We had a good experience with Boston Solar - fantastic team and happy overall with the installation process. Few points for feedback: 1) Location of the meter install was limited for our home but we only knew that we really have only one option on the day of installation. Wish this consultation can be done ahead of installation day. 2) SMART rebate block incentive price changed after signing the contract. Although it is not in Boston Solar's hands, a conservative prediction/estimate would have been better before signing the contract (as opposed to the current block). We worked with Mark Milton, Mali Cooper, Scott Webster, and Tom Sheridan. They all were very professional and a delight to work with! Thank you!

Boston Solar was very generous in paying for the roof under our panels and we genuinely appreciate that. Despite the pandemic, their work went on and they strived forward to our schedule. They adhered to safety protocol when interacting with us on-site.

Overall, very pleased with Boston Solar. Salesman was great and knowledgeable. Answered questions immediately. Installation crews were great. Project coordinators kept in touch and arranged everything. Would have rated five stars except there were gaps in communication between different steps. First project coordinator left company and was weeks before I heard from replacement. Other gaps between install finish and project finish. To be fair, Covid-19 likely part of problem but a call informing me of delays would have been appreciated.

Below average account management through out the post purchase/installation process. We ran into some issues (inspector rejected Boston Solar's electrical panel modification) The communication from BS team was poor throughout the process. All of the onsite personnel were great (installers, electricians, project managers) Had to follow up on when do I pay, when are people coming to my house, my refer a friend was a mess - had to follow up 5 times and they still haven't been paid. Also they forgot to install the critter guard we had pre-paid for. I had to ask
Initial contacts with Boston Solar were excellent. However, after the contract was signed, communication from Boston Solar was less than desirable, punctuated by several delays in the process that we feel were entirely avoidable.
They were excellent and incredibly responsive to questions that I had, even after the job was done! The installers were beyond professional. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Boston Solar is an outstanding business partner. I was wary of solar companies in general and did substantial research before selecting Boston Solar. I started by selecting only 5 star rated companies. Then I reviewed their history, installations in my area, infrastructure needed to support a (surprisingly) complex solar installation (some solar companies have less than 10 employees and sub out all the work. I was not comfortable with that), the quality of the product being installed, and the overall price/value. I narrowed the search to 3 companies. One companies promised me a big discount at the beginning of November, but never called me back. A second company wanted to put panels on a different roof \surface than I wanted. This left Boston Solar as the winner. Boston Solar was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process including working with me on a National Grid issue in which they were requiring a new transformer to be installed and I was responsible for the cost. Please see the salesperson section below for more details. The communication was constant, clear, and professional. The installation was excellent and I am now saving money on electricity. If I could give Boston Solar a 6 star rating, I would.
I had a great experience with Boston Solar. Their sales person (Mark) was very knowledgeable and was NOT high pressure whatsoever. He laid out the proposal and went over the numbers thoroughly. Our Project coordinator (Mali) was super organized and kept us informed throughout the process. The install team was also great, and cleaned up after themselves daily. If your getting quotes from solar companies, I would definitely give Boston Solar a call.

They are a very Professional organization.Everyone from the electricians to the Project coordinator knew their job and were courteous in their dealings with me.Job completion was timely and the only expectation from me was timely payment of their invoice.
The delays in installation were a major issue. I know that some of the delays were from Covid-19, which are understandable, but some of the delays were not.
Boston Solar is very good to work with. They kept true to everything they told me in the initial meeting. I didn't feel pressured to purchase. The installers were all good people, but the #1 person was the girl in the office, Mali. She put up with me during this not so easy project. My project was delayed and she listened to all my complaints and conversations. She represented them very well.
