They came, they measured, consulted and gave us choices. On the day of the build, they came, they measured, they built, they cleaned and they left without a trace. I love the work these guys do. Not your typical contractor. These guys are on time, they communicate with the owner and they show true craftsmanship. The quality of design and work done is an art. Thank you Vitaly and crew. It seems that they gave themselves extra time in the contract and that's why we chose them. But the job was still not completed on time.

Sales person, Gary was great however after deal and deposit was made it seems the team that finished the project was not very informative and organized. Once the windows were installed, there was no follow up as to how we liked them, any issues, etc. Windows are great and sales person great, they could just improve on their Customer Service.

I think that they did too many home shows at once. They had too many orders at once. They were too unorganized to get things done in a timely manner. I felt like I got pushed to the back burner because I had a smaller project. I feel like I was just a filler job for them.

My overall impression is very favorable due to Robert and Jacob the installers. They both were courteous, thoughtful, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to makes sure I was satisfied. They also cleaned up everyday to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the job site.

The gentlemen that were here did an excellent job and I was very pleased with it. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I love my new bathroom.

Custom Development of California did coordinate very effectively. There were some delays regarding a cabinet ordered from the East coast due to unforeseen weather conditions, but we just adjusted the schedule and everything fell nicely into place.

Even though the price is good they may want to look at other things.

I'm very satisfied with the product I got, as well as with the subcontractor and the job he did. I love my bathroom very much, but I just wasn't happy with the people I contracted with originally.

The job was initially scheduled to start around September 10, 2017, but got pushed back to October 10 (the project manager had gone missing or... something? no one would or could tell me why I couldn't contact him), then it got further pushed to the 24th (the cabinet supplier was having trouble with their supply chain, because of the hurricane in Texas), and wasn't completed until about the end of the week on the 27th. During this whole time I was having real trouble communicating with Custom Development, because I preferred to do so through e-mail. The guy in charge of my project (who I was never really able to pin down whether he worked for CDI or was a contractor) apparently didn't want to use e-mail, and despite several (3 or 4) trips in person to the office, the Project Manager never did get in touch with me to address concerns prior to the project actually starting. I did finally manage to pin the General Manager down and he started keeping me appraised of what was going on (like with the cabinet thing), which is laudable but seems like something he shouldn't have had to do. Because it took so many delays and because I was having such a hard time contacting the PM, I asked for a discount, and the GM agreed to knock 300 off the price.During the installation process I had some reservations about how they were doing things. For example, they knew they were going to paint the walls, so I figured they would do so after tearing out the old stuff, but before installing the new cabinets, floors, and toilets. That way you don't have to worry about dripping on the new things. Not how they did it, painting happened almost last, and as a result when I take the lid off my toilet I can still see the old paint. I had to remind the installers that a side panel was missing from the cabinet, and I discovered that the cabinet they'd ordered for the upstairs bathroom was significantly narrower than the one they had measured to replace. When I talked to the project manager about it (although he never would send me an e-mail, he did drop by in person a couple times during the work days) he promised to look into some shelves to extend it out, or failing that they were going to get a free standing linen thing for the large gap between the toilet and cabinet.I waited for weeks for him to contact me (pretty much all of November, I was busy myself), before finally sending a follow up e-mail to the General Manager asking about it on December 4th. A couple days later the Project Manager showed up and offered to knock a further 300 off the price so I could buy something to fill the extra gap myself, which I didn't feel like arguing about at that point so I accepted the deal.I probably should not have. By early January, barely a month and some change after having the work done, things were falling apart. The cabinets which took so much effort to get and I was told were good quality, the panels on the side and bottom front were falling off. I don't know if they just didn't glue it on right or if they were supposed to be nailed, or what. The corner near the bottom where the panels meet exposes the non-finished tip of one or the other panel (I actually asked about this during install and the guy said it was just the way it was designed, "High Quality" my foot!). One of the toilets they installed had started to tilt, and both of them seem to have been improperly sealed or caulked, as they had started to leak at the base (maybe the wax ring wasn't set right?). The spring door stops I asked them to install fell off like, the next day, and I think when they re-hung the doors they didn't put the doorknobs back on right (as now they are loose and rattle). The paint job lasted a little bit longer, but by June 2018 it had started to bubble and peel.I had to hire a guy to make fixes, I must emphasise again, barely more than a month after the project was officially closed. I don't trust Custom Development to respond quickly or well, so I didn't bother trying to complain to them directly. I would say the quality of their work is not consistant with the high price they charge. Even after the 600 dollar discount for the troubles, the renovation still cost about 7,000, for a tiny half-bathroom (replace cabinet, replace toilet with one I purchased, hang medicine cabinet I purchased, repaint walls, remove vinyl floor tiles and put in ceramic tile including baseboards, install minor fixtures including a tp hanger and doorstop) and the non-wet area of a main bathroom (replace cabinet, replace toilet with one I purchased, hang medicine cabinet I purchased, repaint walls + minor retexturing in some places, remove vinyl floor tiles and put in ceramic tile including baseboards, install minor fixtures including two towel bars, a robe hook and a doorstop). For that price, the work should last longer than a couple months!

Custom Development of California did a great job on our recent kitchen renovation and remodel. It came in on budget and on time, and turned out better than we could have hoped for. The workmen were skilled and detail oriented, prompt, and always left the work area clean and ready for the next days work. Custom Development of California stands behind their work too. We had a pesky materials issue that they worked diligently to resolve to our complete satisfaction. Thank you for a job very well done!
