We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.
So easy to work with and guided us through the entire process
Boston Solar was very professional and communicated throughout the entire process. During each transition between teams (sales to installation to post installation) the process was seamless. I would highly recommend Boston Solar to anyone that is looking to invest into solar.
i can not recommend Boston solar based on my poor experience with its deficient project coordination, slow communication and its inability to maintain promised project schedule.
Very little hassle in getting this installed. Very friendly employees! Great service.
They were great, flexible and good to work with.
Boston Solar has been an amazing company to work with. From the sales process through commissioning the system, they have communicated in a clear and timely manner. During my installation process my project manager left the company, and they didn't miss a beat transitioning my project to another manager. The install itself was done in a day, work crews were friendly, professional, and very willing to work with us on how to integrate the install with our house.
The whole process from start to finish was well organized. I did not have to do anything myself. The team is professional and kept me updated. I would highly recommend Boston Solar
Very good communication and they made all aspects very easy to understand.
I am very pleased with the product that Boston Solar delivered, as well as with their sales process
We have been interested in Solar for several years. The financial incentives have never been greater so we decided to take the plunge. As a selection strategy we spoke with neighbors and friends who have installed systems them selves. They were all positive about their experience, including the 2 - 3 families who chose Boston Solar. No one had anything good to say about them. A big decision any prospect has to make is the lease or buy option. If you lease there is no upfront costs and you pay a guaranteed fraction of the cost of your existing electric bill. In one instance, this was about $175/mo. for a 3 BR home with oil heat. I estimate This is about 2/3 of their normal bill. The catch is, you qualify for none of the financial advantage, because all this goes to the system owner. You'll come out ahead of the game if you buy the system outright, even if you need financial help sin the form of a small home equity loan. So the first advantage is that Boston Solar will not pressure you one way or the other. A very large out of state competitor will apply pressure for their lease plan. As for Boston Solar their execution couldn't have better. Their proposal was very thorough, but if you're like us, it will need your time and focus. Their sales guy was very answer phone calls and emails, easing the process along without high pressure. We waited a little longer to pull the trigger and so got caught in the 'end-of-season' rush and experienced a bit of delay. We also had a bit of winter weather but Boston solar was still the time frame of their time estimate. We started on Oct. 11 and went on the grid on presidents day 2/12. Pretty good considering the holidays, plus a 1 week delay we asked for accommodate a 1 week family travel week. I'm now monitoring an app that monitors and displays system performance 24/7. We can also observe the performance foe each of the 40 PV panels. As a retired electrical engineer I find it fascinating to follow the progress of solar contribution to our system consumption as the season progresses. Boston Solar provides a plot of output vs consumption, based on actual usage as shown on our latest Eversource. After only 21/2 weeks of operation the actual performance appears to conform to the as-predicted, a very encouraging outcome. We wish you luck in your endeavor.
I thought the electricians who worked on my project were knowlegable and professional. I also particularly like Boston Solar's strong project management. They kept the whole project organized, including roofing work.
The entire process with Boston Solar was great. My sales representative walked me through the whole process, the available panels, layout options, and financing options. After I signed up, the engineering team worked with me seamlessly to acquire all the permits and install the panels. My system is now up and running, and my house is powered by the sun! I'm very pleased with choosing Boston Solar.
Great service every step of the way. They were great at explaining all my options and the pros/cons to each. I felt well informed and never pressured (unlike my experience with other providers).
I really like the sales guy and the coordination person, Mali. I would like to give both of them coo does. They were really nice, and professional.
Boston Solar is very efficient and productive. They did what they said they would do.
Boston Solar has been forthcoming with information when we were looking for a provider. Boston Solar has been very supportive as we were getting on board with them. They are still supportive now.
The product was mostly finished, but the timeline was from August and is still ongoing as the snow brackets are not on yet. So 7 months and counting? My neighbors had everything finished in 1 weekend.
Boston Solar was extremely helpful in helping me understand what to expect and get through it. All the people I worked with were pleasant, respectful, professional, and helpful I am very excited to have their solar panels on my roof and I highly recommend them to anyone!
Outstanding company from the presentation to energized system. Very helpful staff that quickly answer any questions and solve any issues. Highly recommend!
The service I received was deplorable. I can't ever recommend a company that treats their customers this badly.
We had a mixed experience with Boston Solar. The good: Dan Sacco was a very pleasant salesman, and reviewed all of our options thoroughly. Boston Solar was also the only company we contacted that sent someone out to record our site conditions and provide estimates based on something more concrete than a Google satellite photo. I was also happy to hear that Boston Solar would proactively monitor my system during the first 10 years, and proactively send someone out in the event of a warranty repair. The fact that they guaranteed output for the first 10 years also made me feel comfortable with the production estimates they provided. The not-so-good: The communication since signing has been an ongoing frustration for us. The expected timeline was laid out, but then as dates slipped and things didn't happen in a timely fashion we had to repeatedly reach out to find out where things stood. When the install week finally arrived, I was originally told it would be a 3 day process. I assumed (falsely), that this meant 3 full work days. It turns out that the crew only works from around 9 to about 1-1:30 (they did work until closer to 4 on the final day). They also left without doing any work on the first day due to rain. I understand that safety is critically important, but I had been told that installs happen even during snowy periods during the winter, but I stayed home for a day to meet the crew and after an hour or so they said they couldn't work because it was raining. This meant that I had to be home 4 days that week. On the final day as they were getting ready to leave I realized that the critter guard wasn't installed. They said that this would be done later by a different crew, but this was never communicated to me either. Our system has been operational for nearly a month now, and we are still struggling to get a response on when the critter guard will be installed. We found out today that our PM left the company, but that still doesn't explain why most questions about status updates are ignored, or take days to get a response. They were, however, very prompt about sending the final bill as soon as the system was energized. Overall, my opinions are mixed. I think the workmanship looks decent, and I think the sales process went reasonably well, but the communication problems over the 3 months of trying to get permitted and installed have been frustrating.
Great Communication throughout the whole thing. Quality is top tier and top of their priorities.
Very professional team. Kept me in the loop throughout the entire process.
Boston Solar was extremely thorough and everyone we interacted with was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They led every aspect of the process and kept us in the know and clearly communicated actions needed from me.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Boston Solar as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
