The house was built in 3 months. I love everything about it. I especially love my kitchen with the navy blue cabinets. My walk-in closet is a 10.
I love the wraparound porch and I was so impressed with the mailbox and the door bell and the weather vane on the roof.
AHP was a pleasure to work with, from the moment we walked into the Sales office, until the day we got the keys to our new home. Everyone involved in building our dream home was professional, pleasant, attentive and a pleasure to work with . We had concerns about building our dream home, but the entire process went smoothly.
My wife and I enjoyed setting down with the staff that listened to the vision of the home that we had in mind.
Yes. I feel it was the easiest process as I have built a home before. The turn around time was amazing.
I would recommend people check out the house layouts and speak with the company. Overall we are satisfied with the home we built. We were told 5 month and it took 7 due to some mistakes on their end that cost time. When looking at the floor plans take your time and don’t be rushed into locking into one. Look at every detail because they aren’t that helpful with going through the flow of things. The interior design phase is fun but gets overwhelming. Take breaks if you need to so that each decision is fresh. They do charge you $200 to make any changes after the start so make sure you are happy before that.
The easiness of the initial interaction allows for the customer to feel more in control of what is happening. The thoughtfulness of the employees from start to finish leaves you with little questions to ask.
The whole process was painless and seemed very well put together. Our sales rep was easily reachable by telephone or email. A very simple way to build.
Everyone was extremely helpful when it came to the build process. You could always get in touch with someone in the office with any concerns. Our project manager Aaron was absolutely amazing. He definitely went above and beyond. Extremely personable and really cared about our family.
We loved the house plan options and that we had the opportunity to tweak it to our liking.
Very likely
Quality of construction. Slab in the house is un-level, LVP floor gives a lot when you walk on it and feels cheap. Front porch is cracked right in front of the door. Front posts block the view of the front door. Master tile shower opening is crooked and makes the glass door not close properly.
We have already recommended AHP to two different parties and will continue to recommend to anyone else we hear is looking to build.
They were not pushy. Everyone involved seemed very knowledgeable.
The entire staff was amazing from start to finish. Our project manager Austin was very detailed and no nonsense when it came to making sure the build was on point.
The level of customer service, speed of the build, and overall interaction with America's Home Place was fantastic.
As far as overall attention, getting associated with and meeting the company in Kentucky was very pleasant and professional. They had model homes to look through and walk through, which was really good. The timelines and deadlines were also handled well.
The only negative thing I have to say about America’s Home Place is the coordination and communication in the field once construction started. The communication between the on-site manager and us—I would rate it a 2. I was very disappointed in how they kept us up to date with what was going on.
The cost to quality of work and customer service was sad
Everyone at the Johnson City TN office was absolutley fantastic.
Already recommended to 2/3 people !
It's a good company, but I had some issues.
I always recommend Americas Home Place to anyone looking to build a home. They have been a pleasure to work with.
We chose Americas Home Place because they took care of everything from beginning to end. I did not have to worry about permits, scheduling, or material availability. They are a one stop shop for building your home.
Communication, efficiency with build, had a process for staying on time and under budget.
The building process was much more stressful than necessary. I felt the need to check on the worksite to ensure the land was not being filled with trash and trees damaged we were trying to preserve. My husband and I personally collected trash from the site on several occasions to make sure the issue would not get worse.
Can’t get things fixed in a timely fashion and want me and my wife take more time off of work your sub contractors won’t work on your customers schedule
America's Home Place is top notch. It's the only home builder I would ever recommend.
Overall experience was smooth as can be. They guide you through the process, making it easy to understand. The finished product (my home) is outstanding.
Overall my experience was good, we had an awesome project Manager (Doug Smith) that was very communicative through the initial build phase and throughout construction. We had a few issues in the end but this was more sub contractor related issues revolving around workmanship and reliability.
When it comes to the actual building process just a little more communication between the home owners and lead contractors.
Too many things were not working upon move in (septic system, HVAC, stove) and too many finishing quality issues. I loved the people that I worked with, but these are too important qualityareas for me to fully recommend AHP to others.
We have had a very positive experience building our home with America's Home Place. While building a home always comes with challenges, the people made the difference. Scott Gochenour, our Project Manager, has been exceptional throughout the process. His communication, professionalism, and commitment to doing things the right way gave us confidence from start to finish. We would gladly recommend America's Home Place to friends and family.
I would refer friends or family to Americas Home Place solely based off of my experience with the staff at the Florence SC office. Our project manager Scott was great to work with also. The only issue I have had has been with the general manager David. He is an ******* and only worried about money. I would also make sure whoever I refer to know to double check the cleanliness of the house before moving in. After moving in, we found the top of the cabinets were never cleaned and had materials from the installation process left behind. Under/behind the stove there was debris left. Thankfully our house has not caught fire from the debris left behind!! The ac drain leaks onto the concrete where our back door is. STUPID IDEA to have it drain there. Well, after a bad experience with David we don’t even want any help from AHP going forward. We will fix it ourselves. Also make sure to have a FULL in depth description of the land improvements!
Good experience, Chad did a great job helping the build go smoothly!
We couldn’t be happier with the process and the professionalism of americas home place. Especially with our PM Clay Perry, he was awesome to work with and we’re already in the process of recommending my parents to build with him.
Scott’s willingness to work with me on changing the plan to meet our needs and Carlos‘s hands on approach throughout the process.
Our interactions with AHP Sales staff and our PM were excellent. The house was completed in a timely manner and a bit under budget. We are generally very satisfied with the final product. The home building process with AHP was simple, straight forward, and took much of the worry/stress out of the building process for our new home.
The construction management team had outstanding communication skills and follow through, they were an exceptional team to work with and still are. George, Kayla, Brighton are absolutely some of the most experienced, positive, enjoyable people we’ve ever worked with. They have outstanding integrity and we were thrilled with our building experience overall!
We had basement issues and framing issues.
America's Home Place was easy to work with and very responsive to requests.
The Hattiesburg office is frequently dishonest and often incompetent. After a 2 year home build with countless delays, failed inspections, and sloppy building from start to finish, I would recommend literally any other home builder.
Highly recommend for various reasons. We found AHP before we even purchased a lot to build on. Our initial communications with their Internal Team were exceptional; follow up, suggestions and flexibility to talk since we were located in Chicago. We were "Sold" immediately after our first meeting.
Project manager (Skip) was phenomenal from start to finish!
Great experience overall from beginning to end
Easiest process I’ve ever experienced with building a home. Kirk kept me in the loop very well.
America' s Home Place is the Best Place to get the house of your dreams.
Americas home place was great to work with. They had great communication and we knew what was going on every step of the way.
When anyone ask me about my new home I recommend America's Home Place.
I am one of the few that seeks value while at the same time wants to make some choices. The vast majority can only afford the "cookie cutter house". The very few want to dictate every corner of it. When I encounter someone that has means and is value consious, I am going to recommend this builder.
The quality of the workmanship was excellent. It’s a beautiful house!
I won’t be recommending AHP, though I also have no intention of dissuading people from using them. Some of our problems I do think were unique to our circumstances and others may not have the same problems. However, they were definitely frustrating for us to deal with and rooted in poor planning. The process was not something I want to recommend to someone I know and be tied to a bad experience for them.
