Favorite Features - The quality workmanship, quality materials and the exposed brick archways as we walked in the front door.
I recommended them twice, and I was supposed to get a 500 check each time. However, I only got paid for one of the recommendations. I don't know why they didn't hold up their end of the deal.
Our build foreman was really helpful and easy to work with. He kept us informed every step of the way. Build was completed ahead of schedule.
I really like my house, however, the architect that made the plans did not allow for my closet door to swing inside of the closet. I have a hanging / sliding door. This should have been caught by the team that reviews the plans.
The building process was simple and easy. Our project coordinator handled it well. Once we moved into the home, the warranty claims were pushed off, and it has been a struggle to get in contact with someone in a timely manner since.
Their home warranty is nonexistent.
Terrible communication. Low quality
They do not honor their warranty. I had warranty issues that needed to be addressed, and Manuel Builders never came back to do them.
Not really. The first time we built Johan was the project manager and the process and quality of the home was phenomenal. Very disappointed in the quality the second time around.
The quality and craftsmanship is horrible nothing is straight and a lot of things were sloppy
They did a great job building or home. Just never heard back if would or did get refunded for awnings and landscaping.
Build quality is outstanding. Our home has higher end finishes than others in the same pricepoint in our neighborhood. During the walkthrough/inspection process, Stephan ensured everything went super smooth.
My ceiling in master bedroom is cracked and Ican see the float tape. Manuel send 2 young girls to fix the ceiling. Within 2 weeks I could see th crack. Manuel said it was no longer under warranty.
The overall experience was nice. All builds have issues and they understood when we noticed issues.
We had a lot of issues that weren't resolved in a timely manner.
From “designer” who was rude and incapable from our first encounter to bricklayers who had to redo our brick arch three times and left one outside wall wavy like the ocean to cement people who did a terrible job to poor communication from project manager to workers to designer who made a gross error on our front doorway entrance to “carpenters” being off a foot and a half on some things! And this is only the short list of errors. Contact us for the whole list if you dare. Needless to say our experience was not a great one.
Favorite Memory or Feature - My favorite feature in my new home is the wood work. We have really nice custom wooden beams in the kitchen area.
Even though we had our ups and downs with Manuel Builders. I believe they built us a well built house, that we will enjoy for a long time.
They're a pretty good company and they take care of problems when they arise. I have been pleased with them.
I would recommend Manuel Builders to all my friends because of the great work and the awesome caring workers are always available to answer any questions.
Favorite Features - Interior design and exterior design location
You have to constantly follow up on work completed. I don’t know if this is a problem with all builder’s but it is certainly a problem for Manuel’s. It is impossible to speak with the owner about concerns.
They have been helpful.
I highly recommend them. My second house is from them, and they did a good job on both
NEVER, too many mess ups and I am sharing my experience with any one that wants to know.
Process was easy and all my questions were answered and no details were left out.
Painters don’t know what texture is. Sheet rock is terrible. Was left with little to no paint to touch up with. Can’t fit my truck in the garage. Fiberglass in showers are dented. Terrible experience.
It was definitely a challenging year for builders as well as homeowners but in the end Manuel Builders lived up to the commitment/contract.
I would not recommend them to a friend. My house is still not finished. I've been living here for two months.
The painting in certain areas is not good, and I feel it could be better.
Manuel Builders was very easy to work with and upfront about all costs. They were very kind and trustworthy.
Would not recommend. Work not done on timely basis. Poor communication about status on house. Supervisor fired because he wasn’t doing his job. Someone from upper management should have been involved sooner to handle problems. Closing date kept changing. Our house was not clean when we moved in. Still waiting for a reply on a request through portal.
I’ve had problems since I moved in. Light switch plates missing, outlets that do not work, broken garage door, gaps in laminate flooring, hollow tiles, creaking/movement in floor near front door , uneven backsplash tiles, grout stuck in corners, etc.
Favorite Features - The quality of the homes, how friendly and easy the builder was to work with, and the willingness to make us totally happy with our new home.
Manuel Builders was very professional, very timely, and provided a lot of communication. The hurricane had just passed and we were homeless and Manuel Builders, unlike anyone else, was willing to sign a contract with us to get us a home in a very tough time of our lives and I will forever be grateful to Manuel Builders.
The only bad thing I had was when I first went in. The first lady that drew up our plans was not as helpful as I expected.
I definitely recommend them for the turn key factor. We had a good experience,
This house is a lemon. Carpeting and laminate pulled out of of the family room, hallway, and 2 bedrooms.
The stress of building comes with any contractor. Manuel made this build as simple as possible in my opinion.
There were several instances where I had to express concerns to the owners. The work done on my home was sub-par. When we moved in, we had to caulk the shower door because water was escaping from the shower. We still have cracks in the sheetrock in the garage, and the concrete has already cracked (literally in 4 squares) in the garage. The paint is a joke. We are still finding areas that were not fully painted on the cabinets in the kitchen and the the master bathroom. We are still getting paint spatters off of the flooring because the floors were not covered when the home was painted. Our home was supposed to be completed in July; however, we did not move in until September! Subcontractors were using the bathrooms in the home and leaving feces in the toilets! From the beginning, I informed the first project manager that the window sash in my dining room needed attention. He shrugged it off. When we moved in and the window company finally sent a representative, it was noted that 3 other windows needed to be adjusted. The window above my tub needed to be addressed also. I just feel like we were (1) put on the back-burner because of the lack of work that would (or rather would not) take place on our property (2) if they did do work, it was sloppy and often times had to be redone (3) given the most inexperienced subcontractors or day workers (4) not taken seriously when we had issues or concerns. There were time when I literally would cry when we would pull up to our home
While I am 90% happy with my home the subcontractors they have utilized in parts of the home, specifically painting and plumbing, have been less than stellar.
I have owned the house for two months, and there are problems that still are not fixed.
Poor communication. Poor project management. Project not completed in a timely manner.
I would recommend Manuel Builder's because of the ease of the process. From our building consultant (Wendy Ritz), our design coordinator (Toni Hebert), and especially our project manager (Jason Duplichain) were all great! The house that was built is beautiful and we get compliments all the time.
I already did. Natascha and Keefe Carney. The building process was easy and stress free. I just wish that things on the punch list were completed and completed the correct way. I found it a little difficult to have issues fixed/addressed and have them fixed the correct way.
They had excellent service and the people were knowledgeable and just super!
Paint job and sheetrock are awful. Patch jobs didn't hold and need to be repair. Nearly every appliance is giving me issues. When I put in for work orders the people sent out basically tell me I don't know what I am talking about and those things are normal, when I know they are not. I have a window that was broken between my final walk through and me signing the papers and it still is cracked and hasn't been repaired.
As a single women that has never built a home, I would highly recommend Manuel builders for their guidance and ease in acquiring a home.
We had a very good experience. They worked with us and were amazing. Everything was to perfection. I'd like to give the biggest kudos to our project manager Brad Anderson. He was the best. This is the second home I've had built with them. My first experience with them was good and the second experience was even better.
Very easy to work with throughout the building process. End product meets our expectations.
