We have had several other home projects and contractors in the past, including similarly large projects. Things will always go wrong or awry- late or broken product deliveries, schedule mishaps, unforeseen building complications. At no time did we fear our job would not be completed to our 100% satisfaction. Repeated questions around our satisfaction and the clear intention of Red House to 'get it right' were constantly present. When a previously agreed upon solution did not work out, Red House revamped the plans to a clearly more extensive proposal at their own expense to complete the project harmoniously. Red House was creative, reassuring, and showed complete integrity.

Clean - Red House left the job site - inside and outside - extremely clean on a daily basis. It's admirable! One could feel the pride that went into their work and this included the daily end-of-day cleanup.
Communication - I found that the communication with the entire exceptional! Red House makes it quite easy for the client to communicate with the team assigned to your project by either sending messages via BuilderTrend, emailing directly (which also ends up in BT), texting or calling. All options were acceptable! Although they held weekly onsite meetings with me, if I had a question from either something I saw onsite or read in the BuilderTrend app/Daily Log the Construction Lead would post, I would have an answer either the same day or the next day depending on when I sent the question. (I would often review the Daily Log submissions in the evenings after my work day.) The onsite team was also very approachable, and open, kind and professional to answering questions that I might have while I was onsite -even if it wasn't at the weekly meeting!
Schedule - The timeline discussed was not only met, the team finished several days before. They even encountered a few rain delays at the beginning of the project due to Spring rains. This is quite the accomplishment when one considers the logistics of timing ALL project efforts accordingly so their are no delays due to supplies, permits, inspections, etc.!
Areas For Improvement - In my line of work in dealing with many contractors and consultants for R&D and IT projects for about 30 years now, it's rare that I find a company like Red House that I'm happy to report did not fall short on any aspect of the project! I was ecstatically happy with their entire process and their project management!
Areas Of Satisfaction - Red House exceeded my expectations in all areas. They were exceedingly EXCEPTIONAL with communication throughout the project. This is important to me because just because they are great designers/builders doesn't necessarily mean they can effectively and efficiently communicate with a client.
Additional Comments - I'd like to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Red House team that worked with me: Justin, Tim, Connor, Benno, Kevin, Matt, Antonio, Leo, Kathy, Phyllis, Patrick....as well as all their awesome vendors from the painters (Steve and Orlando), Electrician (Ray and brother?/son?), plasterers, HVAC, and finally the cleaners. It was such a pleasure working with ALL of you!!
For people like us, who needed help with the entire project, Red House was a God send.
Designer Knowledge - I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kathy and Sara. I believe they took the time to "get me" and worked diligently to only bring forth designs that we would be comfortable with.
Selections - The selections process was easy and not at all time consuming and that was no small feat considering we were working during Covid restrictions.
Budget Pre-Con - Our budget was very much a concern and I am pleased that we have been able to work within the budget we have planned.
Additional Comments - Our physical project is just beginning. The design and planning process has been exceptional and I am hopeful that the entire project will end that way as well.
I could not be happier with the work that Red House Design Build did for me. My house looks beautiful, the crew that worked on it was professional and clearly conscious of the fact that they were in my home for weeks. I was nervous about the cost, but in the end it was worth every single penny.
Clean - Every day, they swept up and cleaned up as much as they possibly could. For a construction site, my home didn’t feel like a complete disaster all the time.
Communication - Everyone was wonderful about texting me updates and scheduling changes and emailing me with information about the project. I never felt like I was out of the loop at all.
Schedule - They were great about the schedule. In fact, they finished earlier than expected.

Red House provided a beautiful design and our team was patient as we went through the selections process. Our project manager, Kevin, was particularly excellent with attention to detail and a hands-on approach to managing all sub-contractors and vendors.

Designer Knowledge - Kathy was a pleasure to work with. She was very patient when I was unsure of my choices. She is extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and skilled.
Moving forward with Red House was the best decision that we made with a major renovation! From the initial phone call to learn more about the scope of the project, we felt at ease with their experience, professionalism and attention to detail. Living under construction in the heart of winter with 1/2 the roof exposed and countless sun contractors in/around the site for 3 months was daunting, but our site supervisor, Kevin Manning coordinated the perfect flow of personnel on site, each one respecting that a family is living through these conditions and to treat the family as such.
The craftsmanship of the work is impressive and will be admired for all to see and confidently refer them to Redhouse for their own projects.
Clean - We greatly appreciated the care and respect taken to clean the areas that were worked on throughout the construction process. Inside and out of the home. From sweeping up behind them to painting over marks on the walls, trim and ceiling at the end showed how much Redhouse cared about not just the project itself, but the rest of the house that is in its pathway during construction.
Communication - From our site supervisor Kevin calling/texting with us throughout the project to make sure that we were aware of anything ranging from: arrival times of contractors, design updates, timelines and general question, he was supportive and very responsive. Our weekly team meetings at the house were structured and professional as we took one step at a time to have our question/concerns acknowledged and action steps to be taken.
Schedule - The schedule was communicated very efficiently through an app or in person so that we were well informed of the process and stages of design and construction. They completed exactly on time as it was proposed.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The professionalism of each member of the team AND the subs that were contracted. They were all very respectful, well mannered and knowledgeable.
Additional Comments - We look forward to our next project in a year or two that has already been designed!

Red House were patient and professional, probably the two most important qualities that helped us all survive the pandemic. Most impressed with their attention to detail and concern for our ultimate satisfaction.
Designer Knowledge - Lindell and Kathy were delightful to work with. They came up with great ideas and thoughtful comments on our ideas.
In our experience, Red House has been the best contractor to work with out of the three we have used so far. Their level of organization and professionalism is unmatched. Minimal stress compared to the other two major projects we have done. It's all thanks to the various departments that specialize in various aspect of the project (design team, project managers, etc.) that ensure the job is planned and executed accordingly. Very satisfied and would not hesitate to recommend!
Additional Comments - RedHouse provided top tier support to my family as we explore a "full house"/first floor renovation. Justin, Sara and team not only heard and understood our needs as described but also interpreted our vision to come up with solutions that we never could have envisioned ourselves. During the design stage, multiple options were presented at various price points. Additionally, when my husband and I needed to pivot, Red House was understanding and did not show frustration or judgement. They were even patient when we needed to bring our baby to design meetings! I would recommend them above all else to anyone taking on a high end renovation.

RedHouse undertook a very difficult demolition and replacement project that we had our doubts that anyone could have pulled off and did so with great aplomb and mastery. The end result is really something we are proud to own.

The design process was actually fun, and Marianne and Kathy were very experienced and knowledgeable - we really trusted their opinion. We are so happy with the design of the house. As we live in it longer, everything is in the exactly right place and looks beautiful. Jason was a pleasure to work with despite the communication challenges-just a really nice guy. Justin gave clear and excellent advice each time we asked for his opinion, such as the cabinets and floors.

The team at Red House worked so closely together and with us in an efficient and timely manner that there was never any stress or wonder about when something was going to get done. Additional Comments - We had delayed our kitchen and great room renovation for almost 5 years, afraid of the stress and inconvenience a project of that size would entail. We finally decided to go for it after interviewing Red House. We loved their approach in terms of breaking down the project into phases and their team approach of having the designer, architect, and general contractor all working side by side to bring our vision to life. We were included in every decision and were also supported in narrowing our decisions to 3 before we reached decision overload ( one of my biggest fears!) Their communication was impeccable, quick to respond to an e-mail or address a concern on site. They also made sure we were 100% happy, taking the time to walk through the house with us and address any questions/ concerns, before saying goodbye. Red House made a major home renovation (during a pandemic!) virtually stress free. We are beyond thrilled with the transformation of our home and are very thankful for the time and commitment that the Red House team dedicated to our family.
