The local staff was awesome to work with. They did a great job of communicating with us to help keep our home build on track and moving forward. It was refreshing for us to have someone go above and beyond to make sure we were well informed and taken care of. Good job AHP!
I would tell anyone looking to at least reach out to you and have conversations
Great communication and quick work! We love our new house
Yes 100%
The contractors hired by America’s Home Place are subpar and the project manager. Eric did not know what he was doing and let things go that needed to be fixed or were not done correctly to begin with. They made me sign for my house before it was livable. We had no hot water and no heat when they had a sign in April. It is August and I’ve had their contractor for air-conditioning out here twice and I’ve been sitting here for three days without air-conditioning and 105° weather I am told it could be sometime next week till they can replace or fix the air-conditioning that they installed. We are seniors and the heat is hurting us.
A few examples of their incompetence:
They installed exterior double doors going from the primary bedroom into the primary bathroom, a full 72 inch doorway that had to be fixed and replaced
They were provided with instruction manuals and all the details for a high-end stove I was going to have installed in the house and they still didn’t wire it correctly and later had to put an intake vent in the hallway going up the stairs to remain fresh air for the exhaust fan and install a larger vent in the roof. It looks horrible snd amaturist.
We kept telling Eric that they had not patched the nail holes in a section of our roof and he ignored us several times till one day during a heavy rain storm our roof leaked into the ceiling so much we had to put a bucket in.
We asked for and paid for a pot filler their contractor installed a pot filler so high from the pot. It’s unusable unless you want to spray water all over the stove top.
When we picked out the materials for this house, the sales person sent us pictures and confirmation of everything that we picked out. When the tile people came and put the backsplash in the kitchen, it was a completely different tile. I spoke with Eric and pointed that out. He said that I signed the paperwork, even though the salesman put the wrong order number by the picture of the tile I ordered it was therefore my fault and I had to pay to have that re-tiled which I did.
We paid for a half bath to be upstairs in the game room his plumber, who by the way, left liquor bottles empty at our house plumbed the sewer pipe going down into the primary bedroom. What did Eric do? He had them just box it in. The house is trash because of Eric’s lack of ability.
So many other things that they did wrong, and I have kept track of those and will be sending them directly to America’s Homeplace.
Best expierence I have had and I have had three homes built.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with the Franklin AHP team. Everyone was amazing fom the beginning. The team went above and beyond to ensure I got what I wanted. The attention to detail was phenomenal. Plus, everyone was incredibly nice and professional. I'm so glad I went with AHP to build my house.
I have already recommended America's Home Place.
Quality build, fare price
The people and the process. Bailey and David were great to work with and kept us in the loop on everything all the way through the project.
America's Home Place was very nice and helpful throughout the whole process.
Everyone has been very knowledgeable, courteous, and informative. This made for a smooth building process from start to finish.
Our building process was very stressful. AHP did not accurately estimate the site work costs, or the actual height of the crawl space needed, nor did they accurately assess the slope and drainage requirements at the home site so that our budget was accurate. This led to our budget going way over to be able to complete the project due the increased grading and foundation costs. Additionally, the two graders that AHP used/recommended caused us major problems and our grading and gutter work turned out to be a mess. We spent tens of thousands of dollars on grading work that failed and did not stay secure in the weather and 4 months after moving in we still have gutters that do not flow and backup at the foundation due to extremely poor quality gutter drain installation. During the build AHP left the full burden of dealing with the grader on us and did not step in to help when the work done failed. The grading situation caused us and continues to cause us enourmous stress, we lost thousands of dollars and still have a mess of a property that continues to get further destroyed in every rain storm due to the terrible quality work of the grader(s).
Timely build for project.
Really enjoyed working with the AHP folks + process.
We would highly recommend AHP as the whole process from start to finish was done with professionalism, great communication & follow through, and a genuine desire to see us happy with the home we were building. AHP was not just selling a product, and you could feel that in all of our interactions.
The staff at the local AHP have been oustanding and the building manager was a constant advocate for our build
I liked the way project manager reached out whenever an issue occurred
Fantastic service and true customer care.
Friendly staff, very reliable, quick response time. I had a great overall experience with America's Home Place.
The house was built in 3 months. I love everything about it. I especially love my kitchen with the navy blue cabinets. My walk-in closet is a 10.
I love the wraparound porch and I was so impressed with the mailbox and the door bell and the weather vane on the roof.
AHP was a pleasure to work with, from the moment we walked into the Sales office, until the day we got the keys to our new home. Everyone involved in building our dream home was professional, pleasant, attentive and a pleasure to work with . We had concerns about building our dream home, but the entire process went smoothly.
My wife and I enjoyed setting down with the staff that listened to the vision of the home that we had in mind.
Yes. I feel it was the easiest process as I have built a home before. The turn around time was amazing.
I would recommend people check out the house layouts and speak with the company. Overall we are satisfied with the home we built. We were told 5 month and it took 7 due to some mistakes on their end that cost time. When looking at the floor plans take your time and don’t be rushed into locking into one. Look at every detail because they aren’t that helpful with going through the flow of things. The interior design phase is fun but gets overwhelming. Take breaks if you need to so that each decision is fresh. They do charge you $200 to make any changes after the start so make sure you are happy before that.
