When we bought our home in late 2018, we had about 12 different contract craftsmen and teams in the first three months to update everything from electrical to masonry to plumbing and heating. Of all of them, Tech Painting was the worst customer experience we had. They worked in January 2019 and even today, I continue to find small details about their work that let me down (drip marks in places I didn't notice at first, failure to sand old painted surfaces smooth, failure to even plaster some areas smooth before painting) -- and that's after having to have them return to the house three times just to deliver on what was contractually promised. I may not mind so much if the company charged us what a traditional carpenter contractor's team would to paint the interior of our home. But we paid for the so-called experts to ensure a lead-safe environment, and paid a hefty premium for our continual disappointment. I eventually gave up trying to get them to fix everything because the repeated return visits were holding up other work by other contractors that needed to be completed before we moved in. The psychological stress of dealing with them was too great. I just gave up. Whenever someone asks me for a recommendation on painters, I steer them clear of Tech Painting. Luckily we found another company that was much better for our future projects.
I have know this company for over 25 yrs and have always recommended them.
The very best.
They do good work.
I appreciated Tech Painting's extremely prompt and great customer service. I would recommend them to anyone.
The final result was not what was discussed or desired. They were resistant to changing what we wanted done.
We have used Tech painting several times. We have secured other bids almost every time and we find them price competitive for a higher end painter. Their professionalism is first rate, from the estimator to the office to the workers. We have admiration, not complaints. Would definitely recommend these guys.
On time, on budget, with exceptional attention to detail and care for the condition of our home.
I was totally pleased and overwhelmed by the quality of the crew and work done over 30 days!
Paint job looks great. There were some communication issues between the person giving the estimate and the workers that I had step in. Also, one of our two garden hoses went missing after the job ended.
Tech Painting's team was exceptional. They made everything very easy, and handled all aspects very professinally. Plus, they completed on time, and the job was beautiful
I absolutely would recommend Tech Painting Company to friends and family. Outstanding workmanship.
All techinicians and representatives were professional, quick to respond and most importantly, the quality of the work was excellent.
They're a great company. They've done a lot of painting for me, residential and commercial. I'd rate them an A. I mean, they're a great company. I wouldn't use them again if they weren't.
I would say overall they were very good. The guys that came out to do the painting were very diligent, and they just did a good job. They did the exterior painting, and I have sort of a challenging town home. It's four stories so they had to go pretty far up. Everything looked good. The only surprise, quite frankly, the only comment I would make is they hammered 2X4's into my roof because of the steepness, and I wasn't aware that's what they were going to do and of course, that's not necessarily something that should have been done for a roof without having it properly fixed afterward, caulking the holes and that sort of thing. So, I did just have to talk to them and while they said it was industry standard that boards be hammered into the roof like that, it isn't, according to roofers. They did however caulk the whole underneath the asphalt roof as I requested so I'm happy with that. I'm going to go with a B+.
Everything seems to be fine. They seemed to have done a pretty good job. It was just painting the iron railing, iron porch. It'd be an A.
I was having some exterior painting done.
They did great. They did a very nice job. I would grade them an A. They painted trim.
They painted the exterior of our house. They completed it when they said they would, and their price seemed to be fairly reasonable. I would give them an A.
They were very efficient and did a very nice job. They did outside house painting. It's an A.
It was excellent, absolutely excellent. They're just meticulous. They're detailed, and their team really works well together. It was both interior and exterior painting. I'm an interior designer so I use them for a lot of my clients. The last time it was the whole home inside. I'd give them an A.
They were just, I guess, efficient. It's been awhile, but I just remember being pleased with it. It was exterior painting, residential. I think I'd give them an A-. I can't really remember about punctuality, but I feel like if there was any issue that's where the A- might come from.
They came when they said they were going to. They did a bid. They went over the bid, but I thought the quality of the work was OK and it wasn't that much over. So, the point is, good work and good communication. I’d give them a B. They did interior.
They were careful, professional, on time, and so on—they cleaned up. It was residential exterior painting, and I'd give them an A-. The issue wasn't with the quality of the painting, but if any issue, it was with replacing rotted wood. They were good painters, but there were some minor issues with wood that probably should have been replaced that was painted instead. I think they weren't as good at identifying rotted wood, because they're painters and not contractors generally. But they did a beautiful job painting.
