Great workmanship, a little lacking in communication. Just the current environment resulting in their being oversold and stretched a little thin over number of jobs going.
I highly recommend this company.
I am very satisfied, and I would put 10-stars if I could!
The planning and total renovation was completely stressful. Having a project manager to communicate changes with made the project run smoothly.
Enthusiasm and sentiment at the beginning of the project as compared to throughout and at the end of the project were like night and day. Everything sounded and, at the onset, looked so amazing. The actual experience, however, was not even close. If fact, at the very end, we never again heard a word from our designer. It was as if she fell off the face of the earth. Budget was not adhered to, schedules were not adhered to, surprises came at us at every turn and communication - especially escalations - was minimal and very slow. We were often times left working with trades on design feedback and answering questions ourselves. Multiple items had to be done and then redone. Quality of product was lacking and overall transparency was nonexistent. We felt like there was a secret vacuum our questions would get sucked into, never to be ever considered. There was a lot of talk about a "happiness curve." Our experience was more like a happiness hill - pointing downward. Two separate people in my immediate family are in the midst of renovation projects and when they asked me if I would recommend our firm, I emphatically said no.
Communication through the execution of the project was extremely poor. The project schedule was not managed proactively - everything was a reaction, and a slow one at that. Specific examples of poor management include incomplete material deliveries that were not noticed for a week (which then delayed tile work), slow identification of siding materials which left the siding off the house for nearly the duration of the project, molding profiles were not considered until the project was nearly complete, then couldn't be matched.
They have been exemplary dealing with our situation at our home. We had a fire and they rebuilt our house.
Excellent quality of workmanship. Time tables were affected by Covid delays but would highly recommend
They do quality work, kept to the schedule and pricing agreed upon.
Hi would and have recommended renovation by design.
I have recommended to a few people already
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the opportunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Renovation By Design as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
