I highly would recommend Americas Home Place!
If you want to build a custom home on a budget, they're a good builder to use.
The office we used in Blairsville, and Danny Dixon as our Project Manager was amazing to work with. The process went very smooth.
All AHP representatives were helpful throughout the build process. Great team work & execution during a difficult home build season due to Covid/shortages of labor & supplies.
There were several ups and downs but we ended up with a good house.
From the time we walked into America’s Home Place in Gainesville, Ga. we received a warm greeting and welcome. Everyone was so nice and offered us something to drink plus some snacks and they even put a bowl of water down for our dog, Dakota. That was really thoughtful.
I am pleased with my house and would recommend America’s Home Place to anyone who is interested in building a house.
Quality of the house was very good a lot of small extras made it very usable and likable
The roof leaks. They put in a dishwasher but did not wire it. There were bare wires under the dishwasher, and it was plugged in. The bare wires were plugged into the outlet. There were bare wires under the fireplace; it was to be wired for a heatilator with a fan. The doors are not hung plumb. The sliding door screen is not correct. All the front porch posts, from the eave of the porch to the ground, are split in half; huge split in the lumber on all the posts. The stairway wall has two by fours that stick out; the wall is bowed because the two by fours are bowed. I pointed this out to the project manager, and he just said they were bowed. You can see this; it is obvious. The home looks beautiful when you drive up. As far as aesthetics, the house is beautiful. Go inside for the craftsmanship, and you sink into dismal holes. We pointed out all of these things in June, and they are still working on everything.
Very Professional Company!!
Overall, we have a beautiful home. However, there were some things that left a "bad taste" in our mouth.
They were very easy to work with.
We have shared our home with other builders and have had trouble getting people to even speak to us. In this building boom, we were able to get a cheaper price with America's Home Place and more square footage.
From start to finish, America's Home Place was extremely communicative, helpful and delivered on all promises and agreements. Everyone walked me through every step in great detail, was very professional, and spent time making sure I was comfortable and understood the process and next steps. The main reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 (I would really rate them at 4.5 stars) are the timeline and quality. I feel the timeline to build is much greater than it needs to be, but to be fair - America's Home Place set the expectations up front on timeline and delivered on their expected timeline. Additionally, more attention to detail and quality. The standard finishes provided are very nice finishes, any problem that I had with something or problem that I brought up was addressed immediately, and the PM worked hard to deliver a quality product. Being in the construction industry myself, I tend to notice a bit more of the quality of installation than some.
I was dissatisfied with the process from the start of the contract to the time after I moved in. The house was not a good purchase.
I love that they completed our home ahead of schedule. Communication between general contractor was amazing. Everything schedule on time so there wasn't alot of waiting for the next step in the process. Everyone I dealt with during the process was very pleasant, professional and great to deal with. Really enjoyed this build with America's Homeplace.
I have mentioned AHP to others already and recommended them should they decide to build.
Heather was wonderful getting us started, she was so helpful in every aspect of the beginning process.
Definitely would recommend. Had a good experience for the majority of the process.
If they use Mr Freeman.
From day 1 till now best people to work with. From design to building. Extremely satisfied with our home.
Would absolutely recommend AHP, specifically the Ashland location. Such a nice group of people that always make time for you. They made us feel like we mattered and not just a number.
I contracted America's Home Place to build my new home in October 2022. Moved in June 2023.
8 months of horror.
The one person you could count on seeing ever week, was the guy emptying the Porta jon....
They did a good job and had excellent options without having to pay extra. Overall a good all in one builder that has stood behind their work after the fact.
From my first contact with Brent and signing a contract to receiving keys to my new home from my builder Lance was amazing. The entire team was efficient, professional and the most caring group of people! I had lost my home to a fire and they were so attentive to all my needs and questions. I am beyond satisfied with my experience!
