Their communication is a problem, and items that were on our walkthrough weren't completed in a timely manner.
The majority of our experience with regent has been very good. However, all of our dealings with Todd Haysmer have been extremely poor. We would buy with regent again in a neighborhood in which Todd Haysmer is not involved. If he was involved in any manner, it would be an absolute no for us.
the worst home builder i've ever dealt with among the 3 homes i've purchased in my life
My purchase was reasonably straightforward and free of complications.
We absolutely love the home. Alex our builder is amazing.
They never over promised and delivered a beautiful home before their deadline.
Overall very good quality product. Opportunities to clean up communications to buyers.
They were helpful throughout the entire process.
Poor quality of materials and work. Drywall cracks that are beyond regular settling of house, poorly done drywall (so many uneven walls, corners of walls round, etc), poor gutter install, many crooked cabinets, poor design of water heater placement and laundry room outlets/vents/water lines. Ceiling in multiple rooms has needed repair within a month of moving in. Ceiling also doesn’t appear to have been painted anywhere in house. Multiple painters have said it is just a coat of primer. Tile floors in bathrooms are uneven. Cracks in drywall concrete. Poor yard work (was told someone would aerate within two weeks of close, it’s been over a month) and poor drainage. Tons of sitting water.
Great experience with John G. He followed up on everything.
Excellent, Floorplan a Townhome- LOTS of storage...good utilization of space. Very well appointed with 'standard' finish selections.
The Project Manager/Superintendent was excellent.
I have owned at this point 3 Regent built homes. They get better & offer more in each new development they build.
I am happy with my home. The process to get here, the customer service, and the attention to detail were not good. Communication was not what it needed to be. Several things are still pending, and I am waiting for them to be resolved.
It was a great experience Everything was handled professionally. I am pleased.
The overall home quality leaves many doubts about care and concern over build quality, and seems to be that speed was prioritized over quality.
The neighborhood is awesome, quiet, and clean. I feel so comfortable and safe living here.
I am very pleased with everything! I like the attractive, well-kept Carothers Farms community, the low HOA fees, the quality of home construction, and your attentive employees!
Some of the finishes left things to be desired. The bottom of the doors weren't sanded, and the paint they used comes off as soon as you wash the wall. Some of the things were done cheaply for what we paid.
I am a second time Home Buyer with Regent Homes LLC and I purchased with Regent Homes LLC again as my Previous Experience was positive and I lived in my previous home for 13 years and experienced very few issues from the building process all the way to my closing date. I felt comfortable doing so again. My experience with my new home in Autumn View would not entice me to encourage others without fair warning. Nor would I purchase a Regent Home again at this point in my one month of ownership.
I feel other builders offer higher quality products. The paint and stain in our home was terribly done and throughout the building process the site was a mess. Trash everywhere. Lots of issues when we moved and still things undone.
Our builder Paul was outstanding. His attention to detail and willingness to work with us in several things that came up.
I would explore all other options before buying from Regent Homes LLC.
The builder was great, however the HOA company they utilize is not great.
Regent Homes were very helpful finding the right home, and have been accommodating for any issues that have risen.
I love the location and the people in this community. I feel ssfe here.
I feel safe here.
Joey was fantastic. I had a pregnant wife and three small kids. He was patient and fantastic. He was informative and kept us updated and answered all our questions. I do not think the process could have gone better.
My home was not finished when I moved in almost a month ago. Even though it’s well built, I had no hot water for 10 days. I had no air for the first 3 days. Building codes didn’t approve the home till two weeks after I moved in. I still don’t have gutter splash pans. It’s difficult to reach anyone about these problems.
Two major items that drive this score.
1: the quality of build is very average
2: lack of responsiveness to addressing warranty issues.
Regent Homes LLC is of good value and quality. They provide good service.
Wonderful community and its still growing.
I was pleased with the entire process.
I enjoyed my experience. My project manager was very informative throughout the process.
Overall I’d give it 3.5 stars. Great looking house, nice and tidy neighborhood. Some things still left unresolved from time of closing in terms of fixes but they’re minor enough to pass. Inconvenient but doable communication between customer to company. Quality of house is also 4/5 it looks great but nail pops on ceiling within a week have me worried if quality was good during build as the builder warranty is vague and very minimal 30-90 days for most things.
The Regent team was easy to work with, communicated well each step of the way, and handled any concerns that came up.
I truly enjoy the Architectural Design and style of 2023 Townhome. However the building materials and process was average, or below quality and the workmanship below average for the price paid. And I reference an actual price point, slightly above $600, 000.
Great service and follow up
I am very unhappy with the build quality of the home.
The process was smooth and the builder helped us get accustomed to the new home.
My main issue is the painting on the interior of the home was sloppily done. It may have just been the type of paint they used though.
Paul and JD were excellent to work with throughout the entire process. They were very accommodating, always available for questions and got back to us quickly.
Regent Homes was fantastic to work with throughout the process. We were able to communicate with members of the Regent team to get updates and ask questions. They were very responsive to our concerns. Everything was addressed to our satisfaction. The home's quality speaks for itself.
Quality of finish and other constructipn details are not good as it should be for an expensive new construction.
We are very pleased!
From the day of us visiting the Blakeney for the first time and meeting JD, through the excitement of watching the house come alive every weekend, then closing the escrow, to this very past weekend seeing JD in the office to say my "Thank you".. I just have to give many thanks to everyone involved. Loved it. Love the location of the Blakeney. Happen to have a couple that we know live here as well. We are now trying to have another couple move here!
As far as buying a home goes, this was a sour experience. Between lack of communication, missed deadlines, and overall build quality I felt pretty robbed of any human element. It’s business, I understand that. But 600k isn’t easy money and shouldn’t make a home less valued by the builder.
This is a nice home but there is still several items that still need to be completed. 1.) Fix cabinet section around the dish washer. 2.) House started leaking tonight and called the roofing company phone io the list that was left behind and this number does not work 256-497-7282. 3.) Install and paint front door. 4) Replace the scratched side lights at the front door. 5.) Add upper cabinets in the utility room per contract. 5.) Install Vanity cabinet in the 1/2 bath. 6.) Install privacy fence and front fence once approved by ARB. 7.) Sod inside yard will need work once the weather cleans ups, they have put in French drain, and it works some but not enough with the house next to us not having gutters for rain run off.
No attention to details in the finish work of my house. I am embarrassed to show my house to friends.
It was an easy experience for us.
1. They forgot one of our upgrade options and didn’t tell us until the day of our walk through. 2. They tried to quickly breeze over our walk through so they didn’t have to fix anything. 3. The project manager left early from our blue taping because he “had somewhere to be” so he didn’t mark down all of our issues. 4. We moved in and we’ve been finding blue tape that was never addressed every day. 5. Many many many more reasons.
They rushed. Project manager told us everything we thought wasn’t done ignored and we were told “we don’t have to buy the house if yiu don’t like it” when it was minor complaints about the poor ceiling moldings and trim that we paid extra for. Our siding on the side of the house we were told would be fixed after closing and it is still not done amongst other complaints we have.
