In order for shingles to sit and form properly, it should be at least 36 degrees fahrenheit (2.2 celsius) outside when laying shingles.

What kind of insulation is needed in the attic of my 2-story brick town house so that the 2nd floor bedrooms are as cool as the basement and 1st floor?

Insulation may not be the only thing you need.  It is also important to have air flow through the attic.  this is best accomplished by eave or soffit venting and ridgevent. According to most building ... read more
