Starlight Homes is first time home buyer friendly
I was so impressed, I have already recommended my sister who went ahead and bought the house right across the street from me. Best value for the money I've seen in a while. Rented for 2 years while I searched.
Starlight offers sizable homes for market prices though the construction and quality are questionable. The sales team (Chris Goodsell!!) was awesome as well as the construction manager...but the builders clearly rushed through the process and there were many unnecessary / unsightly mistakes. Building materials and paint also leave much to be desired. Starlight definitely has potential but has missed the mark in quite a few areas.
competitive pricing
I went to a few different builders DR Horton, lennar, check out Mungo and my realtor referred me to check out Starlight. After getting payments and interest rates and down payments from multiple places I was very impressed with how much lower the monthly payment and interest rate and down payment was over here at starlight. Also from the other places I have seen I do believe the quality is a little nicer here and seems like the customer service is top notch. HOA has not been an issue as it's the first one I have had and everyone here seems really friendly so glad we choose starlight.
Barbara was an amazing resource for my wife and I and explained things very thoroughly and simply.
So far I LOVE my new house! IMO buying a brand new built house is the way to go.
We were very pleased with the sales agent, Barbara.
Very impressed
My home-buying experience with Starlight from the time I entered the sales office to present day has been exceptional. My salesperson, Caleb Young, was very knowledgeable and helpful. Without his encouragement, I would not have even tried to purchase a house as I was convinced I would never be approved for a mortgage. The construction manager, James, not only made sure my house was ready when I closed, but also gave me pointers during my walk-through to ensure I knew how to maintain the home. My experience with the lender, Robert Reid, and his assistant, Zoe, was also great. I appreciated the frequent communication about my loan application. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the whole process was. I have been in my home for about 6-7 weeks, and I love it! I have no complaints at all. Thank you!
Starlight Homes' price point was good. I do have some quality concerns.
Did not know so much of the development was being sold to a rental corporation. I feel misled and deceived that this information was obscured
The team from Starlight Homes was very courteous, and they made the closing very easy.
I love my new home! Issues have been resolved very quickly. I will and have recommended Starlight homes to my friends and co workers.
Great communication skills! Made the entire process so easy! No stress at all!
Jarred, the builder kept his word on fixing everything.
Exceeded My Expectations
I have already.
Easy and quick process, very happy to start our family in our new home.
The entire process was professional, easy, and enjoyable.
honestythe house wa sbuoilt too quickly and poorly, people now have problems, people moved in less than a month ago and alreayd have air conditioning here, drainage n aour bacylkayda absooulutely horrendous, trying ot get fixed since moved an dsitll not fixed .
They did everything they said they would do when they said it would be done.
The communication was perfect! Everything was explained throughly and follow through was timely
The area is beautiful and quiet.
The quality of the build is junk. My kitchen cabinets are falling apart. I have been in the house for two months. All of my floors have been installed incorrectly, and everyone in the neighborhood is fed up with the floors. I paid $300,000, and you would think we would have wood on the floors. It's all been a giant bubblegum circle. My shower head swivels a loose. Dealing with the HOA and get information on what you have to do to put up a fence is insane. It's been two weeks back and forth and been getting little bits of information. I just found out I have to notify the city to get a fence. We were told that all the fiber has been installed, but instead I have lines/wires running through my yard. This is a bubblegum wrapped home on a slab built for $800,000 by illegal immigrants.
We found the entire process very simple - they explain things every step of the way so there were no surprises. I believe they take pride in their company and strive to keep a good reputation.
Easy to deal with and honest.
Not Happy!!
Buying a home is a personal decision, I would defer to the home hunter to view a variety of properties.
Very expensive houses and construction does not meet consequent expectations.
Lots of value for the money. Quality appliances and HVAC.
craftman ship was not the level I was expecting
My experience with the Christopher, the salesperson, and Sam, the builder, has been excellent
Kimberly was great, very informative, and answered all my questions. Mark was a great help and guided us through the process pretty easily.
My home buying experience would have been perfect had my sale representative disclosed the fact that half of the development would be leased to renters.
Overall good but build quality could be better
Kim and Michele were both wonderful to work with. They were very open and informative. They were excellent at communicating. I recommend them both to anyone!
Everyone I dealt with was very friendly, very courteous, and very professional. Kenny Faulk, in particular, and James Wells took great care of us.
It was a wonderful process, and they made the first-time home buying experience easy.
The entire process was very easy. They communicated weekly and provided the best service.
I've waited. I've giving time for followup on my end. My entire experience in the beginning was great with my sales person Kenny. But what changes the whole experience for me was the lack of action surrounding my grass. Wha was obviously a batch of bad grass. A huge spot in my yard that has not grown and the weeds growing rampant through the yard. I've reached out heard it would be addressed and three months later nothing. Obviously no home can be perfect so I'll address the other things under warranty. But apparently once you sign and close l, Starlight doesn't care what happens next.
It's a nice mix in the neighborhood so far in terms of age.
I am very happy with my house, but some details were not attended to in a timely manner and the guarantee service is very slow, also the grass had a lot of weeds and was not well planted
When I spoke with the sales associate over the phone, really one guy was very professional. I'm from California and moved to South Carolina. When I got over there, I was basically told by him and everybody else that there was no inspection done. This is a brand new house. I was disappointed after the fact that it took me three weeks to get the builder to go over there and fix the electric issues in my house. I still have to stick with the builder. The front door doesn't latch. The craftmanship on the house doesn't work. The customer service is great and the quality of the house is great. Helping me with the builders is very poor.
We are so happy with our new home and were impressed with how quickly we were able to close on it.
The overall quality is very good.
