Make sure you get a quote for the cost of the services first, we were never given a quote. When we asked for that they put it off. They never followed through with insurance company protocol.

We are still getting calls from them about the remainder of a bill that should have been taken care of by insurance. It's a mix-up between them and the insurance. It took them several weeks to do what should have been done in approximately a week.

Puro Clean was in touch with us very shortly after I placed a call to my insurance company. They were prompt and courteous and I was happy to see their work ethic. Something that is quite lacking in today's world. Our flooded basement was dried out and carpet was installed in a timely manner. They even moved heavy furniture that we were unable to move ourselves.

After the fire in my house, my insurance company sent me the people at PuroClean. The beginning cleaning crew were good at getting things started. I thought things would of been a little better cleaned but then was told this was just the pre-construction clean and that there would be a post-construction clean. During their clean up, my drain in my basement backed up, so I had to have a plumber come out and told the next crew (construction) not to use the indoor plumbing. Also, a worker was working in the attic and fell through the living room ceiling.The construction crew came in and did their part. I was told multiple times that everything was done, to go out to my house and check things out and sign the COS form but things were not satisfactory. First, they rushed the painting as the old color bled through and the color was orange instead of a beige. There was a gash in the wall from the firefighters putting holes in the ceiling, that I was told they normally don't patch holes. The living room ceiling was not smooth and needed more mud. The ceiling fan was not put up right, one of the blades were bent due to the fall, and the chain would not pull out to change fan speeds; I was told their team doesn't use chains they turn things off at the switch, I don't have a switch, it can only be turned on and off with the chain. I have plaster walls and they used a staple gun multiple times when the staples wouldn't go in the plaster which left gouges in the wall and the staples that did go in they left in the wall. When my grandmother died I got her old coffee table that they stuck a nail in the side and it was still there sticking out about an inch and a half. There were bare foot prints on top of my pellet stove, that they had no business standing on. They set things that were full of dirt or soot on my mattress and left marks. The bathroom, where the fire was contained, the ceiling had peeling and a hand-sized mark that bled through. There is a new exhaust fan but no light bulb in it so I don't know if it works. The new floor was not caulked to the tub. The toilet was missing one of the side caps that cover the floor screws. The pull down attic stairs were busted. The attic floor was pieced together with warped wood and there is no wood right at the top of the stairs where you would sit to hand down boxes. The exhaust fan was not vented out, which is code. Some how my refrigerator has a new dent and black smudges on the lower left corner but the company is trying to say it was there. There was a chunk of drywall stuck in the drain of my kitchen sink which made me go down and check my basement drain. And yep, basement was flooded again with milky white water from their clean up. There were cigarette butts all over my porch. When the plumber came back out I had to pay $350 to have the drains jetted. Then, we flushed the toilet... and... it poured in my basement. The next day the construction crew came out and put clear silicone goop around the toilet drain pipe under the floor down in the basement...it was a joke, because it still poured when you flushed the toilet. The head guy of the construction crew came out to fix it next. Ok, no more leak but he didn't recaulk around the toilet and he sent me a picture of the refrigerator that was supposedly taken at the beginning that shows the dent was there. The construction guy then passed the caulking and toilet caps on to the cleaning guy who came back for the post clean and he pointed out things that were still not right and so I have still not signed off on the COS that I am satisfied. Also, the cleaning guy said the refrigerator dent wasn't there when he cleaned it the first time and showed me all my pictures and the date they were taken over a month ago but one of the refrigerator pics was "modified" 5 days ago. Last I spoke with anyone from the company was the cleaning guy who was going to talk to his boss but that was 3 days ago and I haven't heard back from him since even though I have left messages. AND my house is filthy. I am a single mom with three kids and three dogs who just wants to go home; it has been over 5 weeks.
Additional Comments - Everyone from PuroClean than I have encountered has been extremely professional and friendly. Those qualities are very helpful as they work with their clients in stressful situations!!!
