While we love our addition, we were extremely frustrated by Case lack of procedures, sloppiness and inadequate oversight of contractors. The disonnected radiator on our second floor was not adequately disconnected and leaked into the ceiling and onto the new floor; pipes for the heating were incorrectly installed in the furnace; and, no insulation was put under the kitchen and in the crawl space so our pipes just froze. We have written Case a long long email with concerns.

I am very satisfied with the work that Case Design/Remodeling carried out to completely renovate the primary bathroom in my house. It was likely a modest job by Case's standards, but they undertook it with respect and enthusiasm. The estimates were on target, the contract was fair and the designer listened to my aspirations and created a design that incorporated all of my requests. She was collaborative and creative in selection of materials. The project manager paid close attention, visited the work site frequently to guide the employees and trades and met my request for frequent communication and no decisions taken without my input. I appreciated the team's patience while I made decisions and accommodation of some perhaps atypical features that ultimately were interesting and novel for the Case team. The result is a spa-like bathroom at a cost that will increase the value of my property and stand the test of time. In recommending Case to a friend, the one caveat I might mention is to allow for a long lead time. In other words, if a friend has an urgent job, Case may not be right for that friend's job.

Case bills itself as a high-end, "you write the check and we'll take care of everything else," service, and that wasn't our experience. The schedule was completely blown, and a number of problems have appeared in the first year.

The entire Case team inspired confidence from the start and was a pleasure to work with. Project Development Manager Mary Englert had great ideas for the complete renovation of the very small kitchen in our condo. She listened carefully to what we hoped to achieve, responded quickly to any questions we had from beginning to end, and brought a friendly and professional vibe to the project. Once construction got underway Project Manager Jorge Solano did a great job of keeping us informed about how everything was progressing. We appreciated his regular, detailed briefings and his candor. He was always accessible by phone, email, or text. He knew we cared about quality workmanship and getting the details right, and he always followed up to make sure we were satisfied.

I contracted Case Design later that year for a two-story addition that they added on to perfection. This past summer, I woke up to a massive flood on my first floor that destroyed everything on the first floor. Case Design immediately started helping and comforting me. Despite their very busy schedule, they constantly communicated with me about what to expect next and answered any questions I had. The process was seamless, and now my house is more beautiful than before. I consider Case Design Family.

Organized, clear communication and established timelines

We went with Case for their professionalism and reputation and we were pleased with the outcome. The project was completed on schedule and largely within budget.

Elena provided a lot of guidance about what to expect while she was designing the kitchen. My husband and I had already done a lot of research on materials, so we didn't have a lot more to decide on with regard to style. We needed advice on selecting a range hood and selecting an appliance vendor. Elena designed a beautiful kitchen and introduced us to a vendor that we hadn't considered. The appliance vendor was easy to work with. The install of the oven and the range hood didn't go as expected, however, the appliance vendor was prompt to respond to fix the issues. Mark did an excellent job managing the project overall and was incredibly responsive to all of our inquiries. I did ask a lot of questions. When it was discovered that the cabinet supplier sent a wrong size panel, CASE kept with the schedule to prevent delays with subcontracted work for counter tops and tiling. When other things happened beyond the control of CASE, Mark made good decisions. The results are fantastic! I have had a number of people in my house since the completion of the project. Everyone loves the kitchen. I have been providing recommendations both in person and online via NextDoor. Thank you Jose, Carlos, Boris, Graham, Fausto, Jefry, Dane Electric, Hooks Plumbing, Vallefuoco Tile, Classic Granite & Marble, A/V Painting, Shoenbauer Furniture, and A-Plus Enviroservices.

We had a great experience with Case on our project. We are super happy with the result and the quality of the workmanship. It really is beautiful. We were also very happy with our team. Neil, Colleen, and Elizabeth were amazing during the planning phase and really throughout the whole process. Our experience during the design and planning stage could not have gone smoother. I felt that all three truly listened to our desires and concerns and were creative in coming up with a design and solutions to issues. Both Stefan and Drew were wonderful to work with during construction. I took comfort in knowing that Drew was at our house nearly every day. He was always pleasant and just generally nice to have on site every day. More importantly, he patiently answered all of our questions and each day would prompt me for any questions I might have. Often, I would forget or not realize that I had questions, but once we started talking through the current state of the project, I did have questions that Drew would answer for me and in that way I felt in the loop and up to date.

I have already recommended Case to my friend and neighbor. However, my one concern is the lack of an itemized budget. I understand Case's mark-up on materials, which we were clearly informed about. But, it's difficult to determine where we could try to save on costs and where we could splurge without more transparency.

the quality of the work in detail did not meet the expectations given the cost

This is the third time that I've used Case, and my dissatisfaction rests almost entirely with the designer, Richard Rocco. Every conversation is like "Groundhog Day" -- he doesn't remember what we discussed, and he doesn't take notes, either. As a result, we have several important details that have "dropped out" of the project. Some of these I caught in the contract, others not. There are also several other things that I believe he found hard to do, and I think he simply dropped those out of the contract. Again, some I caught, others not. There is little or no follow up on questions, and he has devolved a lot of what he said is his role in the project on to me. I am frustrated beyond endurance with him. I called Case a couple of times early on in the project to see if I could get a project developer to work with, but I did not get a return phone call from Case.

The communication was extremely poor. I had to beg for updates and many decisions were made without running them by me. I never got any pro-active communication and many of the times I asked for updates went ignored.

Case covers all the bases. I did not have to search out general contractors or tradespeople to perform a task. It could have been less expensive up front to do that but, in the end, hiring Case solves so many hassles and time-wasters. They coordinated everything from design to completed installation. And, the products you get through them are superior, I believe, from what most general contractors offer. If it takes you 2-3 trips to Home Depot to get the right part, hire Case.

We were pleased with the process from start to finish. Everyone we worked with, from designers and project managers to the construction crews, was polite and professional and we felt the level of work and craftsmanship was excellent.

Dory, Kaitlyn, and Justin of Case were by far the best team we have ever worked with on any remodeling project. They were the epitome of professional in every respect. The program management of our remodeling was perfect and given some special circumstances of distance involved, they all went above and beyond.

I would recommend with the "caveat": (that we considered in selecting Case) that you are opting for A-to-Z planning and execution, but what you are not opting for is cost savings -- the contractor quotes were always at the high end of what we anticipated -- but, the work was done extremely well and on time, per comments below. [Long story short, I would say "don't expect a bargain, but you get what you pay for with Case."]

I would recommend Case. Truly amazing work and you don’t have to worry about anything. From start to finish, they handled everything including amazing design ideas. There ideas get you thinking about all the different possibilities out there. We ended up using a-lot of Elizabeth and John’s ideas for our new space. Highly recommend.

Every person I worked with at Case was a true professional. They were also friendly and always responsive . I trust their work completely. This was my first major project on my home. Case made everything smooth and easy. The work was great as was the experience. Our neighbors have asked for Case’s contact information after seeing their work.
