They don't meet deadlines, and make excuses regarding follow-up.
We wouldn't recommend them because their work quality is extremely sloppy.
It is up to the company to post my comments publicly, but I want to remain anonymous. The communication was poor. There were a lot of mistakes made. I am very dissatisfied. My picknick table was smashed, and it was not replaced. I have a closet door that still needs to be changed. Granite tops were installed that I did not consent to.
I was unsatisfied with the work performed by the initial crew. I had to fire the crew twice due to the lack of workmanship not being done right the first time.
There have been many, many things that have been positive. There are a few things that have been negative. So, I am not sure I can confidently recommend this builder moving forward.
They treated me very good and do great work.
Their service is great, they have high quality materials, and they have a lot of choices. I had zero complaints. They were excellent!
The communication is very poor. There were major corners cut prior and after close of the home. Our home flooded due to faulty plumbing after two weeks of moving in. It's been three weeks and nothing has been resolved. During the build of home a worker ran into the home with a vehicle - that resulted in bricks coming off the home and steel plates shifting above the garage; in which none of this was disclosed to us. Also, during the construction of the home animals were allowed into the home after the carpet had been laid. The entire home interior was painted the wrong color. Manuel Builders would not release any inspection reports that were done on the home to us. The punchlist items were never completed
Communication was extremely poor throughout the entire build. Our PM, Aaron, was dismissive about many of the concerns we are now encountering post-closing that we were told were not important. We just expected more from a company with an excellent reputation like Manuel Builders.
The experience has possibly changed since October. My realtor and I had difficulty getting in touch with anyone at Manuel Builders and on the day of the contract meeting, I felt rushed to make decisions.
Courteous and professional
I’m new to the area but the homes I did see I definitely would pick the Manuel floor plans.
Know what you are getting into. If you like to be involved in the build then they aren’t for you. If you like to sit back and let it take its course then they are ok.
They have terrible customer service.
We were able to pick our lot, plan, and personalize our forever home. Manuel builders was great throughout the entire experience and managed to keep our closing date despite COVID interruptions and multiple hurricanes. Upon moving in, anything that needed to be fixed was taken care of in a timely and professional manner. We are in love with our home and recommend them to anyone who asks. Both my mother and brother are currently building homes through Manuel as well now!
Manuel Builders provides great designed and quality homes that set them apart. You get a great home for a great price.
Late closing, not enough communications on major repairs needed
Very helpful in every aspect of our build. Loved the check list they gave us before we signed any contracts.
I would recommend them for building a home.
So far so good. There are a few things they have to come back for. I have to wait. There is one concern. I am worried about my siding on the and if we get some bad winds. I'm not touching it either, cause it is under warranty. It is on the west side of my house. They came back for like a punch list. They were supposed to fix it, but it's still undoing again. I am kinda concerned it's going to really be bad because it is Hurricane season coming. If there is any wind that can grab that, it is going to do some major damage. The way they left it is not proper. It is under warranty and I am not touching it. I am concerned that it's going to domino. I don't want to call them because they told me if I call them for anything they are only coming one time. It a one-year warranty and they only come one time in the year. I am just concerned about that. It is okay with me. I am not touching it, because it is under warranty. I am not upset, but I am worried about it. They did come and fix it, but they still did not fix it right for the second time. I am not complaining. I am just worried.
We are very pleased with Manuel Builders.
Manuel Builders does quality work. That's why I chose them to build my house. I did my research and looked at several different builders, but the quality for the price just couldn't compare. They guided me through all of the steps from getting my custom plans prepared, to picking out flooring, cabinets, paint colors, granite and everything. I've had houses built before, but Manuel Builders made the process much easier and stress free.
Not only would I recommend Manuel Builders to a friend, but they can certainly build my next house...
Time of production took to long. Someone would show up to work on the home about once every other week.
Manuel Builders planning team was amazing but as far as their builders it was a horrible experience.
90% satisfied with quality of home.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Manuel Builders as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
