Although it took much longer to restore my home after a smoky fire, I want to acknowledge Shawn Allinson and his team. Shawn took over and resolved all issues required. He and his team were skilled and industrious. My thanks to all of them. I must mention that Stephanie and Shane were particularly helpful.
I didn't like the way things were handled by the project manager and Penny, the receptionist.
The crew performing the work were wonderful. They were highly skilled and professional and courteous. The work they did was done extremely well and I have no issue with them. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Management however is another story. My house was damaged on 11/02/14 and the Mellon supervisor was at my home on 11/05/14. Our contract was signed in 12/2014 but work did not even start until 03/2015 although our contract had a 01/2015 completion date. Even after work was begun I had to repeatedly call and finally threaten to have my insurance company find a new contractor to have the work completed. The shed was replaced with a significantly smaller one and the windows replaced are of lesser quality than the ones that were damaged. The work was finally completed on 04/06/15, 5 months after the incident and our initial contact with Mellon.
David did a great job installing my front entry door and storm door. There was an issue with the entry door and he made sure that it was resolved quickly. He has excellent communication skills and discussed the job in detail before the work was performed.
Overall good quality of work and satisfied for my cost. Communication within departs (sales - installers) could have been improved.
Every aspect of my experience with Kieffer's was handled professionally.
Serviceman was honest and explained how we could do it ourselves. Estimated cost to repair furnace was $1200, we did it ourselves for $70!
