Eang Renovations

The owner, a culinary artist and frequent dinner party host, sought to expand and improve the layout, ergonomics and access to his kitchen, a focal point for entertaining upwards of 100 guests. Aesthetics were equally important; our client wanted updated and enhanced surfaces and finishes to soften and distinguish the working and serving areas. He also asked for a total bathroom "makeover" that would bring space, texture, color and warmth to the room. New kitchen designs for circulation and layout were created to achieve a balance of conveniences for everyday use with accommodations for serving large groups efficiently. By adding a bar and separate serving area , the warmth of solid mahogany countertops and reeded glass cabinet inserts, and the drama of a massive copper ventilation hood, this kitchen was transformed into the versatile workplace and expressive social center its owner desired. Master bathroom surfaces and fixtures were upgraded. A frameless glass wall to enclose the shower and mahogany-paneled, marble-topped tub and cabinets were designed and crafted. Warm pastels accent the textures and furnishings. The new environment is a harmony of lightness with depth.
