Purchased our lot in Wilshire Estates October 2020, went through design and had pre construction meeting/closing early January 2021. Construction began in March and was given a completion date of June - July, but it was difficult to predict due to supply issues. Our previous house was sold and contingent on us being out by July 31st. Mark McNaughton and his team, managed by Tom Schneider came through for us and we were able to settle on July 29th because of their efforts. There were some punch list items that needed addressed, but as of 11/10/21 all have been taken care of to our satisfaction, most were due to supply delays. After more than 3 months in the house there have been no construction issues, in fact I applaud the good job they did in constructing our home. I found both Mark and Tom reasonable and professional. I definitely recommend this builder and I would give this a five star review, except for the design process.

During design we had to pay extra close attention to each item in the agreement of sale and the addendums and we suggest that extra attention needs to be employed during this process. Pleased to say, that with the extra attention on our part, we did end up with the design we wanted (almost). One last suggestion is to make sure everything regarding design is in writing and is understood.

Also, after advising Mark McNaughton of my review he reached out to be to get specifics regarding the design process in order to improve.

We are so pleased with the entire building process that we have told all our friends and relatives of the positive experience. This is always a huge undertaking and one that we’ll appreciate for years to come. We not only built a home but fulfilled a dream.

Gene, our foreman was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process, as was the entire office staff. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Seeing all the final details done and Gene taking care of every little knick and going over everything with us in great detail and giving us great tips really showed us how well mcnaughton treats their customers!

Schedule - The told us to anticipate 4-6 months from ground breaking until occupancy. We moved in at almost exactly 5 months - one week earlier than their first quoted completion date.

Construction Quality - We had some relatively minor issues with the flooring and deck. McNaughton saw that all of them were taken care of.The tile work is excellent!

We are really impressed with our house and how smoothly the entire process went.

I built my home over 9 years ago and still love every part of it. The build quality of a home should be your number 1 priority and McNaughton Homes is top notch. I would build another home over and over again with McNaughton. Not only do I live in a McNaughton home but I also sell them!

Additional Comments - Our home is 9 years old now and the quality of the original construction is very visible, little to no settling, dry basement, roof is still in exelent condition, no cracks in the driveway, all the rain gutters remain working without leaks, windows are still tight and energy efficient. Simply very happy with our selection

Additional Comments - Overall we were pleased with the service, the quality and willingness to accommodate our requests. With any project there will be little issues here and there which were resolved. I do believe the grass could be of better quality. It is lacking the lushness and thickness it should have. A high quality neighborhood pays attention to the smallest detail which is a reflection on the developer.
