I like the house and the build. Their warranty practices are terrible. They deny a lot of claims. I had a water leak in less than a year, and they did not want to certify my home for having a water leak. They did not connect the condensation line and that was not my problem. The fact that they are not repairing, is a killer. Some people are first time homebuyers and they are buying a home with a safety net, but the net has a hole in it. The Two Tens warranty is a killer for me.
The buying process was easy. Touch up work was done upon request. Everything was easy. They have great workmanship.
I appreciated David taking me on a tour of the community and taking his time to show me all the different options within my price range. He made sure to inquire about my price range at the beginning as to limit the possibility that I would see something that would not fit into my budget.
I would have given 5 stars but I am a little dissatisfied with the finishing touches of my home. For instance, the mirror in my half bath had to be replaced because it was scratched. When it was installed, there were obvious scuffs around the mirror because the paint is white. The floor was not swept and other miscellaneous items were off-putting but I'll address them at my 45 day walkthrough.
While the overall home is great, there are minor cosmetic issues that show a rushed job and poor workmanship. For example, the front door needs to pushed in really hard for it to close completely. With a gentle push, the door latch does not catch. Same issue with one of the upstairs bedroom door.
The yard is smaller than I expected.
Based on my experience with one of your reps, Leslie Gaines I felt was very unprofessional and did NOT live up to what was agreed to in our contract. I also reached out to her superior and was never Contacted in return!!!...
Rocklyn Homes provides good value, quality, consistency, customer service, and follow up.
The process of purchasing my home went very smoothly. They were very helpful.
Who ever built the home did shoddy work.The paint job was terrible quality.Things that were missed on the first walk through were missed on the second walk through. There was also weeds in my backyard upon move in.
Rocklyn takes time and puts pride into building a quality home. They are very attentive to the buying process. When there was anything that I requested they responded quickly. I am extremely impressed.
The construction manager was professional and did everything to address any punch list and repairs prior to closing. He came back afterward to follow up with things, which I find to be rare.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful and I recommend Rocklyn Homes to a friend.

I enjoyed the process with Rocklyn Homes. The closing is what I did not like it. The things that were supposed to be done at my walk through were not done after closing.
The transition was smooth. The lady at the office was very informative and gave great information on the questions that were asked.
While I love my first home you can tell a lot of things were rushed which are starting to show up right now.
