Forde Windows and Remodeling, Northbrook, IL, has been providing architectural design and construction services since 1985. We are a Chicago North Shore remodeling company, but we provide services throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. We are proud of the many awards we have won, including awards for historic replacement windows in Chicago, IL. But we are prouder still of the relationships we have with our residential and commercial customers, who trust us for our ability to listen, our professional expertise, our integrity, and our reliability. I was not aware of the number of my original wooden frames/edging that were broken until crew wrapped up. The frames were hidden by blinds. The crew should have replaced the cracked frames or at least told me about them rather than using nails and caulk to hide the breaks. Therefore, I cannot recommend...

Forde Windows and Remodeling have done Roof, Windows, Two Bathrooms, a kitchen, Living Room and some smaller projects for us. We are very happy with the work and as far as value for money and professionalism are concerned they are 5 star.

We used Forde Windows to add a room over some open loft space and their work made the addition appear seemless and their subcontractors were top notch. Everyday our home was kept in more than livable condition and clean. Very happy with the results.

Forde did a very nice job, from recommendation and selection of product, through installation, and in making corrections on manufacturer errors. We are pleased with our selection of them for this work.

Oftentimes the attic is the place to start.  Make sure you have plenty of ventilation, both intake and exhaust.  Check the soffit cavity to make sure you it isn't clogged with insulation.  There are f ... read more
