Not sure exact date of completion but was in spring/early summer of 2022. Contract signed on 2/02/2022. Were told we could get a sealant put on our roof. Signed contract. Sometime after 3 day right of refusal was up, got a call that our roof needed to be replaced and could not be sealed. Cost of $25-30,000 rather than the $11,000 of the sealant. We accused them of bait and switch, as we could not pursue other options, estimates, etc. Answer was "I can see how you would feel that way". A couple of days later, got a call that we could actually get reseal. Part of the job was to nail down and replace loose shingles. Were told that previous roofer used inappropriate nails. Licensed roofer disputed that claim and provided information regarding that statement. Called recently because shingles were loose and some actually had flown off. Have waited 6 weeks for someone to nail down loose shingles. Waiting for "team" to discuss, sick child, other customers with active leaks, etc etc. Receive no communication unless initiated by us.

I was please with part of the job, but not all of the job. The crew was very nice, but the weather worked against them. Due to the extreme heat the week of the installation the caulking around the siding was awful.

They were very thorough and they did their best to analyze my problem and find the best solution. They also gave me various options to choose from which was nice.

I was most satisfied with the sales to construction and Sonny's ability to sell his product. This was one of the smoothest jobs I've ever had.

They were highly recommended at the time we signed our contract. Somewhere along the line, that got very overwhelmed with work, or not knowing how to run a company. They were very unorganized. They knew how to take my money, but not coordinate my project. There were no problems with craftsmanship, just with time management.

The project started on time and completed quickly.

When I first contacted Guardian, they were very, very quick in coming out. But when they were supposed to start, I had called back 2-3 times. When they did show up, some of the members started, but then another guy came in and finished. The individual who supposedly knew what he was doing was not qualified. I had to redo the gutters at extra expense. The job took over two and half months since the initial down payment. There was always a delay. I would not recommend Guardian.

Value - I think we received a fair value for our money, though we never got a second estimate on our roof. When we tell people how much it cost people say "Oohh, that was a lot of money," but I think we got a high quality roof for the money. They also did some other repair work on the eaves.

They went and took a look at our roof and eaves and told us what they thought we needed, such as vents in the eaves to help the attic stay cooler. They showed us what a roof should be and why. They were also very helpful when we were picking the color of the roof.
