I will never recommend Van Metre to anyone, if I hadn't been lied to and tricked into buying this condo unit, I would've looked for another handicap accessible house somewhere else.
All the materials were not good. I see a lot of cracks and bumps on the walls.
I would not recommend them with the experience that I had.
Van Metre Homes does an excellent job at getting the work done. It is not easy to schedule appointments, but once someone is there, they do good work.
The house is well built and well designed but there are some small quality control issues.
1.problem solving issue was not that friendly. . Also, they have very limited days and time to come to fix which is not very flexible for someone working 8 to 5. 2. They are prompt until the day you close the house and then after everything falls apart 3. very disappointed with the landscape 4. worst HOA, Katie wheeler never response and she is the worst, never acknowledges their mistakes.why are we paying money when they don't even have a fob system in the club house. They did not put the mulch in the garden int he winter which Katie had assured us. Also, they did not clean up the snow of the common area, they only did at the model house. They did not consistently cut the grass during summer. We would be glad if you could change the HOA. Current HOA is not worthwhile with the amount of money we pay.

We were extremely delayed and inconvenienced in terms of receiving our new home keys upon closing on our new home. We were not treated well and the issue was not handled professionally. Up to date, we haven't received any formal or verbal apology from Van Metre management regarding the poor customer service provided and unprofessional experienced with Van Metre. We were meant to sign paperwork and go through the closing process with Van Metre but, the process was unprofessionally done and n a haphazard manner. Very poor customer service provided keeping in mind the investment we have put into the home as Van Metre customers. The deputy finance director had to intervene to ensure that we receive our keys very late evening on the day of closing. The entire experience on day of closing with Van Metre was a total nightmare and very unacceptable. We are very much unsatisfied and we wouldn't recommend Van Metre to our family, friends, former neighbors or associates.
Van Metre truly is the best when it comes to home building. Ryan Homes is not even close to the quality of this builder.
The garage is too small they did not consider the car sizes when building these homes.
The quality of drywall and painting is a low standard.
We are not likely to recommend VM to a friend or family member at this time.
I love my new home and location.
There were more than a dozen problems with the house that should have been attended to by the Quality Control people before the walk through by ourselves and our realtor one week before closing. As it was, it was up to us to point them out. Now, one month after move in, there are still some of those problems that have not been fixed and we have now found other things that need fixing as a result of poor workmanship. I shall be send a complete list of things still to be done to Rebecca.
We will have our extended family looking for a similar Condo living arrangement in future. We would gladly recommend Van Metre's Condo's.
The staff at the model home are very helpful.
I am neutral about recommending the company at the time. It all depends if things get resolved after the 1-year warranty.
