In 1996, Jim Daech began a construction company with his friend, Mike Bauer. Jim had a college degree in finance and experience working for a major insurance company in claims and Mike had the knowledge necessary for building and remodeling homes working for various contractors while working his way through college. Soon, Jim and Mike began focusing on roofing as the market was severely lacking professional roofing companies. Mike left in 2006 to become a police officer, leaving the business in Jim’s hands. Jim ran a successful business dedicated to customer service and “doing the job right” with high quality materials and installation. In 2015, brothers Bud Jacob and Scott Jacob acquired Daech & Bauer. Bud and Scott run the day to day operation with over 50 years combined industry experience and Jim serves in an advisory role as a board member utilizing his 17 years in the roofing industry and financial expertise. They all three have ownership in the company. Daech & Bauer is now part of Jaocb Family Enterprises, Inc. and specializes in residential and commercial roofs, roof repairs and insulation. The combined strengths of the owners, employees and business partners make it one of the premier roofing companies in the St. Louis area.

The roof and gutters turned out pertains on schedule. This was an insurance claim and the company worked with the insurance company to negotiate several thousand more in repairs.

Its taken nearly 5 months since the first contact to finally get the last of the projects done. They wanted me to pay for the parts when they were done instead of waiting for the full project to be done. It would sometimes take weeks to get responses to my emails. They are trying to charge me interests...

Daech & Bauer Roofing is a reliable company. The work crews are professional and their workmanship is excellent. Ryan Steiner did an excellent job addressing any concerns we had in a timely manner. The scheduler, Natalie Marsh worked well with us on scheduling work crews.

Daech & Bauer’s roofing crew were exceptional in every way. Our roof had several issues: old sunlight and cupola I wanted removed and roofed over. The roof was a combination shingle and flat which were redone expertly by the roofing crew. Our property was left cleaner then before the job started....

Hi Connie, You have condensation on your new windows.  This is common with new windows that are air sealing your home better than the old ones.  It also means you have humidity in the air in your home ... read more
