We did not initially wish to post a review, but it has been requested with such insistence that we feel the need to oblige. Though the colors and the designs of the rooms match our original plan, nothing else went according to plan. From floods to poorly applied joint, toilets that needed to be replaced, damaged piece, and holes in the tilling... We do not feel that our project was treated with respect, particularly when it came to our concerns and requests that things be re-done. Additionally, the great many things that needed to be re-done were not re-done in a satisfactory manner. The manager was absent more days than he was present, and the workers were not given adequate directions. As always, there are things that were done very well, and things that were done poorly. However, things that were done poorly are unfortunately quite more numerous than things that were done well...

In general, the renovation was completed in a professional and timely manner. Employees were dependable and courteous. Problems that arose, including one unreliable subcontractor, were resolved quickly. Dave was willing to discuss ideas and find lower cost alternatives. I would recommend that if you have strong preferences for a product or design, you clearly state those and have them implemented as you wish. I have yet to call about the limited number of punchlist items, but expect them to be completed without problem. I would use Bennington Builders again for similar work.

We have hired Bennington Builders twice now. In both instances their work quality and performance was superb. We highly recommend Dave Bennington and his team.

While renovating my condo, they kept dust and dirt to minimum. At the end of each work day, they neatly stored their tools and the construction materials. Dave and his crew did an excellent job of correcting a prior contractor and the original builder’s shoddy work.He has vendors with whom he has long-term, established relationships. The granite counter, flooring, carpeting, and plumbing fixture vendors that Dave recommended provided excellent service and high quality products. Dave only charged me for time and materials. Instead of charging a contractor’s markup, Dave arranged for me to pay the vendors directly.Dave has keen eye for design. With his guidance, I selected high quality, attractive granite counters, plumbing fixtures, bathroom lighting fixtures, laminate flooring, and carpeting.Dave and his crew did an excellent job of repainting the living room, stairway wall, foyer, dining room, kitchen, and bathrooms, repairing walls and ceilings, and installing shower tile.
