easy to work with great quality of work trades are wonderful to work with as well as the designer
Project Manager Communication - I would give them a six. Our Project Manager was great at getting back to us even on weekends and evenings.
Client Experience - I would give them a ten!
Fears Or Concerns - We feared that the project would run over and it would not come in on time. Advance Design Studio was spot on with their estimate. The project was little over the time but we were in the middle of a pandemic.
Why ADS? - We got a referral from a friend of a friend of a friend. They entuned to what our needs were and what we really wanted.
Exceeding Expectations - Just about everything exceeded our expectations.
Ways To Improve - There was nothing that went bad. I can't say anything.
Future Project with ADS - Yes, we will use them in the future.
Additional Comments - It went incredibly well. Our designer listened. We are in love with our kitchen.
Fears Or Concerns - If my ideas would become a reality. They were discussed and other options that I didn’t think of were suggested. That made my vision even better.
Why ADS? - A family member had something done for them and they were pleased. Read the reviews.
Exceeding Expectations - Our project manager was great. He worked so hard to make sure that the schedule was kept as close to possible and we were not inconvenienced anymore then necessary.
Additional Comments - On a whole it was a great experience. We had a lot of work done at one time. From the very beginning to the end they did a great job. It was a pleasure to work with Rachel and Nick and all of the guys.
I have already told anyone who has asked about Advance Design Studio! From beginning to end, they were professional, creative, patient, and a pleasure to work with. I LOVE my new spaces! We completely remodeled our first floor and couldn't be happier!
Needs And Desires - Claudia was wonderful throughout the process. She listened to our needs (even when we were not quite sure what our needs were) and worked very hard to include what we needed/wanted within our budget. Also, we ending up with MANY change orders as the project, progressed; mostly because we did not realize things that we wanted to include until were were in the middle of the work. But our team was ALWAYS willing to make it all happen, as if it was part of the day's work.
Project Proposal - This was our first major remodeling project, so we were a bit naïve about it all, but Claudia was so patient with us. She went through the proposal line-by-line to explain it all. Even so, because of our lack of knowledge, when things came up later that were different than we had anticipated, the team made the needed changes seem effortless to us.
Investment Analysis - Absolutely. It was invaluable to know where the money was going and how we could change things here and there to fit into our budget, or where we just needed to and a few more $$ to make things "just right."
Knowledge And Expertise - Our questions never went unanswered. Our project manager and carpenter were wonderful! They were always approachable and willing to explain things. It really is Common Sense Remodeling! ADS really delivered for us. I can't wait for our next project!
Project Manager Communication - Our team was VERY responsive to our needs. I was so pleasantly surprised by the outstanding communication provided at every step of the renovation. We always knew what was coming next, and who would be coming to our home. Ours was a pretty big project, at least for us, so there were many sub-contractors in and out. This level of communication was so important. The group text arrangement made questions and answers so effortless for us.
Sub-Contractors - Professionalism - All of the sub-contractors were great. They were not only professional and courteous, they were all outstanding craftsmen. We couldn't be happier with all of the work that was done.
Safety & Cleanliness - I was actually expecting more construction dust!!! I really appreciate that ADS and all of the sub-contractors made sure to do everything they could to keep our spaces as clean as they did. We lived in our basement, and upstairs bedrooms, throughout the project, but had to pass through the construction zone to get to the refrigerator and other necessities. We were always able to do so safely and the tradesmen never made us feel like were in the way.
Timeline - We had many change orders and some unavoidable material delays. Plus, Covid related delays with sub-contractors were unavoidable. Our project manager, Jeff, made sure to keep us "in the loop," so we really never felt like things were not on schedule. High quality work and results take time. And in our case, it was time very well spent!
Workmanship - Without a doubt, the workmanship was outstanding! When we start another project (and I am sure we will), we will want our same team!! However, there is not doubt in my mind that all of the designers and craftsmen at ADS are equally superior. The skill, creativity, and artistry of our team, and the results they produced in our home, was truly amazing. I never realized how much was involved! Thank goodness I remembered ADS from seeing them work on a home in my neighborhood years ago (from the outside). I am so glad that I made that initial informational appointment! We have no regrets and love all the work that was completed!
Warranty Satisfaction - Absolutely! A two year warranty. WOW! Everything is perfect now, but there is no doubt in my mind that if anything comes up, ADS will be here to make it right.
Client Experience - This was definitely an exceptional experience in every way. From the moment we first met Claudia at that chilly January information session, through all of the planning, work and project completion, we felt informed, involved, and respected. We have never remodeled like this before and really had no idea about all that was involved and what to expect. This was a HUGE change to our home, with a large price tag, and that produces a lot of anxiety! All of the visuals that we were provided (drawings, renderings, timeline, etc.) allowed us to literally "see" our project coming together. The investment analysis helped us to know where all of our money was going and helped us to tweak our plans to fit our budget. Although, I kept adding/changing things as the project went on, so our budget ultimately had to grow.
Fears Or Concerns - Our biggest fears probably revolved around the scope of the work and the cost. We knew that due to the layout of our home, this would not be a simple kitchen redo... One room needed to flow into the next room. In the end, there was not a space on our first floor that was not touched. We were not sure how to make our tiny kitchen in the middle of the house work and function better. Claudia came in that first time and immediately put our minds at rest with her ideas. From that moment, we knew that we were in good hands and that everything could be accomplished (and then some)! Regarding the cost, as I said above, the investment analysis was invaluable to us. There were no hidden costs and we knew exactly what we needed to finance our project. Even when change orders occurred, we knew of the costs and agreed to them prior to the work going forward. Our initial fears were put to rest early in the process for sure.
Why ADS? - I initially learned of ADS because they completed a project in my neighborhood some years ago. I passed by that home every day that summer on my daily walk. I was so impressed with the professionalism that I saw, just from across the street. The vehicles, workers, and work spaces that I saw in the garage and on the driveway were so neat, tidy and professionally dressed, that I could not help but be impressed. I always remembered ADS, and checked out the website more than once over the years. When it was finally time for us to get our project going, the first place I looked was ADS. Like I said before, we were sold on ADS from our first meeting with Claudia. We knew that we needed to contract with a company that could handle all aspects of the project from design, through construction, to completion. We did not have the time or knowledge to be running around looking for materials or whatever else would be needed. ADS was equipped to handle everything for us! Another perk was that the design studio is so close to our West Dundee home. That made meetings and design choices so convenient and simple. For us, there simply was no other choice.
Exceeding Expectations - Just about everything! You usually only hear of the headaches people experience when they undertake a major remodeling project. We literally had none of those. Delays were completely out of ADS control and were completely understandable. I must say that I initiated a lot of change orders over the course of the project. Every single one of them was met with understanding and a desire to make everything as I wanted. In addition, Claudia was so helpful to me with a multitude of design choices throughout our project. She seemed to know what I wanted before I even did much of the time. I know that Claudia, Jeff, and the entire team (including all of the players behind the scenes) exceeded our expectations because we really miss having them around our home on a regular basis!
Ways To Improve - Quite honestly, we cannot think of any! ADS has clearly put an enormous amount of thought, time, and research into their business model. They should continue their superb work. We have been extremely pleased.
Future Project with ADS - Eventually we will be in need of some upstairs remodeling (bathrooms, floors, stairs, etc). Our basement could use some work as well. When we do decide to move forward with any of that, we will definitely call on ADS. We have already used Ed for some Handyman work and that experience was great too.
Needs And Desires - They were great to work with!
Sub-Contractors - Professionalism - He was great and the designer was great, they were superior to anyone we have worked with before!
Fears Or Concerns - They were professional, they did what they said they were going to do, and they did it in the timeframe they said they would!
Why ADS? - Their planning approach, follow up, and professionalism!
Exceeding Expectations - Everything was great and they did a great job!
Ways To Improve - We had a small issue and they owned up to it, took care of it, and that made the experience even better!
Future Project with ADS - Sure!
They excelled at the overall delivery model. The professionalism and care and thoroughness of all the colleagues bar none was exceptional;
Needs And Desires - I would give 6 stars if I could for the designer/sales person!
Knowledge And Expertise - They absolutely did answer my questions, and I had no problems during the project!
Project Manager Communication - My project manager absolutely was responsive and communicated well!
Sub-Contractors - Professionalism - The subcontractors were absolutely professional and courteous!
Timeline - They were absolutely spot on with their timeline!
Workmanship - I am completely satisfied with the quality of materials and workmanship!
Client Experience - I would give 10 stars for my experience if I could!
Fears Or Concerns - I was initially worried about the timeline, knowing what product to select, and the overwhelming aspect of the size of the project. After having used Advance Design, they're like a fleeting moment, not even a concern. I had nothing to worry about.
Why ADS? - The factors that went into my decision were the initial design/renderings, the whole team that came out to do the site survey and how professional they were, the ability for the on site visit during the selection process, and the designer who was so supportive in listening to our needs and knowing how to translate those needs into the ultimate design that we selected.
Exceeding Expectations - The designer who kept in touch with us didn't step away from the project. They exceeded my expectations by having the project manager so in tune to keeping the project moving along, and how the subcontractors were so in tune to the project. When they walked in, they knew to go to the design book. They were very professional and cordial in communicating with us if we did have a question. It was exceptional was how the cabinet maker put everything together.
Ways To Improve - From the initial time we had the renderings, we kept an ongoing communication with the designer. The date we picked, they adhered to. The overall management of the project - they pretty much did everything spot on. Obviously, price is one thing, but with the size of this project we went high end. It went great with the renderings rather than struggling with picking out the design. Their design studio is great in terms of layout and being able to see the items you're going to be purchasing - that I thought was great. I have no suggestions.
Future Project with ADS - We actually are currently in discussions for renovations for two bathrooms.
Additional Comments - The project manager was so in tune to communicating with us daily on the status of the project. He was available for follow-up questions. We could not have done it without him. We knew we would be on lockdown, so the gorgeous kitchen and TV and cabinet are great.
Fears Or Concerns - This was my first professional remodeling experience. I wasn't sure what to expect, except for the "big reveal" of added budget time or money from TV shows. That never happened. This was and on time and budget, which I was thankful for!
Why ADS? - ADS made it easy from the design process to the project communication. They helped me learn along the way, and helped advise about the process.
Exceeding Expectations - Overall, I'm surprised at how easy it was. I'm thankful that my designer, Nicole, and my project manager, Nick, were kind and communicative. They also seemed genuinely as excited as I was about the outcome. This seems out of the norm, and definitely bonus to the investment I made in doing this project.
Future Project with ADS - Yes!
Fears Or Concerns - I was scared they would not be on time, not hear our thoughts and would find items to charge us. This was not the case at all!
Why ADS? - I originally learned about ADS through a Facebook post from Michelle Lecinski a designer on your team. She is a childhood friend of mine and I connected with her and trusted her, saw her posts on the designs and trusted this was the company we wanted to work with our kitchen.
Exceeding Expectations - Everything exceeded my expectations - from the moment we saw the 3D rendition to the last day. The team was Amazing and everyone was communicative and perfectionist. Great Value all together.
Future Project with ADS - Yes - in the next few years we will have more updates.
Additional Comments - We were beyond thrilled with our project end to end and were very pleased with the entire process. Thank you so much for caring about the end product, ensuring you were on the timeline and delivered a great end product. T
Why ADS? - Who could complete the entire project simultaneously and collaborate on all aspects
Exceeding Expectations - Attention to detail and quick responses when things popped up unexpectedly. Jeff came to our house on a Saturday night because our new oven wouldn't heat up. He didn't have to do that.
Future Project with ADS - Yes
Additional Comments - Thank you!
Fears Or Concerns - I was afraid of a poorly planned project, prone to mistakes and delays. ADS eased my fears quickly by their professionalism and transparency.
Why ADS? - Professionalism, transparency, reasonable cost, great design, and a true feel of partnership throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Exceeding Expectations - everything exceeded expectations!
Ways To Improve - can't think of anything, unless they want to work for free
Future Project with ADS - absolutely
Additional Comments - fantastic work!
Fears Or Concerns - We are new to the area so we were not able to leverage word of mouth so we had to be comfortable in the fact of trusting them to do the work. They created a positive, trusting relationship with us and it turned out well.
Why ADS? - Claudia listened to what we wanted. They presented us with a range of options so we had a choice to pay for extras or scale back. The design process was a really good experience.
Exceeding Expectations - Claudia exceeded our expectations in the design phase.
Future Project with ADS - We will definitely use them again when we decide when we want to do our next project.
Ours was a powder room remodel- added a shower and moved a closet. Nicole brought our vision to life on paper and Nick made it happen. The workers were all courteous and respectful. The powder room is beautiful- exactly what we wanted.
Fears Or Concerns - I was concerned the room might look cramped with the additional shower but it doesn’t look that way at all. If anything it looks more spacious.
Why ADS? - We loved the design and knew their team would do a great job.
Exceeding Expectations - The end result exceeded my expectations. I knew it would be pretty but didn't realized how much we’d love it.
Future Project with ADS - Hoping to have four master bath remodeled next year by ADS!
Additional Comments - We are very happy with our Powder Room remodel. We sacrificed 3” of closet space to gain a shower! Win!!! Love our one little spa.
Fears Or Concerns - Before I engaged with them I had a friend that remodeled my kitchen and it was a hot mess. They were referred to me by a friend. They were very responsive and professional. They were a wonder to get a hold of. The work that they did was spectacular!
Exceeding Expectations - The fact that my contractor Nick was professional and responsive. I knew that his work would be great. I felt comfortable with all of the contractors in my home even if I wasn't there. Nick was one in a million to work with!
Future Project with ADS - Within a year or two I am going to replace my kitchen floor. I will absolutely contact them to do it.
Advance Design Studio, Ltd. is fabulous and we loved the! From the entire process and meeting with Nicole and coming up with the plans and designs to meeting Jeff, Justin and the entire team. They were just wonderful and all were very knowledgeable and professional. We will always recommend them to others.
Fears Or Concerns - Initially from the onset, it is an overwhelming experience, and with all the choices that are available it was very daunting. Nicole was extremely helpful and always conducted herself in a professional manner, relieving our anxieties. Pricing was also very important.
Why ADS? - I had a level of faith in them. I was very impressed with their level of expertise. Working with them was a very positive experience. The entire experience from the initial discussion to executing the contract was exceptional and they all acted in a very professional manner and were very thorough in their communications with us.
Exceeding Expectations - The timeline of events was well communicated and was fully adhered to without any delays.
Future Project with ADS - Yes handyman and another bathroom in the futyur
Exceeding Expectations - Our PM, Nick Holm, was amazing. He responded to emails promptly, even after hours. He kept us apprised of the status of our product on a regular basis, and most importantly was kind, friendly and professional.
Future Project with ADS - Yes. We will be remodeling our basement and master bath in the future and will definitely reach out to ADS
Sub-Contractors - Professionalism - The team was at all times very positive and helpful. Any time there were questions or requests, they were dealt with positively every time.
Workmanship - All the materials were of very good quality. Workmanship was also good and where adjustments were needed, the team always worked to improve or fix.
Why ADS? - Seeing examples of ADS projects on social media that looked very nice, incorporating design expertise and inputs to the overall project - being able to visualize the design virtually before committing to a plan/work, knowing Christine personally -- all these were positive factors in choosing ADS.
Exceeding Expectations - (1) The value the designer brought to the process for us - helping reduce choices and come up with suggestions that gave us confidence of making wise decisions and (2) The great customer service from the onsite staff - positive attitude and always taking time to listen and fixing anything that was needed to be done.
Additional Comments - We love our new kitchen and had a very positive experience with ADS. We've already referred to some of our friends and hopefully that will continue a positive cycle for ADS.
Budget Analysis - I liked how everything in the budget process was broken down by materials and labor and that there were two price ranges offered depending on what I chose as far as the quality of the materials. Not only did it allow me to see where my money was going, but it also allowed me to determine if there were any facets of the project that I might want to hold off on in order to save money. Based on the budget information, I was able to decide to do the full project rather than delay any portions.
Drawings - The quality of the design drawings allowed me to make quicker decisions because I was able to visualize the final product.
Needs And Desires - My designer, Michelle, had a thorough understanding of the changes that I was looking to make in my kitchen space. I appreciated that she didn't just simply implement my requests; if there was something that she thought could be improved upon, she didn't hesitate to offer it as an alternative. For each design element, she offered multiple choices. In most cases, I selected from the choices she offered, in other cases, I was able to take her design suggestions and find something similar that I liked better.
Communication - Michelle was very responsive during the design process. In between design meetings, we communicated through either text or e-mail. If I was trying to make a decision on materials, she provided me with samples. She streamlined the design process so that it was not overwhelming.
Project Manager Communication - Justin was very responsive to phone calls, texts, and e-mails throughout the project.
Fears Or Concerns - Because of the online reviews that were available on Advance Design Studio, I did not have any concerns going into the project. A company doesn't have those excellent online reviews without providing superior service.
Why Us 2.0 - Excellent online reviews.
Exceeding Expectations - I was very impressed with ADS's commitment to customer satisfaction. I felt very confident that they would do whatever they need to in order to make sure that I was happy with the final product. This same attitude is shared by the sub-contractors that were onsite. It is very evident that the sub-contractors value their partnership with ADS.
Service Excellence 2.0 - Josh was not only a great carpenter, but I enjoyed having him working at my house. He was great at communicating what he would be working on each day and always asked if I had any questions. Scott (RYNO) was extremely helpful and patient when I was selecting the stain color for my floor. Justin was instrumental in figuring out how to get all of the mechanicals that ran through the kitchen soffits rerouted so the soffits could be eliminated. He also made a significant design change when he suggested to Michelle that a valance be added over the kitchen sink and a wall extended to the right of the kitchen sink so a cabinet could be added.
Next Project 2.0 - Yes - A Screened In Porch In 2021
Why Us 2.0 - ADS was proactive in providing details about f the project.
Exceeding Expectations - The final project was exactly what they promised.
Service Excellence 2.0 - It was great working with everyone on Ryan’s team but Todd was exceptional. He was always on time and always working. He got to know my style and selected door knobs that were my style. Also, Adam and I can’t recall the mans name that mainly did the outside door painting and one other guy who was constant in the project. They were all ver courteous to my family and did top notch work. The sub-contractors were nice as well.
Fears Or Concerns - We weren't quite sure how to visualize the whole thing. Several other contractors we received bids from didn't show us the vision. They simply told us that the cabinet designer or whoever would do that later. it was nice to have somebody who could tie it all together before we committed.
Why Us 2.0 - ADS was referred to us. We received three bids total and they were right in the middle. However there were miles apart from the other two. They were professional, timely, reasonable, and most importantly helped us with the design process before we committed to anything. I would highly recommend them.
Exceeding Expectations - Yes. The design portion. As I mentioned other contractors did not focus on this or did not even have software to do so. Also they did not have designers in house.
Service Excellence 2.0 - Ryan and Adam for sure.
Next Project 2.0 - Absolutely
Why Us 2.0 - Comfortable with prior work done at previous residence
Exceeding Expectations - Project Manager was much more communicative and thorough than anticipated
Service Excellence 2.0 - Scott and Ed both were great to work with.
Next Project 2.0 - Yes
Why Us 2.0 - We liked the proposal that Todd showed us and we had neighbors that were happy with their work.
Exceeding Expectations - They took ownership of everything along the way and responded quickly to concerns.
Why Us 2.0 - As I said above, our experience with previous projects was the deciding factor.
Exceeding Expectations - The instruction book Advance Design puts together is similar to a "routing" in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent tool to employ when multiple employees and sub contractors are involved in completing the engagement. They had simpler versions of this approach in earlier projects but I was very impressed at how much further they had developed this technique since our last experience.
Service Excellence 2.0 - Everyone was conscientious and cooperative. Jason, R C, Bob (the plumber), Kevin (the electrician) and the Roy's (the tile guys) all made positive impressions and contributions. There were a couple of adverse mishaps but they were resolved promptly and satisfactorily..
Next Project 2.0 - Handyman services for sure and, perhaps, some additional electrical work later this year or next year.
Definitely! We hope to use you again for our master bathroom.
Project Manager Communication - Justin was very responsive and a great problem solver! He was awesome and helped problem solve when necessary and provide creative solutions to issues as they arose

Service Excellence 2.0 - It's hard to mention just one name as I truly had a wonderful experience with everyone. Claudia's designs were amazing! She listened to what I wanted and incorporated it beautifully. I great big thank you to Jason Johnson who answered all my questions, responded to every e-mail and followed through with every step on this project. Due to their efforts; my kitchen looks incredible!
Next Project 2.0 - Absolutely!
Why Us 2.0 - Previous sunroom project was done by ADS and we were very happy with the results.
Exceeding Expectations - Michelle’s designs and help picking out materials exceeded our expectations. We have received so many compliments on our kitchen and she deserves the credit for taking our ideas and creating the amazing results.
Service Excellence 2.0 - Our project manager, Nick, was so easy to work with. He was courteous and professional at all times. Nick communicated who and when workers were expected and it was appreciated. The transition from DJ to Nick was seamless. Sergio was also professional and did excellent work while being very considerate of our household. Roy and his father did beautiful tile work and were always willing to answer questions.
We feel they completely explained the process. We love the end result. We will absolutely use them again in the future.
Fears Or Concerns - Our main fear was having to deal with all the subcontractors. They made it easy for us because the General Manager handled everything.
Why Us 2.0 - Michelle was phenomenal with explaining and giving us details to make us feel comfortable. The whole process was easy.
Exceeding Expectations - Working with Michelle was fantastic. She gave us such a perfect picture of what we were going to end up with. Matt's workmanship was beyond awesome. He was constantly trying to make sure we were happy and content.
Service Excellence 2.0 - Working with Michelle was fantastic. She gave us such a perfect picture of what we were going to end up with. Matt's workmanship was beyond awesome. He was constantly trying to make sure we were happy and content. Matt kept us in the loop constantly.
Next Project 2.0 - I will absolutely consider them for a future project.
