From start to finish, working with Cantey was a pleasure.
They are prompt and they do the work they state they are going to do but we are just having a lot of water issues right now. Nothing is working well.
Cantey Foundation Specialists had awesome service.
Cantey Foundation came highly recommended. I had three previous company's come out and they couldn't solve the problem that Cantey solved in one business day. The job site was left clean and they seemed to really care about their customers.
They were on time and did what they were suppose to do.
They had great customer service and did very good, quality work.
I was pleased with the work and I hope it works out for me in the future. I enjoyed their presence and they did a grat job.
Always great service and excellent work.
I would recommend Cantey Foundation Specialists because they were on time and finished when they said they would.
Worked with us after we had a problem
Our consultation with Shane was great! He was very informative, helpful, and transparent. The crew that came out to install our drain and smart pump were also very professional and ensured we had a quality install.
Everything went well. They weren't able to get all the slope out of the floors because of the potential damage that may have been done to the interior walls. That was the only negative.
I really was very happy with the quality of the job, but I was not thrilled with the price.
All in all, Cantey has been good to work with. I will say this, however, I feel like there is always something that needs to be done each year when the annual inspection is done. Granted, I want to make sure my home does not ever have moisture or foundation issues. I cannot help but feel I am often being “sold” something.
It was quality workmanship!
The crew of men who came to our house were professional, pleasant and knowledgeable.
We originally contracted to have some support pillars replaced (underlying dirt was being washed away) and steel beam supports installed in our crawl space as well as having a French Drain installed across the back and one side of our house. The first person we dealt with (Ed Vanosdol) checked the crawl space and drew up a plan as to where the new supports would go and also where the French Drain would run and prepared a contract to cover the cost of the entire project. That contract was signed on Feb. 21, 2020 The French Drain was installed on March 12, but the fellows who did the work on site suggested extending it further down the side of the house to be sure it didn't interfere with neighbor's drainage. That added $950 dollars onto the cost of the project. Some time went by and we were contacted by Cantey that the original plan drawn up was not satisfactory as per city inspectors (I presume in order to get a city permit) and a new person came out (Trey Dukes), did the crawl space inspection and drew up another contract that increased the cost of the project by a few thousand dollars. I was told that there would have to be additional digging out of the dirt underlying the supports and CMU piers would be added. I was informed that the previous fellow we worked with us had quit. I signed a new contract on May 20 for $6,100. More time went by and I finally learned that Cantey would not be able to do the job after consulting with their Engineers because Cantey could not construct the retaining walls. I asked for more details about the issue and was referred to Joe Piper, who said he'd have their engineer contact me the next week, but it took another phone call to get the engineer to contact me. What I gleaned from the engineer was that Cantey did not have the expertise to safely execute construction of the retaining walls, so couldn't install the piers. I had to call the Cantey office about a refund of my deposit and, once again, the office said it didn't have the authority on that and that they would talk to whoever did. I did get my deposit back. While this was going on, I had other communications with the Cantey office seeking information about the project and was told they couldn't respond to my requests, but that they would talk to someone and have that person respond. I did not hear from anyone via these communications. All in all, I do not have much faith in Cantey's ability to see a project through. From miscommunications to on site changes to contract changes to time delays and just not getting reliable, consistent info, the whole experience has been disheartening. I was told one thing by the initial inspection of my crawl space, told another by the second, and ultimately learned whatever was being proposed was undoable by Cantey. It seems to me that anyone assessing the underside of a house and drawing up a contact based on that ought to have the knowledge necessary to know if it were feasible or not as well as have the basic knowledge of city permitting to know if it meets basic code.
They were very professional and kept me well informed

GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Cantey Foundation Specialists as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
