In early 2010, Tuckahoe Creek was one of only 6 local firms honored with the Guildmaster Designation by GuildQuality and was the only such firm honored with Highest Distinction in the Richmond market. We have been honored to receive the Guildmaster with Distinction award every year since from GuildQuality. He is married with three grown children. Laurie Stettinius has been married to Gray for over 30 years and is an officer of Tuckahoe Creek Construction. She has been actively employed with the company since 2004, but has been closely involved with its growth and development since 1990. She has a degree in Information Systems from The University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. She is responsible for the majority of the back office functions of the company, primarily accounts payable, payroll and marketing. She also assists with client communication and product selection.

Our Sub-Contractor and Vendor Partners: Tuckahoe Creek Construction could not reliably deliver our product and service to our clients as advertised without the support and collaboration of all the many trade partners with whom we have cultivated relationships over the last 25+ years. Some of our partners have been with us the entire time, and others are relatively new members to our team. Regardless, old or new, they all understand what we expect from a product and process standpoint, and know that we are constantly striving to raise the bar and expect the same from them. We value their expertise, and are pleased to be able to offer their talents to our clients.

What is this?

We display two types of written homeowner feedback on GuildQuality member profile pages: Comments and Reviews.

Comments

In response to our customer satisfaction surveys, homeowners share lots of comments about construction quality, communication, or any other question asked in the survey. Guildmembers can selectively publish these comments here on their profile page.

Reviews

Reviews are different than comments. These are star ratings that homeowners ask us to publish, and they come with a written description of the type of experience they had working with their contractor. We publish all of the reviews we receive: positive and negative alike.

Answers from contractors near Richmond, VA

I have trim boards to install that will cap over exposed block foundation. What ways should I attach these? They will be primed and painted when installed.

You can also use Tapcon masonry screws.  Pre drill. Countersink if you want to hide screw heads with wood filler or Bondo.
What kind of siding should I install? Hardie Board, or Vinyl with foam backing?

I think you really need to see both on a home and decide what looks better to you.  Vinyl will be cheaper and is a more modular system and less prone to leakage and installation errors.
