Why Did You Choose Us? - I had spoken with about half a dozen roofing contractors before I met with Matt D'agostino of G.F. Sprague. It was clear in the first 5 minutes that Matt was far more knowledgeable and professional than anyone i had previously spoken with and it was also clear the Sprague was more capable, communicative and honorable than any of the other firms. I picked Sprague for my project even they were the highest bid i received. In retrospect, I have no doubt that i picked the only firm that was capable of completing my project.

Recognized Excellence - Matt D'Agostino is the best service representative i've ever worked with in my life. He's personable, honest, extremely hard working and just a great guy. Our project was a nightmare (no fault of Sprague) but Matt's empathy, level-headed decisions and excellent communication helped get us through it. I would also like to recognize Manny and his construction crew. This is a really hard working group of guys and I know firsthand that no job is too big for Manny. He is a very smart and capable guy.
Why Did You Choose Us? - After some research, we decided that G.F. Sprague was one of the highly-regarded and better-established contractors for this kind of work in our area. We expected to pay a premium for that, but a good roof is on the short list of must-haves. And having the contractor who installed your roof still be around if there is unexpected damage or other issue down the road is a plus.

Unreasonable high prices. Way too much “project management” oversight. Received requests for our feedback before the project started and during. Seems you have 3 divisions not speaking to each other. It took us 2+ requests to get a quote that did not include a total return-roof. Too strong a sell before answering what we asked. Very difficult to get itemized cost lists. You came highly recommended but we greatly regret not getting other quotes. When we needed info, you went missing, but somehow you were always available for upsell and feedback with which you did nothing. Your service was very efficient in billing even before job was done. The founder of your company should be ashamed. Cut two layers of project management, pay your installation workers a fair wage and stop resting on your laurels.

Quality Of Materials - In fact, they gave me a choice of grades, something that was much more common and what most people would select. They also had offers of restoration quality material. My house is not historic, but it was nice to know that if I was restoring a building and wanted to do it to specifications according to that period, they offered that as well. They were very beautiful materials. This is a five in terms of selection and quality.
Quality Of Workmanship - They were definitely craftsmen, not just tradesmen or laborers. They were obviously skilled.
Value - I received more than a fair value. I think the work part exceeded what I paid.
Areas For Improvement - I wouldn't say they fell short. I think my roof did. I didn't think I had such expensive damage. The work was greater than I anticipated - the quality of workmanship and the efficiency. They did a great job! It looks wonderful!
