I had a major issue at the cottage which needed to be fixed as soon as possible. I contacted Kawartha Lakes Construction and they responded quickly and an appointment was arranged. Geoff was extremely knowledgeable and professional at our first meeting. He explained how the process would work in detail and ensured that he would send a daily update with photos when the work began. Upon completion of the work, there was a hiccup that arose. I contacted Geoff and the problem was addressed immediately. He couldn't have been more professional. I would highly recommend Kawartha Lakes Construction.
This has been a challenging year for the trades so we weren't surprised that there were a few glitches in our project. Nonetheless, the team came through for us and we are pleased with the stability of our "perched on a steep hill" cottage addition.

They were thoroughly professional and willing to work within my design parameters. They did not recommend unnecessary work. One year later, I can say that I am still extremely satisfied with our new kitchen. A minor fix was attended to promptly at no charge.
Over the past few years Kawartha Lakes Construction has done a number of smaller jobs for us. Each time we are impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. We shall be using them again.

I would definitely recommend because of the workmanship and finished product. But I would warn that the project will probably not be completed on time or on budget.

Overall Likes & Dislikes - This was our first time completing a renovation. We appreciated the multiple designs and the time spent by the team meeting with us to review our goals, costs, and expectations. At the end of the design process we feel that we have the right design for us that meets our needs and goals.

Additional Comments - Building our cottage was a dream we had for many years before sitting down with KLC to begin the process. Over the two years spent designing and building the cottage KLC worked very hard to educate us and to ensure that all of the details came together in a final product that will be a part of our family for many years to come. We appreciated that they understood how important the project was to us.Working with a builder that could develop the design and budget and be responsible for the full construction was exactly what we wanted and we think the design build capability was part of what made for a final product that we are very happy with.Thank you to Garry, John and the entire team at KLC for making our cottage dream a reality.
