Overall good experience. I needed more time to be on top of the details
My experience so far has been exceptional. Lindsay is great to work with. Pro-Built provides a project binder with detailed descriptions of how the entire process will work, including time lines. They are organized and very professional.
They have done a very good job on this house. I couldn't be more happy with it.
This organization is prompt, follows through, and its work is impeccable.
Their customer service is fantastic. I have been very impressed with the quality of care.
Trust - This was my biggest fear in the process and the ProBuilt team exceeded expectations.
My biggest thing was that they built on time. That was very important to me.
Recognized Excellence - We would like to cite Beth for her superb abilities as our PM on the project. We would also like to commend Katie for her patience and ability to quickly turn things around expeditiously during the initial selections process and whenever we had questions during the build process. Krystel is very responsive and always updates us and follows up regarding issue resolution post move-in.
So far everything has been good
They have very good quality construction, timelines, attention, and good proper response.
We would recommend Probulit, they provided us with a beautiful home and stayed on schedule. Orry was wonderful to work with and was always responisive and personable.
DO NOT BUILD WITH PROBUILT!!!
Easily the worst and most expensive experience my wife and I have paid for, unfortunately costing us years of savings $$. Every image you see was work that was given to us to sign off on as acceptable per ProBuilt. If we pointed something out, we were pinned against the subcontractor and ProBuilt took zero responsibility as the project manager and home builder. Our sales rep Lindsay was responsive and professional, but from the moment ProBuilt had our money the entire project fell apart. They're an extremely dishonest and shady company.
We built in Melrose Farms and broke ground August of 2020 and moved in April of 2021...so our spec home project took over 8 months to complete. We asked for a move in date regularly for the final two months of the project and were never given an answer UNTIL ONE WEEK BEFORE MOVE IN! Our project manager pushed most issues to punch list, punch list tried pushing everything to warranty, and here we are in August of 2022 with punch list items still not finished. 11 month walk/warranty items also are still unfinished.
To summarize our project:
Our project manager was an absolute wreck for the entirety of our project and rarely communicated with us. He even no call, no showed on us for two finish meetings in a row, costing my wife and I money on a babysitter and time off of work. We never received as mush as an apology, except for "there must have been a scheduling miscommunication". Numerous finishes and upgrades, which you pay for cash upfront, were ordered wrong and we were made to feel as though it was our fault for making the change during our selections meetings. We made multiple attempts to get Bob and/or George involved, neither of which helped - George never even responded to us. Our front step was poured nearly 1ft. off center of our front door, but the project manager told us it was "the angle of our photo". Our roof was damaged all over the place before the siding was even finished. Our cabinets were completely destroyed - every cabinet had mis-drilled holes and screws or was damaged during install. The siding job was a joke. The drywallers (maybe their worst subcontractor) textured the coffered ceiling beams (upgrade $$$)...beams are NEVER textured, but project manager told us "we always texture the beams". Our walls and floors are extremely bowed throughout the home. Our dishwasher was just slid into place, never anchored and we were told that my wife and I "never ordered the mounting bracket" when selecting appliances...every new dishwasher comes with a mounting bracket (they threw it out along with our double oven mounting hardware). Our hood ($500 upgrade) was never connected to the vent, and the hood cover was still installed in an attempt to cover this up hoping we wouldn't notice (until our home filled with smoke after move in). Our front porch slab is already cracked down the middle. Our foyer entrance floor is bowed to the extreme. Every second floor vanity was leaking water into our new cabinets and down through the ceiling to the first floor. The LVT was damaged going into the basement, so a cheap aftermarket metal strip was poorly installed in an attempt to cover the damage. Our yard drain was covered with debris and buried during rough grade and we had to have our landscaper dig it up.
I could go on and on...every home in the final phase of Melrose Farms had a similar experience with ProBuilt.
I absolutely would not recommend hiring ProBuilt to build your home. If you do, or if they're the only builder available in the neighborhood, I'd highly suggest investing in a 3rd party inspector to help manage the project.
The process started with Dave, our sales person. Great first impression.Well informed.Followed up on all aspects of his responsibility. Beth who is on site, kept us well informed, followed up in a timely manner, and updated us on a regular basis. Office staff was patient during the process of picking out interiors.Shout out to Jason the finish carpenter. Did some special request we asked for and did them nice. Mario did a excellent job on the finish painting. Especially the wood work. Had some adjustments to the sprinkler system, and the sprinkler company followed up quickly.Dave and Beth drove the whole process. We feel we have a Quality Homes supported by Quality People. Annamarie, Joe and Joe Morrison.
Yes, I would, in the end, I got a beautiful cool house on the water with boat docks
Will provide final recommendations after home is complete! So far highly recommend.
Enjoyed working with such a knowledgeable staff.
They were able to build a home we asked them to build. Although they built it under the circumstance of material and labor shortage, many other companies are doing the same. I would have given them a 5 star if the quality was near perfect and our home was 100% complete. I understand the septic ws delayed due to the city's requirement but with better planning this could have been installed last year.
The communication with the company is great.
Already have recommended and they are now new clients for you!
I would HIGHLY recommend ProBuilt to ANYONE! Our home building journey has been so simple and enjoyable from our first meeting with Lindsay to our design meetings with Katie to our final walk through. Our Project Manager, Beth kept everything on track, kept us informed of the progress weekly and patiently addressed our questions and concerns very quickly. ProBuilt is the definition of customer satisfaction!
This is the second time that I built with Probuilt Homes. Although this experience was a bit more challenging, there were other outside factors to consider. I’m very happy with the results and would recommend Probuilt. It is important that the project manager really drives things forward. Once Orry took over the project things went very smoothly!
ProBuilt is excellent. We had a great experience with them!
Areas Of Satisfaction - ProBuilt's staff, and their trusted network of subcontractors, were all very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough during the entire home design and building process. But just as, or perhaps even more importantly, they were all very nice to us, and that counts for a lot.
I was working with ProBuilt from 1000 miles away. My main concern was honest communication. I was updated every step of the way. Communication was easy, professional and pleasant from my sales person, office staff, project manager and CEO.
Have not broke ground yet but so far we are super happy with Pro Built and Lindsay .
This response in up to my experience so far. Hopefully my opinion will not change by the end of the build
I was really pleased. We saw them at a local fair. I was satisfied by the way the rep explained the windows to us and that he clearly told us how to connect with the company to get the windows. They did an excellent job of having somebody come out to measure our home for the product. I also apprecia... more
We had a great experience overall. They really came through on everything they said they would. Their people are people we really trust with any project and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel.
We have had window panes replaced on 3 windows so far. the work has been well done. Pricing went up very significantly for the 3rd window which was just done. One pane cost us more to replace than the whole window had when we had it replaced.
