than prior year and that is why I had the higher electric bill. The graphs and data points showed it was very obvious that the usage was lower than previous year. I again sent several emails, phone calls and elevated to management. Local installer called and said all systems were performing properly and he would elevate to Petersendean management team. It has been a couple weeks now and still not received a call, my effort has been going on now for almost 3 months. Feel treated like dirt after install and they got their money. Good luck after install, your on your own! Customer Service after install is a joke!

The sales pitch given by James Petersen on TV is a total lie. The experience we had with Petersen Dean for a roofing project was most unprofessional and unacceptable. The installation crew was not able to communicate with the customer; were rude; were sloppy; and totally disrespectful to the customer and to our property. The staff was uncommunicative and unwilling to provide follow-up to identified problems, of which there were many. The staff lied about their inability to provide what was promised and only corrected the problems after being caught in the falsehoods.
I am extremely satisfied with my experience with PetersenDean.

The work took four weeks and it was supposed to take one week. They had different people come in and trying to They could not figure out what wire goes where. I had another house that I wanted to get done and they wanted to charge me $5,000 more which it did not make sense to me. I was putting in the same product but just in a different home. It was just 25 to 30 days after and they wanted to charge me more for the same product, I was shocked. They even had the same product in stalk.
I thought they didn't handle my situation as a business properly. I paid $12,000 out of an $18,000 job and nothing was done.
Overall we had a great experience.

My grandfather was a SeaBee in the 96th battalion in the Marshall Islands, that is why I choose PetersenDeal. He, as a tradesman would have been beat red over the problems I had for the price I paid. I had lower quotes, but chose the company I thought would do the best job. To me, quality was worth the extra amount. But I was wrong about what I believed to be true.
I thought they were very professional. They did exactly what they said they would do.

Got my first electric bill and it was $20.
Complete roof tear down and install took a total of 3 days which was fast. After the roof was installed, the communication was horrible, no communication about when my gutters would be installed. I had to call several times to get a response and twice I was told by 2 different people that they would call me right back and never did. I had to call my salesperson to get someone to call me back.
Only attentive during sales and installation. No returned calls to troubleshoot system once installed.

The two most effective folks we worked with on our project were Ambrish Batheja and Ana Robinson. Ambrish really went out of his way (and still does) to help us understand our new PG&E bills and the entire solar system and our energy savings. When otherwise necessary, we place calls to Ana Robinson. If she is available to answer our call, she has always been helpful. Unfortunately, when we have to leave a message, it takes longer for a response. There is a lot of information to digest once the solar project has been installed - would really appreciate some sort of simple "cheat sheet" on what to expect and how to understand the billing process rather that to simply be directed to various websites (ex. Solar Edge, NEM, etc)with lengthy multi page explanations that are difficult to comprehend. Also, disappointed that we signed on for this project in January but didn't have a completed project until the end of May. Certain employees assigned to our installation didn't get along and we even overheard swearing and profanity being exchanged between them while they were working on our roof!
I am very pleased with the product. We used it for one house and when we moved we used them again. We researched 5 other companies. We would recommend them to anyone.
