I think they did an outstanding job.
Red Door Homes was great to work with. They were on time, kept in the budget, and were very responsive.
Easy communication, good work, a little behind schedule, but overall we were satisfied and we would choose Red Door Homes as a builder again.
We found the people at Red Door to be honest and straight forward. They helped us stay on top of costs, didn't hide what was included in their base price and what would be an additional work order. If I wanted something that wasn't on their standard list of products, they helped me find it. Our construction manager, John, has stopped by twice during our first year, just to make sure everything is still the way is should be and that we are still happy. This is the second house we built. The first was a nightmare. I love my home and am not planning on building again, but if I did, it would be with Red Door Homes of Knoxville.
They have resolved things 100%.
We really like that they gave us lots of options. We even had ideas and presented them and they worked with us to incorporate them.
Ty Holden is the direct manager, Brad Freber worked with Ty, and John Hoper should all be recognized. They were outstanding.
Sometimes you can go into the store and pick out our stuff, but not see the end results. We picked out the kitchen granite tops and when we stopped by the building site and saw it, it looked so much better in person. It clicks together better than you can imagine. The stuff they show you and the finished product is 3 times better once it is all done.
If you are thinking about building a house, then stop by Red Door Homes and talk to them. They are professional and they do an outstanding job.
Great from the beginning to the end.
Bryon Davis was in communication with us every day.
Can't say how happy we were when they resolved an issue with our ceiling.
They were perfect
Even with bad weather conditions they got the job done.
Spenser was the best.
I can't say anything that I dislike. But, I can say how much I LOVE my home.
Spenser Bryant and Bryon Davis. They both were over and beyond of what I expected.
My Great room... it is gorgeous
If I ever needed to build another home (which I won't) I would go to Red Door again and ask for the same people that helped with our home.
Bryon Davis and Spenser Bryant went above and beyond our expectations
Speed of our build was faster than we anticipated
If you are thinking about building a new home give Reddoor your business
Our kitchen remodel is fantastic. They took a small, dark kitchen and created a bright open one. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished product.
Ty Holden was a fantastic project manager. He was professional, organized and communicative
Red Door met and exceeded all of our expectations
The level of customer service and attentiveness to our family's needs was above and beyond our expectations
We weren't exactly sure what we wanted, but Red Door was able to take our ideas and create our dream kirchen
We will definitely use Red Door again for additional home renovation projects and recommend them highly
I like everything that they did. I don't really dislike anything. The build quality is there, and so is the craftsmanship as far as what they did and the subcontractors.
I would like to recognize Ty Holden for his exceptional service.
They met or exceeded in every area. The craftsmanship and quality were outstanding!
Red Door Homes was great to work with, from the time we first walked into the showroom to the time that everything was closed. They didn't lie about anything and were upfront with pricing about everything from the start.
While our home was under construction we actually had people stop by and look around. I would recommend Red Door Homes and tell them what a great group of people to work with and how reasonable the price was. I'd refer them to the Red Door Homes website.
Over the few months it took to build our home, I talked with Travis, Spencer or DJ several times a week, actually sometimes several times a day. They always answered my questions or requests promptly. Great bunch of guys!!
There is nothing like the smell of a new home! It is wonderful! No problems!
Completely satisfied! We were here at the job-site nearly every day. Watching the construction as the home was being built. Checking every detail of materials and workmanship.
From the first time I visited the Red Door office, everyone was great. Answered all my questions and concerns. Spencer was so helpful and patient with me making selections for our home. And yes, I changed my mind about a million times on several choices, but he was great! And fun to work with.
We are still working on a few items, but Red Door Homes aims to please. Could not ask for a better group of folks to work with.
When I look at this home, inside and out, and compare it with other homes this size, I am convinced we got a great deal on the price and quality.
Spencer is amazing!!! He walked us through all the details of the home, from top to bottom. Answered all our questions.
We love our home. I can't say enough about how happy we are with our Red Door home.
I have to start with Spencer, he took over our project after Travis left. Like I said before, Spencer is amazing! And DJ, our project manager, so great to work with. I called him a million times during the construction. Called and texted. He always returned my calls and was always helpful. Brad - great guy! Helped with all the preliminary planning. Last but not least, Big John! The greatest! He took such good care of us through a few hiccups. He's honest and knows how to treat customers in the best way possible.
Making our home wheelchair accessible. 36" wide doors throughout the home, including exterior doors, ramps at each entrance, rooms large and easy for me to get around in, wide sidewalk from the driveway around to the back patio, lowered the vanity in the master bath, lower mirrors in both bathrooms so I can see myself, thermostat lower on the wall so I can adjust temps, just to name a few.
The guys at Red Door did an amazing job at making our home accessible for me. What I didn't think of to modify, one of them did. This home inside and out is totally wheelchair accessible for me. I couldn't be happier!!!
I can't say enough about working with Red Door Homes to build our home. They were wonderful!!
We already have! A good portion of the building was done long distance. Red door did a great job of keeping us in the loop.
Love Builder Trend. D. J. Constantly posted great pics.
I already have
I would especially like to recognize Bryan Davis, our project manager. He was just the best. He was on top of everything and we really appreciated him. He is there for you and he knew about problems before we brought them up. He helped us with choices, the design of the house, and also the colours. He was just really good and we really appreciated that.
I liked that they were able to work together as a team very well. We talked to one person about something and they all were working together to make a plan for you. If there was a problem they worked together to resolve them. They didn't put the blame on other people, they tried to fix the problems. They are problem solvers and I liked that.
They were perfect!
Hell yes. :) I have already to a Westwood neighbor looking to build a home from the ground up.
I specifically worked with Michael Brummett. He was consistently conscientious about the worksite and keeping it as neat as possible.
Incredibly strong communicators. Michael B and John Harper were clear and concise with their feedback, timelines and budget.
Michael Brummett is hands down a rock star! He was on site practically every day. He "owned" the project by taking responsibility for driving the reno. (I get that its his role - but not everyone can deliver on the promise.) He's incredibly creative, collaborative, open to feedback and he wants the homeowner to be happy. He can problem solve on the building side as well as see the project from the homeowners eyes at the same time. I would recommend him to anyone for a renovation or a ground up build. I completely trust him. He takes pride in his work and truly enjoys people.
Michael, the project manager, was exceptionally responsive, exceptionally diligent, and was thinking ahead on every step. I think he was excellent on this project.
We are very satisfied. They were all incredibly professional and very knowledgeable. Their contractors were also very professional.
Have already discussed satisfaction with several folks.
Absolutely! I already have. I'm proud of my new home.
Both my wife and I wrote reviews on our home building process, we were both happy, we would highly recommend Red Door Homes to anyone considering building a house.
Only poor quality item we noticed is sliding patio doors and screens that go with. Despite trying to fix screens they bind. Wish we would have gotten french doors.
We did have floorboards start squeaking in one place less than a year out. We're not able to get that satisfactorily taken care of. Other than that they surprised us at almost every point going above and beyond.
Michael Brummett was great, and always listened. He worked with us and made it a pleasant experience! The electrical subcontractor was very thorough and good to work with. The whole crew were pleasant.
The final grading on the side and back was never really finished. I realize part of it was time of year and rain..a lot of rain ..so it was muddy and no equipment could get in. But then it was just dropped. We are still dealing with that, trying to do it ourselves. A/C sub never seemed to come when scheduled. They were not very forthcoming with info we needed about our system.
Finish and trim work. Painting. Electrical sub panel in the basement. Electrical sub was very good.
I cant say enough about my experience with this builder. We love our house, we appreciate all the hard work they did.
I have built 4 homes with red door Knoxville and have plans to build more .
Could not be more pleased with the floor plan that we selected. We added on an upstairs bonus area, an upstairs bedroom/bathroom, and a covered patio. All of it was worth every penny... the second living space upstairs was such cheap space but is indispensable. Red Door is very flexible with add ons, upgrades, and i.e. picking out your own items from Lowes for them to install. Communication and miscommunication was very frustrating at times and building dragged on in the latter half of the process. This is the only reason that I hesitate to give Red Door the full 5 stars. However, when all is said and done, I am extremely pleased with the quality of work and the over all product.
I am retired but I have been a general contractor in 2 states, This company met my high standards.
We are very pleased with our home. Red Doors owner and lead builders are wonderful. Easy to work with and they want to give you what you want for your home.
I would definitely recommend red door if you are thinking about building. These are customized homes. The value and price per square foot is a great value.
