Smiley Renovations has been doing Design/Build projects for over two decades. So have a lot of other companies. You want to know what makes Smiley Renovations different and unique? Who is Smiley Renovations and why should you choose us? Over these two plus past decades we have made a study of every aspect of the Design/Build business process. During this time we continually tweaked our business processes. While changing and improving along the way we also reached one very important understanding which we believe has become our greatest accomplishment.
By creating a culture of people who all hold and appreciate the core company values, we have created a successful and consistent client experience.
We truly believe that being an outstanding Design/ Build company means providing quality designs with true craftsmanship, while placing the clients satisfaction above all else. Smiley Renovations LLC has non existent communication, poor workmanship, and they pay no attention to detail.
I Hired Smiley 2 years ago to complete a first floor renovation which they said would take 3 months. Of course with supply chain issues I assumed it would take longer and was patient with them. They eventually stopped all communication with me and abandoned the contract.

We’ve already referred Smiley to two couples for their renovations. In our view the best choice if you want to keep to a pre-agreed schedule and budget. Someone was at our site every day working and they scheduled their sub contractors seamlessly. The outcome is to a high standard and we really relied on their design team to guide the process. We didn’t have a clear view of what we wanted so they provided a lot of direction. We are very happy with the final product.

Areas For Improvement - The one tiling sub-contractor. I didn't even have to say anything about it though because the Smileys foreman took one look and immediately called the sub contractor and told him to get it back.

Areas Of Satisfaction - My house flooded, and Smiley Renovations (Daren Smith) did everything necessary to make it new again. They moved the furniture out to a container, ripped out the flooring and sub flooring, checked for mold, and replaced the sub flooring and installed new tile and carpet. Then when it was all done they moved the furniture back inside. All of this was done without my presence because we live in Florida. Then they installed a new A/C system. I really feel like Smiley Renovations saved my house and I don't know what I would have done without Daren.

Areas Of Satisfaction - We had known up front that there would have to be some "adjustments" once the foundation was actually exposed (they were rebuilding a wraparound porch) and in all cases the proposed solutions were intelligent, even elegant in a couple of places; the extra costs were made clear and were reasonable. We are completely happy with our "return," both physically and aesthetically.

Professional & Organized - There was some degree of confusion about documtation at the end of the process. However, they were going through a number of staff changes during our project, and Daren was upfront about the gaps in his records. At the end of the day, all discrepencies were resolved fairly.

Budget - At the end of the project, we went over budget by less than 1%.
Problem Resolution
Problem Resolution - Daren is very hands on and in a number of instances, he showed up at the site to address issues. He is a great problem solver and non-confrontational.
Trust
Trust - One year after the project, Smiley showed up to address a few minor issues that had surfaced. They take pride in their work and stand by the workmanship.
