Fred's Best

If you’re one of the many who wonder who Fred is, here’s the answer.

When our company was founded in Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2004, it was called Fredericksburg’s Best Windows, Doors and Siding. Over time two things happened:

1) We began doing more work farther north in Fairfax and Prince William counties;

2) Our customers, vendors and employees alike began using the shorthand expression “Fred’s Best” to refer to us.

When the company’s headquarters moved to Vienna, Virginia in 2009, much thought was given to creating a new company name that reflected our new home but that would still be recognizable by our large existing customer base.

After considering many suggestions, ownership decided the obvious answer was right in front of them, and so Fred’s Best, LLC was born.

The character of Fred was chosen because he expresses our commitment to old-fashioned friendly customer service. While he’s not very high-tech looking, Fred is the perfect reflection of the knowledgeable, trustworthy folks who will visit your home from our company to answer your questions, provide an exact cost quote, and install your beautiful new windows, doors or siding.

What is this?

We display two types of written homeowner feedback on GuildQuality member profile pages: Comments and Reviews.

Comments

In response to our customer satisfaction surveys, homeowners share lots of comments about construction quality, communication, or any other question asked in the survey. Guildmembers can selectively publish these comments here on their profile page.

Reviews

Reviews are different than comments. These are star ratings that homeowners ask us to publish, and they come with a written description of the type of experience they had working with their contractor. We publish all of the reviews we receive: positive and negative alike.

Our tile contractor installed tile over his with a hardwood stained bullnose and backsplash.  He went with an 1/8" grout line and used epoxy grout.  It looks great!
What kind of siding should I install? Hardie Board, or Vinyl with foam backing?
