Project manager should have been more involved with home owner and better inspections.
America's Home Place has a team of staff committed to delivering family's their dream homes. Our project manager (Gerry) treated our home build as if it was his home, paying attention to details we identified, and also calling out things to consider. The convenience of having America's Home Place (Gerry) coordinate every aspect is why we recommend AHP to others.
The finished product is very good but the stress increased significantly while having to constantly micromanage to make sure the finished product was good. If we had more oversight on plans it would have been really helpful. We understand the sub contractors do their end of the job, but ultimately that falls back on the project manager and attention to detail. We would definitely recommend but we would also say you need to be on top of your PM. When mistakes are made, negotiating to split or trying to convince us it was ok was something that was unsettling. We understand we have a lot lore land than your average customer but you need to do your homework because we paid $21k out of pocket within 24 hours because the electric company was threatening to cut off our power. Stuff like that is why we can’t give five stars but also still respect and love the finished product.
Due to the issues that arises and continue to have not satisfied
No hesitation to say yes. Move all the walls, take a call, recommend a contractor for projects after the build, stay after hours, find products not on option list or showroom (five panel doors), fix issues. There was no hesitation to talk, schedule, or fix anything we mentioned.
The level of interaction was excellent.
I will recommend America’s Home Place to anyone looking to build a home. If I had to do it over again I would make the same choice too.
We watched the entire process. The sub contractors (immigrants) didn't care. They were always in a rush, left trash all over the yard and inside the house, had to redo things multiple times, put cigarettes out on the wood floor once it was installed, and left alcohol (beer cans) on the property several times. They didn't wear safety equipment, EVER, and they had their kids working on things as well.
Speedy completion without sacrificing quality
The customer service level was amazing. The teams attention to detail and professionalism was outstanding.
They did a great job.
We really liked the fact that you did not nickle and dime us to death like other companies had that we talked to. We felt like you wanted to build the best custom house for us.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They have vast experience with home building and work diligently to understand your wants and needs. They are creative and innovative to make your dream home a reality.
The process and experience was highly personalized. The contractor cares about quality and providing 5 star service.
They were very professional. Always available. Pleasure to work with
We love our new home and would definitely recommend AHP in fact, our friends in Ohio just built with AHP based on our experience and seeing our home.
Value of the home, option, multiple floorplans, and option for turnkey package would all be recommendable.
I have already recommended them to my sister-in-law.
It was an easy and enjoyable process.
Everything was super easy from start to finish. AHP stood behind every decision, craftsmanship and sub-contractor.
Overall it was a great experience. One the build was started, they were very attentive and moved quickly, as we had a tight personal timeline. They were responsive with any issues we brought up once we moved in.
Shawna and the whole team were excellent from beginning to end of our build. Always there to answer questions and fix any issues we might have had which were not many.
Building our home with America’s Home Place was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. From the very first meeting, we could tell their team truly cared about helping us create the home we could only dream about.
I really love there attention to detail when I told what I was looking for and what I needed.
Just a few things like being told something is code then find out it’s not code. Didn’t like paying for a specific size bonus room, then finding out it’s 100 square feet smaller. Had to argue to get our granite fixed the way we wanted it fixed. Our front porch stairs still have not been stained as promised. Had to argue to get our fireplace fixed the way it was supposed to be made in the first place, and it still isn’t the one we picked out, but it’s still beautiful. Was not very pleased with the light choices or the granite choices. They need to be updated to today’s style, and it’s very frustrating how so very much more an upgrade is.
The entire process from the beginning and until after the build was pleasant, welcoming and inviting.
The transparency and the consistency of communication the Product Manager provided to my wife and I by keeping us abreast on all aspects of the build.
4months no septic installed nor have I heard 1 word from your office about an install date so I took it upon myself to reach out to Meyers land services to figure out what was going on, they then put me on their schedule if I wouldn’t have done that I don’t think itll be installed. Temporary septic sat right at my front door. These guys didn’t even attempt to level it out it holds water forming a horrible smelling “pond” haven’t enjoyed my front porch at all lot of things are unfinished that should have been fixed or done by the project manager unfinished grading around my whole perimeter. Window well TOTALLY unfinished not back filled with dirt nor gravel. Garage door has a 1inch gap around it as well as a complete opening in the framing
It was a pleasure dealing with Devin, Mason, Gracie, & the rest of the team.
Their in-house administrative team was accessible and always answered my questions. They walked us through and held our hand throughout the build process.
I walked into this experience completely unsure of what to do but never felt lost or out of place in a way the team couldn’t help with.
I had enormous difficulty with the location manager here, who was obnoxious and belligerent. I was asking difficult questions, and he felt he did not have to answer my questions. When we came to the final meeting, he could not answer questions within the contract. My location manager does not need to be in the position he is in, because he does not know how to be with people or know the company's processes.
I like the sit down meetings and everything was gone over. Changes was made right then and prices adjusted.
Seamless process. No pressure. Genuine people.
pricing was a big decision in choosing Americas Home Place
Great staff. Very friendly and always helped as fast as possible!
Corporate has ridiculous prices for upgrades. We made a few changes (third garage, better siding than cheap vinyl, added a bonus room, expanded the master suite. Total additional living space was 599 sq ft. Added a very small back deck, and added the gas fireplace. We were charged $270,100 for the changes. Many of the AHP homes cost this much or leas for an entire home. Price gouging at its best.
This was our second build with America's Home Place, so needless to say that we were beyond satisfied with our first home and the experience. AHP Fayetteville has some real gems that go the extra mile to ensure you get what you want out of your build. The communication from start to finish is top notch; from Addison who was the master mind behind helping us create our masterpiece to the seamless transition to Patrick as the Project Manager who is an actual expert at his job. We always knew what was happening and when, there were never a ton of questions to ask as we were just simply informed. Building a house is a BIG deal, but it is a BIG relief knowing you're in good hands with AHP.
My wife and I recently completed our dream house with Americas Homeplace and we couldn’t be happier.
The building process was easy. I didn’t experience any of the problems I’ve heard say they’ve had with other builders
The sales team and the head contractor, Fredrick, were great. I was not pleased with plumbing and electrical. We are having issues that we are currently working through.
From the sales contact (Greg) to the build Manager (Quinten) the AHP customer facing team was engaged and very knowledgeable on all the questions we had. The number of emails and texts back and forth (And there were hundreds) about capabilities, prices, time lines, and other relative issues all went addressed in pretty short order. This is the first house I've had built so I don't have a frame of comparison but I'd build with AHP again. Also, as we were building on a property that already had a residence on it there was much I had to do with coordinating things like septic inspections, other utilities, and general integration issues. I feel like I got good direction on what to ask for and on what timelines.
This is our 3rd build with Ahp. Great job team Franklin
I had a great experience. I would tell others they can trust your company to built their home.
Our build was our first new build.
Every step of the process went smoothly. Any concerns we had were addressed quickly and resolved. We’ve recommended AHP to several people.
Team overall was awesome
I've already recommended several people, but one of them is building a house now.
House design and knowledge and helpful sales staff. Addison is fantastic
The communication needs much help. The quality of the workmanship of some of your sub contracts was really not that great.
Too many mishaps accrued during the build
