Exceeding Expectations - Our PM, Nick Holm, was amazing. He responded to emails promptly, even after hours. He kept us apprised of the status of our product on a regular basis, and most importantly was kind, friendly and professional.
Future Project with ADS - Yes. We will be remodeling our basement and master bath in the future and will definitely reach out to ADS
Sub-Contractors - Professionalism - The team was at all times very positive and helpful. Any time there were questions or requests, they were dealt with positively every time.
Workmanship - All the materials were of very good quality. Workmanship was also good and where adjustments were needed, the team always worked to improve or fix.
Why ADS? - Seeing examples of ADS projects on social media that looked very nice, incorporating design expertise and inputs to the overall project - being able to visualize the design virtually before committing to a plan/work, knowing Christine personally -- all these were positive factors in choosing ADS.
Exceeding Expectations - (1) The value the designer brought to the process for us - helping reduce choices and come up with suggestions that gave us confidence of making wise decisions and (2) The great customer service from the onsite staff - positive attitude and always taking time to listen and fixing anything that was needed to be done.
Additional Comments - We love our new kitchen and had a very positive experience with ADS. We've already referred to some of our friends and hopefully that will continue a positive cycle for ADS.
Budget Analysis - I liked how everything in the budget process was broken down by materials and labor and that there were two price ranges offered depending on what I chose as far as the quality of the materials. Not only did it allow me to see where my money was going, but it also allowed me to determine if there were any facets of the project that I might want to hold off on in order to save money. Based on the budget information, I was able to decide to do the full project rather than delay any portions.
Drawings - The quality of the design drawings allowed me to make quicker decisions because I was able to visualize the final product.
Needs And Desires - My designer, Michelle, had a thorough understanding of the changes that I was looking to make in my kitchen space. I appreciated that she didn't just simply implement my requests; if there was something that she thought could be improved upon, she didn't hesitate to offer it as an alternative. For each design element, she offered multiple choices. In most cases, I selected from the choices she offered, in other cases, I was able to take her design suggestions and find something similar that I liked better.
Communication - Michelle was very responsive during the design process. In between design meetings, we communicated through either text or e-mail. If I was trying to make a decision on materials, she provided me with samples. She streamlined the design process so that it was not overwhelming.
Project Manager Communication - Justin was very responsive to phone calls, texts, and e-mails throughout the project.
Fears Or Concerns - Because of the online reviews that were available on Advance Design Studio, I did not have any concerns going into the project. A company doesn't have those excellent online reviews without providing superior service.

Exceeding Expectations - I was very impressed with ADS's commitment to customer satisfaction. I felt very confident that they would do whatever they need to in order to make sure that I was happy with the final product. This same attitude is shared by the sub-contractors that were onsite. It is very evident that the sub-contractors value their partnership with ADS.
Service Excellence 2.0 - Josh was not only a great carpenter, but I enjoyed having him working at my house. He was great at communicating what he would be working on each day and always asked if I had any questions. Scott (RYNO) was extremely helpful and patient when I was selecting the stain color for my floor. Justin was instrumental in figuring out how to get all of the mechanicals that ran through the kitchen soffits rerouted so the soffits could be eliminated. He also made a significant design change when he suggested to Michelle that a valance be added over the kitchen sink and a wall extended to the right of the kitchen sink so a cabinet could be added.

Service Excellence 2.0 - It was great working with everyone on Ryan’s team but Todd was exceptional. He was always on time and always working. He got to know my style and selected door knobs that were my style. Also, Adam and I can’t recall the mans name that mainly did the outside door painting and one other guy who was constant in the project. They were all ver courteous to my family and did top notch work. The sub-contractors were nice as well.
Fears Or Concerns - We weren't quite sure how to visualize the whole thing. Several other contractors we received bids from didn't show us the vision. They simply told us that the cabinet designer or whoever would do that later. it was nice to have somebody who could tie it all together before we committed.
Why Us 2.0 - ADS was referred to us. We received three bids total and they were right in the middle. However there were miles apart from the other two. They were professional, timely, reasonable, and most importantly helped us with the design process before we committed to anything. I would highly recommend them.
Exceeding Expectations - Yes. The design portion. As I mentioned other contractors did not focus on this or did not even have software to do so. Also they did not have designers in house.

Exceeding Expectations - The instruction book Advance Design puts together is similar to a "routing" in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent tool to employ when multiple employees and sub contractors are involved in completing the engagement. They had simpler versions of this approach in earlier projects but I was very impressed at how much further they had developed this technique since our last experience.
Service Excellence 2.0 - Everyone was conscientious and cooperative. Jason, R C, Bob (the plumber), Kevin (the electrician) and the Roy's (the tile guys) all made positive impressions and contributions. There were a couple of adverse mishaps but they were resolved promptly and satisfactorily..
Next Project 2.0 - Handyman services for sure and, perhaps, some additional electrical work later this year or next year.

My wife and I held off on submitting our review so that we could let some time pass, collect our thoughts and not simply 'react' to our experience. A couple months have now passed since project completion. In short, you can tell ADS has spent a lot of time developing their support & design teams on the process of 'selling' themselves to potential clients to get them to commit. Sadly, it's what comes after those initial impressions that really matters and that's where they fail to impress. Do not be fooled by the look of the cover. Make sure you talk over your design and wish lists with other companies, first, before agreeing to retaining ADS for your project. It will save you time, money & aggravation...
Fears Or Concerns - Staying within my budget, and still keeping with my design ideas was my main concern. My designer understood my strict budget and was able to offer alternative products to stay on budget, while still giving me the “ look” that I wanted.

Advanced Design has a knowledgeable, professional, friendly staff. They present comprehensive plans and explain details well. Once contracted, they are exceptional in the quality of products provided and overall workmanship . AD also has an on-site showroom allowing face-to-face communication and choice of materials. It is a one-stop-shopping experience. They also have committed subcontractors with working relationships providing a seamless execution of labor. The AD staff truly goes above and beyond to make the project outstanding. We are very happy with the results.
Communication - Nicole is excellent. She listens well, is very goal oriented, and any question/problem solving was never an issue. She is a great designer as well as go-to person. Nicole represents AD well.
Knowledge And Expertise - Office staff/subcontractors are very professional and competent. A few adjustments/corrections arose during the project, and fair/equitable solutions were quickly found.
Workmanship - Quality of materials and workmanship are outstanding.
Fears Or Concerns - Based upon past remodels: timeframes, hidden costs, permits not obtained, stress involved during disruption of daily routines, becoming our own project manager/product supplier, inferior materials and sloppy workmanship requiring us to finish a job, we really were hesitant to take on another large project. AD addressed each of the above concerns and convincingly committed to the entire project from start-to-finish. Overall, they were exceptional.
Why Us 2.0 - 1. AD has an actual on-site studio that is near our home which allows face-to-face communication and makes choosing materials very easy. That's what brought us to you initially. 2. Nicole -- her proposed plan surpassed our expectations and her in-depth explanations of materials and costs left nothing unanswered. She is very friendly, professional, listens well, and we could tell that she is goal oriented.3. The initial project manager/subcontractors meeting at our home was impressive. We felt all subcontractors had an upfront idea of our project's requirements and had good working relationships among themselves.4. Materials -- Exceptional quality.

Fears Or Concerns - A previous remodeling experience (bathrooms) with another company that lacked detailed planning taught us that we would definitely want a more detailed plan for any future project. ADS provided very detailed drawings and renderings that inspired confidence and enabled us to visualize the end product.
Why Us 2.0 - We wanted a full-service experience and were reassured by ADS's team approach. The proposed renderings of our new space worked well with our existing furniture that we wanted to keep. The several clients on the ADS referral list that we contacted all gave positive feedback.
