Home was not at the best state when we closed, multiple things were promised to us before the closing process but none fulfilled. Yard is always flooded with water, but this was something that was discussed in the closing notes that will be fixed if we see excessive flooding. Even after pictures are sent this was considered "in standard". Hanging light fixture not at an even length, it was noticeable. Warranty sent someone to fix it, but they refused to make it somewhat aligned so it's not obvious. House and carpet was not clean, there was mud, dirt, dust that was not cleaned by Beacon. A lot of the issues that were identified during the walk through were never fixed, with tape in all those areas. These were directly sent to beacon during the closing process, but still not fixed. Front door leaks air, I had front porch power washed, and there was water all over in the inside of the home. There were multiple issues with cabinets not closing and I had to hire another person externally to come fix it. Rust on outer windows, which we had asked to fix during walk through and was never done. Advice to anyone purchasing with beacon: do not wait to go through warranty, delay your closing and get them to get it all done before.
Beacon Homes built me a fabulous home that I truly love. Working with the different teams doing every aspect of the building process was a great experience from start to finish. I truly would recommend this quality home builder to anyone.
The quality of the build of my house is horrible. There are a lot of flaws. It's very poor quality.
Beacon did a great job building our home. They were honest and transparent throughout the process and our new home is beautiful.
I'm very pleased with the build quality & they stand behind their work.
Most phases of our build went as smoothly as could be expected, considering National supply chain issues. However, even during such conditions, most employees at Beacon were helpful, diligent and communicative about delays.
So why two stars? In short, ill treatment during closing and lack of move-in readiness. We faced delays due to Beacon not installing the carpet in time for the bank inspection, and then our bank’s system went down for an entire day. Not our fault, right? WRONG according to Shelli who called to yell at me about the delay, threatening thousands of dollars in late fees unless we closed that same day instead of the day after. So I had to reschedule the notary last minute and pull my husband out of work just to accommodate this request. As I was talking to my bank representative, she revealed that Shelli had also treated her “horribly” the week before. Another person I worked with during the build called to apologize for her behavior and let me know that I wasn’t the first customer she was hostile towards. If we aren’t the only ones, why hasn’t this been addressed? As for move in readiness, the laundry room didn’t have power (since fixed) and we still don’t have a working dishwasher (not Beacon’s problem says warranty). One of the garage doors also doesn’t work. Which honestly we would have had an easier time tolerating the needed fixes if we hadn’t been treated so poorly by Shelli.
We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend Beacon highly to my friends or family.
Our general contractor was AMAZING. His communication was always spot on, we have only been in the house a couple days but we love everything about it.
They are hard to get a hold of once you've bought the house from them.
I have bought several homes, and this is the best over all experience I have had.
I had a terrible contractor who would never answer my calls and even if he did was very rude and unprofessional
There were a number of issues, most of which were not resolved to our satisfaction. They claimed where someone cut into our kitchen cabinets was a construction anomaly. The stain job on the kitchen cabinets was very splotchy. The garage door leaks water under the threshold and I believe it is because the sidewalk is not recessed enough. All of the ceiling fans installed in the home were out of balance and when I asked to have them fixed, they only fixed one and did not check any of the others. The website for logging problems is difficult to use. Their attitude is if there is a problem then we need to fix it ourselves.
I love my home, but my experience with the company is not something I would wish on anyone. It ruined my first home-buying experience.
Everyone involved was very professional.
End product is very nice; communication was poor during the building process. Still waiting on some Beacon owes us items.
We could not be happier with the quality and look of our Beacon home. It has been a dream come true!
Enjoyable experience and quality product. I would recommend Beacon Fine Homes to a friend.
There are a lot of things wrong with my Beacon Fine Homes, home.
Our home is beautiful and they were so easy to work with!
Everyone who worked with us was very informative and very helpful in making this stressful process easy breezy! Thank you Beacon staff!
Beacon was so great to work with us through two different offers on homes. We ended up with a beautiful home in the community we desired! We love the unique touches Beacon does on all their homes.
For the price mine as well go for a complete custom home, the home was not perfect, there were a lot of new things that were already damaged.
The reason is, there are things that they didn't do right. The paint didn't match and they haven't been back to fix it. The guy that did the walk though seems to be in a hurry
Fine quality home and some of the nicest, most compassionate people I have worked with in a very long time.
We love our Beacon Home! Smooth process in closing and the built being completed on time. Enjoyed our process from start to finish. Found the Homeowner Orientation as very helpful!
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the opportunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Beacon Fine Homes as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
