AHP built the house on time, for the agreed-upon price, at the best possible quality for the price. I and my family watched carefully during the entire process and we were always impressed with the skill and execution displayed by the builder teams who worked on the house. We would recommend AHP to anyone building a home in this day and age. Their corporate practices contain cost, use good quality materials and workmanship. They meet their project deadlines and achieve a great result!
We love that AHP has a lot of layout options to choose from. We also appreciated being able to see an in-progress home during our purchase process. However, the overall build process took twice as long as expected, and many of the mistakes/delays seemed to be avoidable. We learned that having the right project manager overseeing the construction project and strong subcontractors were key in keeping things moving.
More training with those folks who coordinate building on your own land that is rural. It's different than building in an area that has utilities available. Coordination of soil scientist, grader, and builder could have been done better. It caused a nearly two month last start on the build.
Amy was incredibly with helping modify their plans to come up with a design that worked for us. She listened to our request and applied that to her redesign. It took several tries but she never complained. You will be very happy with their desire to make your house YOUR perfect (nearly perfect - nothing in life is perfect) HOME. Make sure you are honest in what you want to achieve. She can't design your thoughts without knowing what the ultimate goal is. We were very raw and open about what we wanted the final result to be: open concept, large kitchen island, floors that last, lots of sunlight, den/carolina room with lots of sun, and office/bedroom for the wife that also serves as a yoga/meditation/reading getaway room They NAILED it.
They lacked quality control at each stage of the build and subcontracted everybody out without any oversight.
The patience, and understanding that the company provided from start to end.
We will definitely recommend America's Home Place to our friends and family!
I recommend America’sHome Place to everyone looking to build a new house.
The Anderson office in which we were forced to deal with due to our home build and property being in Pickens County, is lacking project management experience to build upscale homes in a quality process.
America’s Home Place went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the design and the additional features I requested. I am not their typical customer, so they definitely had to accommodate me in a few ways.
Very accommodating service.
They provided clarity about pricing from the beginning, provided a great looking home, and listened to and served us well! I would do this again!
We were very satisfied with Americas Home Place and would recommend them to anyone interested in building a custom home.
We were waiting over 16 months for them to begin then we were told we couldn't put the house on our land but apparently we could after ore deal. Paperwork was completed wrong and we had to pay out $24,000 to even get the house...I don't recommend anyone working with the rocky mount office unless you talk to Nelson.
The excellent team in Port Saint Joe did a great job helping us create our dream home.
We already have recommended AHP to several!
I have nothing but good things to say about America's Home Place. They helped me, my wife, and my family, build our dream home.
I have already recommended AHP to several people.
Communication issues and finishing issue.
The entire process was very easy and uneventful.
Clarity about pricing from the beginning, great looking home, listening and serving us well! Would do this again!]
The Gainesville GA Team was incredible. Knowlegable, Patient, Supportive, and had an incredible attention to detail both during and after the build.
Overall, we are satisfied the house and the experience of building with America's Home Place. This was our first experience with building a new house. As always, any first-time purchase there are always things later that you wish you would have ask about. Chris at America's home Place was very helpful with this as he would ask us a lot of questions, trying to get us thinking about what we wanted or thought we needed. He was not pushy, and he did not try to convince us into getting more than we wanted.
We had a house built to our specs...without all these extra cost that other builders try to add in. We still came out under budget and couldnt of been happier
We have already recommended them.
