Very pleased with the Case team from beginning to end. Delivered as promised which hasn’t been my experience with other contractors.
I would wholeheartedly without reservations recommend Case Design/Remodeling of DC.
Our construction experience was excellent; however the project development process had several challenges. I would highly reccomend Case but would recommend working with a different project developer and designer
Very pleased - project ran smoothly and was completed on time
All in all Case Design/Remodeling Inc. of DC Metro area did a tremendous job and took great care of us.
They were great and hardworking. They did a great a job and our home is beautiful.
I highly recommend the craftsmanship of the workers what remodeled our house. I do have a lot of concerns recommending Case due to project management.
We have worked with several contractors over the years, and our experience with Case was superior to the others.
Absolutely! This is the best remodeling/construction experience we've had. Ever.
This was my first home improvement project for a 53 year old house and the guidance, help, and hands on activity that Mary, Neil, and Jose and all the support staff at CASE provided made the experience a pleasure! Keep in mind that this project was done during the height of the CV19 Pandemic in Maryland. Mary had great design ideas and the CASE showroom in Bethesda was very useful. The products for tile, counter top, vanity, fixtures were all very nicely displayed and great to be hands on. Neil made sure the work was prompt and well done and made special efforts to stop by and check in on progress many times. Prep work including dust walls, carpet and floor covering was excellent. Jose was the main craftsman and did an excellent job truly a skilled craftsman! CASE has a good reputation and many neighbors said "Aren't they expensive?" Yes, you pay a bit of a premium but you get top line work with top shelf products fitting your vision.
They were wonderful during the work process and performed everything as promised. Overall, it was a wonderful company to work with!
Case did a superb job on our kitchen remodel project and I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. We especially appreciated how smoothly things went even though we were overseas for the entire time the actual construction took place. A special shout out to Stefan Eising, who led the construction team, for going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the kitchen was completed perfectly. Many thanks also to Dave Vogt, who helped develop the project, and Kay Ugwuoke, our kitchen designer for quality work. One matter on which Case could be clearer is in eliminating any ambiguity about the cost of the initial design, based on which the decision to proceed is made. Case offers a cost range for the initial design, but they could be clearer that for the cost of the proposed design and materials is pitched at the middle of the range.
I think we are very pleased with the design, their recommendations, and the individuals that did the work were very, very, professional.
Sadly, no. We had a wonderful first build and felt like Case was the best. We had the same master carpenter through the whole build who owned the project and made sure everything went smoothly. This time it was a constant parade of strangers, no one knew our project and owned it. We never felt like anyone had a connection to the whole vision of what they were building, no one made sure that things were done right. We felt like it was on us to make sure that things were correct and to point out every error, or it would be missed since the next day it was someone different from Case or no one from Case, just subs who didn't know what they were doing and would often ask us. No, we would not recommend Case which is a huge change from after our first Case project where we recommended the firm many times and brought you $600K of work (which was not done well and was cancelled.)
I highly recommend Case Design.
The entire experience exceeded our expectations and we love our new kitchen!
I've worked with Case on several projects. My experience has consistently been that they bring top quality expertise to each project. I know without a doubt that the project will be done right the first time. For that, I am very thankful. Each member of the team was professional, brought top quality expertise, and was kind and thoughtful. My most recent project was completed well ahead of schedule, and I could not be more pleased with the results.
I recently completed a 4-month kitchen/first floor/sunroom renovation with Case. They exhibited unusual professionalism at every step, had creative solutions to the "surprises" that appeared once we got behind the walls of an older home, and stayed in budget and ahead of schedule. Overall, a very low-stress project because I knew I could count on Case to "do the right thing" and that the quality of workmanship would be outstanding.
I could not be happier with my experience in working with Case Design/Remodeling. Mary Englert is an excellent project manager and contributed design ideas as well. Melissa Cooley delivered beautiful designs and worked well with me to incorporate my feedback and ideas. Kay Ugwuoke did excellent 3-D renderings to give me a very good idea of what the final product would look like before work began. Kevin Davis was the on-site project manager and he made sure that I was receiving excellent quality in all components of the remodeling of my kitchen and master bathroom. Kevin's handiwork is extraordinary! He did a masterful job with cabinet installations and the kitchen backsplash, as well as wrapping a support column in wood slats in what has turned out to be a show-stopper in the kitchen. Kevin also handled my punch list beautifully and promptly. Kevin is easy to work with and always kept me informed as to progress when we got together each Tuesday morning for our regular meetings. Mary and Melissa gave me excellent recommendations for paint colors and things I would not have considered, such as having an accent wall in the living/dining room area. Mary and Kevin worked so well with my condo building's management staff that I received zero complaints -- in fact, just the reverse -- I received multiple compliments from the management staff and from neighbors. Finally, I would like to mention that the Case team delivered my project EXACTLY on the original work-time schedule. I have never had that type of experience before with any contractor. Every person that I met and interacted with from Case was courteous and friendly, helping make the remodeling experience a very good one.
Greg Polen, Antonio and the whole design and construction team are a group of professionals who are very knowledgeable and approachable. I am very satisfied with their craftsmanship. The outcome of the project integrated the new addition with the old space seamlessly. The master bedroom, bathroom, powder room are beautifully constructed. During construction, Greg led a very smooth progression of the project and was available to find solutions to any problems.I would definitely recommend CASE and would continue to work with them for future projects.
The one thing that I always say about Case and our house remodel is "everything looks better than I thought it would." We worked with Gizem, Elena, Bruce, and Jason. It was a huge project - very old house that hadn't been well-maintained. We moved the kitchen, moved around several walls and doorways, and created a master suite upstairs. We also created a mudroom in the basement and put a garage door on. Case is expensive, for sure, but you get what you pay for. Everything just looks incredible. The team was responsive, quickly dealt with my issues, and almost finished on time. Honestly, there are a couple of nitpicky things I could say that bothered me at the time but now that the project is over and done with and my house looks like it does I really don't care. The big things that mattered were done well. They were on budget (I ended up paying $2k more for allowances at the end), pretty much on time (our shower door was custom and ended up taking a month and a half longer than expected), the quality is SO GOOD, the subcontractors were all good and respectful, our main carpenter was so smart and great at his job, our designers honestly KILLED it - I have very specific tastes that I'd define as "not basic but not kind of basic" and Gizem and Elena were able to nail it. I never want to do another renovation again, but if I did, I'd definitely call Case.
While the work completed was of high quality, some items in the contract specifications were initially not ordered and others that were ordered had the wrong specifications. However, the Project Manager did rectify these problems, so that the project was finished on time. Completing the punch list did require a few return visits.
All The staff from the design specialist to the people who did the work including subs for drywall, paint and flooring were professional and did exceptional work. The project manager communicated weekly in great detail and was always available to answer our questions. Case is a high-quality firm which I would recommend for any design/remodeling work!
We are very pleased with Case Design/Remodeling Inc..
It was wonderful working with the design team and the construction crew. They were always accommodating to our wishes and changes.
