In 2002, Tim Shimek and his wife Renee ventured out to found their own company, Glowing Hearth & Home, where they would change the fireplace industry in their own way, by creating an innovative, intimate retail experience and treating builders and contractors to the best working relationships in the business. By ensuring that their sales staff members are experts in the industry who know what questions to ask rather than being pushy, Glowing Hearth has created an intimate atmosphere where customers feel comfortable. Another important tool is that Glowing Hearth & Home installed example rooms in each store that show customers what’s possible from fireplaces to surrounds and mantels to stonework and accessories. These examples make it easy to visualize how the new fireplace of your dreams will look in your home. Glowing Hearth doesn’t stop at the end of a sale.
