Jeff Benton homes appear to be very well constructed homes with quite a few added amenities that are not typically offered by other home builders. This builder seems to build homes as if they where intending to live in them with their own families. Very good attention to detail and quick response for any warranty related issues.

Benton built a nice home, completed it correctly and followed up on a very small punch list. Warranty items have been addressed unlike another large home builder in Huntsville.

I look at overall quality. The house seems fine but lanscaping and electrical are lacking. Poor quality landsacaping and electrical outlets that don't work or are placed in strange locations. Air conditioning units do not properly cool the house, up or down

I would most definitely recommend a Jeff Benton home. My husband and I are very please with the home and the team they have managing the development. We looked at several other builders and we are happy we choose this home.

Our experience has been horrific from the start. We are still trying to work through issues from our closing about 4 months ago that are not resolved as promised.

I would have given a higher rating but no action yet on fixing my kitchen cabinets. Some of the walls are not even close to being straight. Big disappointment. I have a down spout in the front of my home that is plugged up since day one. I have discussed these problems with Bill. As of yet nothing has been done.

There is a lot of assistance from JB Homes during the home buying process. They arrange walk throughs, inspections, closing, new home orientation and give the buyer information about setting up utilities. The team process works seamlessly to get the buyer into a new home. The warranty team is so valuable and answers questions in a timely manner. It really seems that the whole team wants buyers to be happy in their new homes.

We're pleased with our house. It is high quality and a very good value. As with any new house, inspect it at various stages of completion if possible.

Be cautious with details when you look at their homes. Stuff like flower beds and grading. I have to have my yard regraded. I did point this out to them, but they refused to regrade the yard. I have some concrete that is also already cracked.

There were warranty issues.

We had a great experience building with Jeff Benton homes. Cindy and Bryan were exceptional throughout the whole process. Highly recommend.

This is the second home purchased from Jeff Benton Home. My first one was in July 2017. It went very much smoothly than this one. With this home, I felt like priority was not given to provide an excellent product at closing. At the New Home Orientation (NHO), we (the builder representative, my realtor and my wife) identified several deficiencies and shortcomings that needed fixing prior to our New Home Celebration appointment, one week later. All of us were somewhat shocked to find so many deficiencies and shortcomings yet to be fixed and/or repaired, approximately 32-33 items. Some of theses issues were brought to the attention of the builder prior to the NHO appointment. Yet, the issues were not resolved.

At our Welcome Home Celebration (WHC) appointment, one week after the NHO appointment, eleven of those same deficiencies still existed on the home. Now, we are set to close on home one hour and 30 minutes later. Some of these issues include roll yard and apply sand in low areas, fan missing on rear porch, missing drawers in Master Suite closet, hall baths missing mirror and shower door, Jack and Jill bathroom missing mirror and shower door, missing exterior shutters, and missing stone from where builder attempted to install flashing to prevent water from running down the front right entrance bricks on the home. Even to this day, we are still missing two sets of exterior shutters, large window in garage broken and needs replacement, the lawn still have ruts in the yard from where contractors laid sod during extreme wetness, and still missing closet maid drawers in Master Suite. I truly did not anticipate that I would have these types of issues with Jeff Benton Homes, who are supposed to be a Goldstar builder in the Huntsville, AL area. This is a disappointment. Had I known that I would experience these issues, I would not have had Jeff Benton Homes to build me a new home.

Great quality, great customer service and great floor plan options!

Considering the pandemic and possible set backs due to lack of material, etc, JB Homes met my expectations and they completed my house on time with no issues.

Love our home

We like the home and we really enjoy the area.

The level of quality one gets from JB Homes is probably as good or a little better than their competition in the production housing market. My frustration was the lack of project management during the construction. Of all the issues which were pointed out during walk-thrus along the way, they didn't get addressed while things were progressing and had to be reworked when it wasn't convenient anymore. If I hadn't been on top of things daily, I believe things would have gotten covered up instead of being taken care of before things like insulation, sheetrock, cabinets, etc. were installed. Fortunately I had the time to stop by daily and check on progress and these items. Again, this was frustrating, but in the end it all came together.

Overall, I would not recommend this company based upon my experience up to now. It's been a nightmare since the day of closing. Prior to our closing, we had a final walk-through and a lot of the pre-closing (2 week) punch list items that was not completed. They had several issues that needed to be corrected. After closing and we obtained our keys, we came to our house with spilled paint on the garage floor, paint splatter on our woodwork, trim, carpet and floors. Mis-matched pant finish on the walls, trim and woodwork. Our kitchen island bar was not completed for the repairs with nail holes, poor trim and mis-matched paint. Our front door porch pilar was not installed correctly and had to be re-done. Broken windows sash, which been replaced at least twice, only to find out our entire window frame (3 bay) were installed incorrectly, now it needs to be removed and re-installed. Water drainage issues with the lawn and guttering down spouts. Tile issues in the master shower. HVAC issues now with thermostats problems and insufficient heating. A lot of these problems showed up, since we moved in. Granted the company has made repairs or corrections, but if the company had the time to properly complete this house and do a "quality check" to ensure a lot of these wouldn’t have showed up, I think our experience would have been better. Overall we felt that this house was rushed to completion, to get these lots off their current development of the area, so they can focus on developing their next group of homes elsewhere. In general if I knew that I would have been experiencing all of these problems up to now, I would have never bought a home such as this one from this company. I spoke with my neighbors, they didn’t have the issues like we have experienced. I would have been better off buying a good size lot and a new trailer than buying one of these homes. This is the feeling I am expressing. I really do not know if these issues will be fully resolved. I have wasted too much of my PTO to accommodate their repair teams to my home that I will never get back. So, NO… do not buy one of their homes.

Patrick the construction supervisor was very, very receptive and accessible during the building process. I would give Patrick a high rating.

The warranty repairs are not being completed in a timely manner. It would be difficult for me to recommend someone right now.
