Felt like I spent $85 to have a salesman come to my house, was very vague as to the cause of the ongoing issue in my house (2 cold radiators). Offered to try bleeding the radiators for $539! Had to ask him if he had oiled the motors for the heating.

We have a 1300 sq ft brick ranch style house we are slowly remodeling. I would like to add a front porch with open gable roof with exposed stained beams.

Lisa,  A project like this can range in cost.  A Good starting point for front porches can be around $115/square foot. 
What causes large gaps between window frames and the brick of my home? It looks like someone tried to caulk it previously, but it just pulled away again.
