Carpentry by Chris is a residential remodeling design-build company established in Iowa City in 2001. We are a full service company which has established a reputation for providing quality work and quality partnering. We are a member of the Iowa City Home Builders Association and the Better Business Bureau. Chris is certified in Green Building and is an Aging in Place Specialist. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our clients through the design-build remodeling processes that solve functional needs as well as aesthetic desires.

I cannot recommend Chris and his team enough! We were very impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of every employee and sub-contractor that came into our house. It was a superb experience and we plan to use Chris and his team for future projects.

I have a screened in porch that I wish I used more. I was thinking about glassing it in and was wondering what my best option would be?

It also depends on how high off the ground you are. Be aware that (at least in Wisconsin) if you are more than 24" above ground to the floor of the room, you can't use a vinyl product like PGT Eze-Bre ... read more
