The amount of damages they did to my furniture made it clear to me hiring and supervising high school boys load a UHaul would have been a better choice. All of my furniture was marred in different manner. In some cases I have spent hours removing plastic film from the finish, in other cases they left rub marks that are permanent. It was the end of the day, so their only goal was to get it done. They got it moved, but the only appeared to be concerned with not breaking the furniture - if it got marked up, not their problem.

My family used 495 Movers to move my home, my mothers home, and my daughters apartment, into a new multi home property. We also used their storage for my home because it sold much faster than the others. 495 Movers was totally professional and took great care wrapping and marking everything for both storage, and on moving day! They even provided all the packing materials well prior to the moves. In my experience, their systematic approach really works.
The movers were quick and took great care of my furniture and set everything up appropriately. Most importantly, my furniture was not damaged, very happy with my experience.
This was my 20th move. 495 movers provided one of the most professional moving experiences I have ever had (excluding movers from Germany). I was extremely pleased with their communication, courtesy, and work ethic.
I used this company for my move from VA to Md. At the start of the rental process everything was great but that changed on moving day. Moving day comes and the movers are in route to me i receive a phone call where an extra mover has been added to movers at an extra cost to me. I stated i should have been given the information prior to the movers coming. As a result, I was informed that no matter how long my move was i would be required to pay the full amount. So for a moved that took just over 2.5 hours I was charged over 900.00 plus tip for the drivers. My mother is about to relocate to NC and asked my moving and i told her dont do it. They will overcharge you and make it sound like you did something wrong.
I recommended them to my sister, who used them the month after me. She was there part of the time to observe my move and asked them directly.
The crew assigned to my move seemed untrained and had to be watched constantly by me or my friends to avoid real problems.
Really impressed by the professionalism of each of the movers throughout a long day of extremely hard physical labor. These men need a raise and a bonus as well as the tip.
Have flexibility on dates and times. Can do full move including packing or just moving furniture. Workers were prompt and friendly.

Arrived on time and were careful with my things. I would recommend them to others.
When the packers packed us up they were considerate and respectful with of our items. I asked the representative if I would have the same group of men unpack me. I was told that that was not possible and I’d have a new group of guys. The unpacking process was a totally different experience, they ended up getting lazy, grumpy and sloppy during the process. Two big furnitures items got damaged and because I had insurance I figured they would be covered under the policy. I showed one of the movers the damage and he “pretended” to not speak English. In addition, months later I’m now finding boxes that I thought were missing, for example labeled master closet were actually stored in my basement area. Many misplaced boxes have simply been put in wrong areas of the house. I made it very clear to the unpackers that the guys who packed things up labeled each box accordingly and that is where it should go in the new house.

The 495 moving crew was professional, courteous, and expeditious.
These guys are fantastic. Everyone from the owner, to the foreman, the driver and each and everyone who touched our property was an absolute professional. And having the job bid as a firm fixed price was amazing - - No hidden fees, no add-ons, not a single penny more that what was agreed to at contract signing. Even after unloading and reloading previously self-packed goods, they were able to get the goods moved over 1,500 miles and not damage a single item. So, yes - - we were very pleased with the entire move.

I had the best experience with 495 movers. They were very quick and efficient on the day of moving, making the whole ordeal easy. They also offer moving materials before, which you can pick up from their warehouse (huge help!).
495 Movers was absolutely the BEST moving company I have ever used! They showed up on time, moved a five bedroom house very quickly, and without scuffing anything, the furniture or walls, and were very attentive to moving breakables. They moved my belongings 55 minutes away to a 4 story townhouse. They never complained and I must say it was incredibly hot outside, in the mid 90's. They placed all the furniture exactly where I asked and again did no damage to any pieces or to the walls. They laid plastic on the steps so as not to track dirt onto the carpets. I could not ask for better movers!!! A+++++++
