Excellent overall experience. A complex and long project that was effectively designed and budgeted up front. Schedule was kept (other than minor weather related delay). Project management team and designer were excellent! Stayed with the project for the duration and were very responsive. Punch list was short and managed in a timely fashion. Highly recommend.

We have used Square Deal for two projects, with a third one coming soon. They are a great company to work with. All of their employees AND subcontractors are prompt and courteous. Each project gets a day-by-day schedule that we put on our refrigerator so all the family members know what to expect on a given day. Square Deal was very good about sticking to the schedule.

SDR exceeded our expectations for our big kitchen remodel! We were repeatedly warned by friends and family members to have a low bar for any home remodel experience - that it's a nightmare, and all contractors/companies are difficult to work with and NEVER stay on schedule. This was NOT true of SDR. They were professional and courteous throughout the whole designing/planning process, and they were clean, timely, responsive and honest throughout the whole remodel process. After a challenging - but totally doable - couple months of living in the house while the remodel happened, we have the kitchen we desperately needed to raise our children here. We are beyond happy with the results and are thankful for our kitchen every day!

Having never done a project of this scale, we really did not know what to expect. Karen and Ed clearly communicated what we could expect and when we could expect it. As we lived in place during the project, the steps taken by the staff to minimize dust and disruption were so very thoughtful and performed as a matter of course. The polite and fun loving staff were always a joy, talented and always responded to our questions. Steve and I both feel so very thrilled with the outcome and how our dreams actually did come true! These folks will be amazing custodians of your home and your dream.

Throughout our project Square Deal continued to say they could be within my stated budget, then came back with much greater numbers. At the end of the project it was clear they had moved on to bigger projects because they did not get back to me in a timely manner, they failed to do a final punch and had no focus on the final details. When I chased them on it I was told to “not hassle them” Square Deal went over on schedule and when a subcontractor showed up without notice I had to send them away because I had a sick child at home. Square Deal called me after, yelled at me about sending away their contractor and charged me a return fee for the contractor. After many attempts to show them this was wrong they never budged on the charges or apologized for their employees unprofessionalism.

Karen Sedwick was very professional in helping to detail what needed tobe done to achieve what I wanted done and followed up to insure quality work.Ed Meinig insured the work was done in a timely, competent manner.The sub contractors were almost without exception of the highest quality.

They are the best people I have every worked with. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

The entire organization is very professional and every one of their craftsmen is skilled, effective and efficient.
