In my mind, it's all about communication. Van Metre does a good job of keeping you in the loop all throughout the process, from the sales, to design, construction and follow-up. Everything wasn't perfect, but constant communication resolved matters to our satisfaction.
The Van Metre team is awesome.
The entire process was amazing. The Van Metre team (the sales team - Nikkea, David; the construction team, particularly Chase, and team at the design center, etc.) are extremely responsive, professional, friendly, and went out of their way to support us through the process. We have nothing but great things to say about them!
We were supposed to have two walk throughs. The first was supposed to be virtual. They did not do the first walk thorough. He claimed that he had a bad connection, so he couldn't show us the house. We showed ourselves around and we didn't know anything about the construction. The second walk through, we came and they didn't show up. We called them and they had someone come. We pointed out somethings in the back yard - tree trunks, branches, debris, construction materials. They had created a dumping ground just over the property line. The representative said that part is not your property, but to me, we were buying the view too. Bryan said that he would take care of it but they didn't. He was just telling us that so we would sign the final agreement. I've talked to him multiple times trying to work something out but this issue hasn't been resolved. He should have been honest with me that he wouldn't be taking care of this problem.
I would recommend the company Van Metre Homes.
Van Metre has been responsive to our needs. Also their time line was quite accurate.
Overall we are very happy with the entire process. This was our first home purchase so weren’t sure what to expect. Hearing from friends who had issues with their non-VM builds, our experience seemed to go smooth from the start.
We had to spend more for advanced options compared to other builders.
This is the 4th new home (from various builders) I've purchased and the VanMetre process was okay, difficult in some areas. Slow to respond and some building mistakes along the way. The landscaping that was delivered to me the week I closed was a mess with brown spots, dead grass, and a half dead tree - not what I would expect for a $740K home.
I returned to Van Metre because the quality of their homes are excellent.
Finishing touches sub par at settlement.
They were rigid on a few options that did not allow me to customize the way I would have liked.
The quality is not on part with my expectation as a second time home owner.
We are amazed at Van Metre's ability to commit and build to our schedule during Covid19. The quality, communication, service, and follow up were excellent.
I just had a lot of issues with the home and with Van Metre. I understand I purchased it within the time frame of COVID, and I want to give Van Metre the benefit of the doubt that they are being resolved. They're trying to address the issues, but I've just had a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
I am very satisfied!
The house wasn't 100% ready on time, they were still repairing things when we moved in.
We only had a few issues when we moved into our Van Metre Home but all is fine now.
There were some issues with the quality of some of the structural things and the workmanship not being what I expected.
All-around excellent craftsmanship, always early to work, Super friendly and also mindful healthwise
I wanted to recognize my sales associate Ashley Castro. She did a great job.
I like the style home we purchased.
The reason I am giving them a 3 is because it is a brand new home and we need to get settled in before we really know what may be wrong or not. Quite a few of our friends bought homes in the same community, we have all had a major issue with each one of our homes. They did not properly identify the issues on the initial request. They had to come back and re-repair the issue. The kitchen cabinet has an issue where the wood came out of the cabinet and they have refused to repair it. I am concerned with my new home having such issues in such a short time frame. The quality of the construction is not desirable for a $600,000.00 town home and has somewhat hampered my confidence in their abilities.
Van Metre Sales Team was helpful as I started the process of buying a new home. The Design Team member, Megan, was amazing and helpful in helping me select the right color choices for my home.
The whole process was very smooth from the first time we went to look at the neighborhood through today; they came and helped us with something we were having problems with. The whole process was as nice as it could be!
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the oppurtunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Van Metre Homes as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
